Just a simple idea so I'll get right to the point but concerning locked threads, why not put in parentheses beside the thread name what the thread was locked for? Examples: How to twerk(Spam) Randomguide27(Derailed) It would make the forums look tidier and if done correctly, possibly help make Individual threads more distinguishable.
Basically you want to have it broadcast why a thread gets locked. Not necessarily a needed feature as its two taps to find out why. Tap thread tap last page and scroll. Mods do say why it gets locked.
