Just an Idea I presented to the developers for a new addition to the leader board. The longevity leader board. Why I think it matter is more for new players to see how long players have been here and for veteran players to help promote the game to new players to keep them active and involved in the game. It also let's the community at larger see the players that have been here the longest regardless of stats, allies, value or battles. It let's those players share their experience with others and share fun stories from the old days of the game and share how the game has grown and evolved over time. I hope to see this happen. I think it's a great idea.
Meh, you think your so cool because of your 7 year achievement. You can easily look at someone's profile and see how long they have played.
It would change when people leave because it would only reflect active accounts not inactive accounts. Can anyone tell me who's played the longest? Didn't think so unless you want to search thousands of account. Time and experience matters not just stats because you can buy those you can't buy longevity or experience. That's why it matters. Do we really care who's worth the most? All that takes is lots of volleying of any account to be there. Just saying but haters will hate and trolls will troll.
No real way to "leave" kaw. It's not like you can deactivate an account with ease. What in your eyes counts as active that would keep a player on the LB?
Umm Cobra it's based off years of active play not time online bro some people play for hours at a time some people are on every day for a few hours. Some people just quit and never come back. You could leave your phone one for weeks and it's not moving you up only real time years will do that.
No, I think it's cool after seven years I can still be drawn back to this game and continue supporting it.
The devs can easily monitor active accounts just as they do every other LB stat it's not rocket science
Not rocket science, no. Computer science, yes. How would they determine the rankings? You already stated that it shouldnt be about who has played since the beginning, but about activity. What determines activity? If i press the home button, but dont completely close my app, am i still considered active? What if i just leave the web page going, 24/7? These things dont determine activity. I could easily get a crappy little alt to the top of that LB. It would prove nothing.

There is 0 possible way that it couldn't work, because there is 0 possibility that the devs will care enough to actually individually check each account in the game. While I generally like the idea, there is 0 possible way for it to be implemented in a non abusable way
I think the gist of my friend's message is for the devs to tweak their app to create an "active long time" player lb. Activity can be tracked by the devs. I agree with him that the great and dreadful history of the wars fought here should be shared with those willing to learn about them. Obviously, this was before stats could be bought and activity needed to be at an all time high. Yes, in acquiescence to the trolls here who would say "who cares? It would be meaningless". I understand. The history of the game matters less than growth and stature now. But, to all that were here in those first few months and fought very different wars than now, I'll say, and they'd agree, we all earned our scars and recognition. He was only trying to share that history that only the elder players here know and perhaps the younger players might learn from.
I support this idea, PROVIDED that the old players get an option to toggle to either opt to let themselves be on the so-called 'longevity' leaderboard or not! While it's nice for old players to share their experiences to the newer players, it is respectful to consider that not all of them are willing to! Maybe implement it in a way that only players who have played KaW for at least 4-5 years onward are eligible to toggle opt in/opt out to be shown in the longevity leaderboard!
