Literature General Discussion

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by saigonias412, Jul 15, 2015.

  1. Hello! This is my first forum thread in the game... I think. This will be a general discussion thread on works of literature. Whether it's asking for ideas in writing, quoting your favorite lines from a book, reviewing some things you've read, or just telling us about your favorite book, all forms of discussion are welcome here.

If I need to edit the introductory post, just tell me and I'll work on it as soon as possible.

  2. it isn't your first post, you have 53 posts, change it to say "first thread"

  3. Fixed

  4. What's your favourite colour (that wouldn't hurt peoples eyes)?

  5. Um... Blue? How does this pertain to the topic Though?

  6. blue text will be painful for eyes with the forum background lol

  7. Try [color =skyblue] before your thread and [/ color] at the very end (without the spaces)

    makes it look nicer

  8. What do you mean by that? Try harder? Or...

  9. Fixed it, sorry

  10. How would it look nicer? I find that the colors are often unnecessary and distracting.

  11. Well that's you loss than

  16. I read a book once. I really liked all the pretty pictures. I wish it would have had more of those.

  17. Only books I've voluntarily read are the Inheritance series. Eragon Eldest Brisingr Inheritance

And all The Series of Unfortunate Events

  18. You have to read more, I've read several hundred novels in the past 4 years

Being a jock and a nerd at the same time is sooo hard

  19. I really enjoy Rick Riordans books. Really did well with the Percy Jackson and Kane Chronicles (and the other I can't think of). Harry Potter was superb, although the movies really killed my enjoyment of them.
Michael Scott's The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel kept me riveted for hours, and the finale was truly something I'd have never seen coming.

  20. To make it easier for everyone to read ;)
