  1. Prologue

A man stops a small child. Rows and rows of hung shirts and pants surrounded them.
"Lift your hat" the man ordered, but the little boy just shook his head. "Boy, I know you've stolen something, now lift your hat and i'll just take it back" The boy stood his ground with a meek disposition and refused again. "Did you steal something?" The man asked. "No" replied the boy. "Then just lift your hat, you have nothing to hide" The man reached for the hat, but the boy was quick and with almost no effort, this small child twisted the mans arm around, forcing the man to face his back towards the boy.
"Wha-" The boy interrupted the man by applying preasure to the arm, anymore and it would snap. The man whailed in pain "Ok ok! look! you haven't stolen anything, just let me go" the man pleaded. The boy smiled and spoke, a darker tone to his voice, almost as if it wasn't from this world.
"Unfortunately, I did steal something". The mans eyes widened when slightly more pressure was applied to the arm. As boy gradually increased it, the mans shoulder began crackling and intense pain jolted all throughout the adults body. He tried to scream, but the air around him became too dry and his voice was like dust. A loud pop resonated through the store and the arm loosened from it's socket as the shoulder blade snapped. The skin, that joined his shoulder to his body, tearing as the boy pulled harder on the arm until he ripped the limb roughly off.The man grew cold as he dropped to his knees, the blood loss was too much for him to handle as it spewed from where his arm once was and skimmed across the newly polished floors. Before the man fell unconcious, however, the boy moved closer to his ear.
"I stole your life" he whispered while simultaneously tearing the security badge off his shirt pocket and stabbing it into the mans eye. Letting the force of the blow knock the man backwards onto the floor to writhe and die slowly in intense, violent pain.
The boys body was suddenly encased in shadow as he transformed, shrinking to a smaller size and into the shape of a small sparrow.
The sparrow flapped it's wings, gradually increasing speed, until he lifted off the ground and flew swiftly away from the scene as groups of people began rushing towards it. No one had seen a thing, no one noticed the sparrow swoop off and out the store nor did they assume he was the culprit of such a horrific deed.

    Chapter 1: Our Light

The Sparrow perched itself on a metal handrail overlooking a moonlit river in the center of the city. The night sky veiled the river in darkness, but the moonlight and electricity that filled the city reflected beautifully off the tiny ripples.
"It's a shame, man, polluting the air around such a beautiful place with their metal constructions" The Sparrow spoke as if there was someone listening, his voice so cold, it could freeze the river. Out of the shadows, someone responded, yet another voice as cold as the night air, but this one was of a female.
"You didn't give him much of a fighting chance, Ion" Not even a trickle of emotion shone through her words. The sparrow cocked it's head towards her and sighed.
"Don't tell me you're starting to care about them... Again" he added an authoritive tone to his final word. She slowly walked out of the shadows, her face pale and her lips even more so. Her right cheek was the canvas for a large tattoo, an uppercase L in a satanic font. Her eyes rich with eyeliner so to cover the prominent bags that haunted them, she stared at him blankly.
"Ell?" The Sparrow watched her, waiting for his answer.
"No, I do not, it's just... Not as fun when you don't give them the chance to fight" She gave him an answer she thought he would be most pleased with, covering her pale left arm with her hand.
"That wound" The sparrow noticed what she was trying to hide. "It still hasn't healed yet" he paused "So, you really did love him? that human". The Sparrow began to morph, now into his true self. Short black hair grew rapidly on his scalp as his face took a human-like form. He was built well, but still only lean. His face was as pale as Ells, though he wore no make-up to hide the horror he truly was.
"Yes" She whispered "I did love him". The newly formed Ion turned to the river and looked out beyond the lit windows of the buildings behind it.
"I didn't really save you, did I? You wanted him to stab you in your void, you wanted to turn" He was dissapointed, but showed nothing in his voice.
"Turn human, you mean? Of course not" Although she smiled at the thought.
"When I pushed you out of the way, I felt your reluctance, I knew straight away that you didn't want me to find you" Ion continued to stare forward blankly.
"I was not reluctant, I allready told you, I don't want to be huma-"
"Then why did you love him?" He turned his head to see her face, this time she showed a slight fear.
"You've been under lights command for aslong as I have, you know that when you fall in love with a human, it makes you susceptable to turning... Yet you still loved him anyway" He spat.
"All of us under Lights embrace, we have too much going on right now to have one of our members suddenly gain this... This compassion for a disgusting race. They are only vessels of emotion, nothing else, if he were to stab you in your void..." he stopped, his hand placed over where his heart would be if he were human. "We would have lost you Ell and then what?" he questioned her.
"Lights mission would have failed" She mumbled, her head rushing with thoughts.

  2. I do that sometimes tok :D

  3. Ion nodded, he didn't know what else to say. He knew she didn't have to take commands from him, although, he needed to protect her from her emotions, however she may have obtained them.
"We should head back to Light" Ion suggested. "We still have preparations to take care of, we're going to have a long year ahead of us". Ion walked away, leaving Ell to gather her thoughts.

  4. Chapter 2: Our Fangs

Geoff stood his ground, he couldn't run anywhere now, he was surrounded.
"Little Geoff, so scared, can't run home to his mommy" A large boy teased him menacingly while five others laughed around him. Geoff wanted to cry, but he knew he couldn't, he had to stay strong.
"Leave him alone!!" A little girls voice screamed from the distance, a desperate urgency flowed through her words.
"Geoffs little girlfriend come to save him?" The menacing boy laughed loudly, but the laughter was short lived. The girl leaped forward, tackling the bully to the ground, the five boys around him all gobsmacked.
The girls sharp nails tore into the bullies face, pieces of his cheek flew outwards as she scraped at him furiously.
The bully screamed in agony, but she didn't stop, soon his face was a bloody mess, no skin left, no breathe left, only a mass of blood. She stood and stared coldly at the rest of the boys. Geoff was the one who was most afraid, but he just fell backwards onto a patch of grass, watching in terror as she proceeded to tear into the rest of the kids. Blood, bones and strings of flesh scattered everywhere.

Ell shot awake, sweating. 'We don't dream, we don't sweat' she looked at her wound 'Why do I have these emotions? Why do I have these human tendencies?'. Ell scanned her room from her bed, she could easily see through the curtain of darkness that filled it. 'Everythings in order' she rested her head back onto her pillow. 'I don't uderstand why this is all happening to me, what have I done to displease Light?'. She slowly closed her eyes and fell back to sleep.

"You're safe now" The small girl smiled sweatly at Geoff. She had long black hair, wore a pink dress, much more formal than most girls her age, and her face was pale, even paler than the moon. Geoff shook in fear, he was only ten, much too young to be subjected to such violence and still keep a firm grasp onto his sanity.
"What's your name?" She asked happily. Geoff remained silent. "I'm Ell" She held out her hand, it was clean now, there was no sign that she had just ripped apart six, heavy set, fifteen year old boys.
"I-I'm Geoff" He reluctantly took her hand to shake it, but instead, she pulled him close and kissed him on the lips deeply.
"I know" She whispered "I've been watching you".

"ELL! Wake the **** up you *****!" A loud knocking startled Ell awake. She sighed 'Right at the good part'. "What do you want, Hive?" She angrilly replied. Ell lazily flopped her legs over the edge of her bed and sat up, facing the door that was being beaten by the angry man beyond it.
"Do you know what ******* time it is? No, better yet, day? You've been asleep for two weeks, Ell". Ell quickly swiped up her phone and checked the date, she let out an annoyed groan.
"Hive, you little ****, i've only been asleep for eight hours" She could just barely make out his laughter. "Hahaha I know Ell, but the way you reacted!! It was priceless, but seriously, get the **** up, we have work to do".

  5. The dress' base colour was grey with sharp red lines decorating it like bloodstains. A belt tightened the waist so that the fabric bell'd around her legs like a flower. It only had one sleeve, which was cut to show skin. The sleeve was on the left and hid her wound, which is what mostly pleased her. She hurried out her room.
Ion sipped his tea slowly. "Her fangs haven't dissapeared yet, Atleast that's a good thing" Gia smiled her sweet smile, so young at only twenty years turned, Gia had the appearance of a fifteen year old. She was postioned next to Ion, hands and knees on the couch they shared, her nose touching Ions cheek. "I wonder why, too" she shuffled and sat normally on the couch "He got her arm, wouldn't it have gotten rid of the one on the left atleast?" she looked upwards, towards the ceiling, in thought.
"Ell has a suprising resistance to it" Ion started, sipping his tea periodically, "Maybe it hasn't affected her as much as we've anticipated at this point, with any luck, maybe her resistance is strong enough to completely ignore the transformation altogether". Gia grinned.
"Does that mean we get to keep Ell?" She turned her head curiously towards Ion.
"Maybe, maybe not, we'll know in time" His words were cold. Gia sighed and slouched down. She hummed a sweet lullaby, dark in its intent, but calming in its tune. Ion joined in, singing the words that went with the melody.
"These are our fangs, wicked and bloody, soaking up pain of mortal despair. These are our eyes, poisoned and sharp. Watching the world as it grows old and dark. We are the light that will show all your lies, we are the light that will make the sky cry. We are your saviours, we're your bloodstain, we are the ones that will make you insane".

  6. Chapter 3: Our Time

Light placed his quill onto the paper infront of him. He began to write, recording words for anyone interested in reading them.

[/I]These are my records for what we are, what I am.

I would like to say we're vampires, and although we are not identical to what you would see in movies, our symptoms and our desires are almost too similar to ignore the connection. I dislike calling this a 'Diease', although what else could I reffer it as? We can spread it and turn humans into what we are, though the same works vise versa aswell. Many would laugh at the notion, though, calling humanity a 'Disease' would sound absurd to any mortal, so I will refrain from indicating that as one of my thoughts.
Instead of the cliché blood sucking, we feed on pain. The pain, we need, helps us survive and live longer and we absorb this through our fangs, our fangs are our weapons, not our teeth. My fang, for instance, is my magic, if I use this to harm anyone, it allows me to automatically absorb their pain. Bloods purpose only consists of making us stronger for a short time, kind of like a drug, although it isn't necissary and we absorb this through our skin.
We do feel emotion, though only rarely and it is a dangerous thing. Passionate emotions are what make us vulnerable: Hate gives humans the ability to kill us, Love gives them the ability to turn us human again, those two are the only ones i've been able to study so far and unfortunately, i've had the experience of seeing these effects first-hand.[/I]
