Laws and Regulations

Discussion in 'Off Topic' started by xlil-Madara_Uchiha-lilx, Apr 29, 2015.

  1. Tonight I'm making my very first forum however I'm not gonna get into that cause this thread isn't about that.

Instead I wanna hear YOUR opinions on what you think about the state law and regulation on the sell of alcohol, not just any law but the law of when it can and can't be sold.

So tonight I went out and bought 3 tall cans of beer, now I live in California and the law states that any alcohol can't be sold between the hours of 2am and 6am. I barely made it in time to buy my beer it was about like 1:40am and I know other states they have different laws and regulations on this. What I wanna hear from you guys is do you think it's fair that they have these laws? Do think it's unfair? Why do think that is and should there be any changes to it?

Now this is an open discussion to all, I wanna hear your opinion on what you think and please remember your opinion is YOUR opinion so take no offense of anyone else arguing against you.

  2. No sure why they would stop selling beer over there, it's not like you can get drunk off it. It's weak as piss.
We used to have similar laws but scrapped them now it's ffa

  3. It's not just beer it's all alcohol even the night clubs and bars can't sell any alcohol at 2am they close down at 1:30am tho to get everyone out by 2am

  4. That's just crazy. Pubs and clubs shut at 23:00 here but they can also get a late night license to stay over til 4 i believe. But then pubs open again at 9 for breakfast

  5. See 4am to 9am isn't bad compared to 2am till 6am

  6. In San Salvador, drunk drivers can be sentenced to death by firing squad. Now thats a great law that all countries should follow

  7. You know... My dad is from El Salvador and I've been to El Salvador but I've never heard of that before

  8. Here you cant sell from 10pm to 6am. But meh i don't drink anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  9. Damn that's like way to strict tho, unless that state had problems with drinkers way back then is insider stand but seriously tho 8 hours of dry time is a lot

  10. Not sure if its true or not just got it off the web

  11. Well I guess I believe you, cause the Internet never lies

  12. Exactly! Haha. I googled my name. Apparently im dead!!

  13.  I'm talking to a ghost

  14. I think it's a pointless law, it just encourages people to buy a crap tonne at like 1 when they've reached their peak and drink as much as they can and buy as much as they can before 2.
I can see the reasoning behind it is so that people will plan how much they buy before they're drunk so they dont get completely wasted but people will just go at 1 if supplies are low and buy almost as much as they planned out so the law probably causing more damage than protection.

  15. I agree with you there clumsy since if seen it happen and done it myself before

  16. Like I know from experience living elsewhere that if u have no limit to when u can buy the sweet stuff u will only buy what people want and you wont have to predict what you want and buy too much.
But if u buy too much, you know you're going to drink it so it's a stupid law :p

  17. Yea but sometimes people don't care if it's too much cause they're addicted to that drunk feeling and they just make it last as long as they can

  18. I think you shoulda bought another 3 pack. Then we wouldn't be having this discussion

Seriously though, I too live in Cali and I never knew you couldn't buy past 2am

    Seems ******* retarded to me

It's just as stupid as having a like but no dislike button on faceboooooooook

  19. Yeah that's what im saying haha :p recently ive been holding back on getting completely drunk but I know I do enjoy being pissed out my face xD

  20. You like being pissed on your face?
