  1. Dedicated to: Nitro, for thinking my story was a bit cliche.

In the village of Nan, lived pilgrims, peasants, and kings. 12 specific peasants however, were the poorest of them all. No food, water, or clothes. As the pilgrims sat and watched people go by, they saw King Richard. King Richard was the wealthiest of them all. The peasants begged and begged until the king finally gave in and gave them 1 silver coin each. With their money, the pilgrims combined it to have enough money to run a store.

The bazaar was quite full. Clothing stores, food markets, and so on. They thought and thought, until they came up with an idea. They put a store right in front of the kings castle. The king visited everyday, buying things, and checking in just to say hi. The king became fond of these men and thought they deserved better.

The king asked them if they wanted to work for him. All of the pilgrims agreed. The king told them they were going to become knights. They men were very surprised when he said that. They said ok, and the king gave them their armor.

The king set them out on a quest. They had to kill beasts. Mighty, ferocious beasts. Big fangs and sharp claws, a knights worst nightmare. They completed that quest very well. A few cuts and bruises but other than that they were fine. The king rewarded them with a sack of gold, and a necklace.

The pendant on the necklace was a 12 pointed star. The men thought of why it was 12 pointed, but then they realized it was them. Each point represented a skill. Strength, defense, stealth, agility, speed, loyalty, trust, bravery, stupidity, wealth, teamwork, and most importantly, never giving up.

The knights grew old and weary, and eventually died, bit since then, they were well known around the village. They will always be remembered as the bravest heroes of all.
