The next Red Paladin contest will run early next week. Estoc Trials FAQ -------------------------- Q: Matchups are not fair/balanced/equal! A: We try our best to create the best possible matchups, taking into account everyone that signs up. Due to the # of signups we have, it's impossible to create a perfect matchup for everyone. We are looking into some possible solutions for this, one of which is to adjust the minimum and maximum clan sizes. Q: The lag is horrible and it is causing us to lose the war! A: This is a complex issue, and hopefully this explanation will put to rest some of the questions that have been brought up. A common situation where a delay in processing actions happens when one player receives many incoming actions. The player that is receiving this action will most likely experience the "spinner" for several seconds when they try to do an action themselves. At the end of this, they will receive a notice that says that they were knocked out. This is a point of frustration for many as they feel that if the spinner had not come up, they would be knocked out. While our servers may take a few seconds to resolve all of the actions (it can be easily over 20 at once), we do record when we receive each action and the action that was triggered first will receive the Knock Out. Chances are, if you had 9 incoming actions and you tried to attack, you chances of being the first action is ~10%. To reiterate, while it may take our servers some time to determine the results, the results are fair and the first action that was performed will go through. Now, we are doing what we can to reduce the amount of waiting time players experience, and have been upgrading our hardware to accommodate for the number of actions that occur during Estoc Trials. Q: Tower Build is too powerful/unfair/imbalanced/encourages turtling! A: We are aware of the tower build and will have an update regarding this in the coming week. We have been reading everyone's feedback on both sides of this issue. Apologies for not providing a definitive answer on this at this time. Q: Will the war times change week to week? A: The war schedule we have right now is fixed until further notice. If we are to change war times, we will provide as much advance notice as possible for clans to prepare. Kaw plays best on a wifi connection. When I leave the house and switch to 3G my lag increases 10 fold.
That's probably because Wi-Fi is faster.... And I agree. The lag is irritating, but it makes sense why it is happening and why it really can't be solved with a quick couple codes. Thanks devs for doing your best
I would like to know if anything is happening with the tower build - 20 towers = DTW to attack when spy is zero and DTW to assassinate and steal when troops are at zero. Is this an intended mechanism? Should we expect that it won't be removed? My second question is whether towers in general will be nerfed. Either an across the board stat nerf or perhaps making part of the stats scale with spy. So not all static. Thank you.
Thanks for addressing the lag issue. Now fix the mith payout for ppl who win the war based on FF. we receive low payments. I know someone posted a thread about how being able to ff is exploitable because it is. A team that is losing can ff with 10 mins left and screw everyone for their mith payment. Thanks ~~ kyump
I agree, the tower build is an issue. But they are sacrificing plunder/growth to succeed in wars. I have a 50/50 mindset about them.
I was hoping to see an update concerning the tower builds. Its a pretty important issue that a lot of people are concerned about.
The explanation you have given for lag does not resolve the problem or give any faith in the process. While I can accept that the server may take time though will give a fair result this only works if you know your being attacked. The frustrating thing is when you attempt to attack and it tells you your ko even though your bars tell you that you have troops and you have no news about incoming. Then up to 30 seconds after you get news of the attacks. As you have stated you are updating to lessen the lag therefore its obvious your servers are not fit for purpose. To be honest I find your attempt to distract from the fact your servers are not fit for purpouse offensive as it insinuates we are too stupid to work this out. Sometimes you jus need to be honest and admit that the service is not good enough and your doing all you can to resolve it that way you wouldn't lose respect for taking us for idiots
