KaW

  1. Is anyone still around that remembers when the the first HTE was released? Remember how we said that it would kill the game? And then the first "collect feathers" event, and people said it would kill the game?

Well, currently, WC can be scrolled back to 10 mins. I've seen it at 45 recently. There was a time you couldn't get to one minute. Was the kawmunnity right? Did all these dumbass events kill the game? Did the devs money hungry streak end KaW as a premier mobile game? I think it has

ive been around much longer than HTE btw

  2. Omg you're 3 years old?
    Congratulations.

  3. Lol. Most players remember hte being introduced. I preferred the random eb bonuses tbh.

  4. Good days

  5. I remember when ebs were introduced...

  6. I remember a lot of things from the past...
Reminiscing about them here won't solve anything ;)

  7. As much as I hate to admit it, the speed of WC is really a huge sign of how much this game has shrunk

And you're right. HTE destroyed this game

  8. I think HTE and constant events might have reduced the player base but the game is by no means dying. There's still plenty of spenders to keep KaW going for a while yet I think. For the players that might have left, there's even more spending a great deal.

  9. I detect more than a hint of "assclown"

  10. It's your upper lip

  11. I just want pwar times back. :(

  12. You can make more money off of ebs than from pwars...

Pwars were pretty much the reason the devs released ebs anyway. Just ebs aren't exploiting the system

  13. I still want them back. The times when i was OSF were great.

  14. Nope..my upper lip smells like your mom's a..

  15. Momma jokes. U haz dem

  16. Yes, system wars themselves is what ruined the game. If they only tracked what was happening instead of having incentives they'd have been fine. Ally trading would have remained the top money maker and the game may not have tanked.

Keep in mind this game came out in 09 for the 3s iPhone. How do you make a text game compete now? You don't.

I played the second test war iG/fox so I was present before the system was even in place.

  17. Games dead and has been dying for a long time, it's a slow death, like playing penny slots.

  18. lol remember when they originally released x2 & x3 haunts & gave out free xtals atleast every month, then they realised they could get ppl to pay for it XD

  19. Seems like they're trying to retain players (and essentially the life of the game) by running constant events which result in players getting massive rewards from little-to-no effort

  20. Kaw is far from dead. However, there are some things ATA could do to help this game out tremendously.

I would reduce the number of events to 4. Each event would last a week and would kick of the start if a new season (summer fest. Fall fest. Winter fest. Spring fest)

4 weeks per year for "festival events" means juuuust under 10% (1/13th to be precise) of game time is dedicated to the devs "giving" us something to do. The rest of the time we can entertain our selves, and actually, we are pretty good at it.

Instead if focusing on new back to back events, I'd like to see emphases placed on a few other things in the app that would allow the community to better entertain it's self.

Let's start off by giving the community a richer clan structure. We've been asking for that for years now. This is a slam dunk winner.

Next... Let's give people their own bio page to fuss over. Gaw had this feature, and it was great. The community used bio pages to brag about accomplishments and talk smack. A bio page is much better than a Simple banner.

These are two of my top picks for enhancing your kaw experience. I am sure the community has others.

My larger point is this. I'd like to see ATA Improve its existing product before it pushes any more events or other stuff. We need to get back to the basics. This is a great game, but it is due for a polish. Until that happens, new events/releases won't be as successful as they could be
