    • Prologue

    • Baby Jerad, the Ocean God

    Rumor had it among the palace staff, that my parents had recieved a huge golden letter today. So as I crept silently along the cold hardwood floors, I made a mental note to look for it.

    I peeked through my parents door, trying to listen in to whatever they were saying...

    “What about Jerad,” my mother said. “We can't just leave him here he's only-”

    Something stopped her.

    “You will leave him there,if you do not arrive in Constantinople at midnight tonight, let's just say people will get hurt!” a mysterious voice said.

    I shuddered.

    On the floor lay the golden letter, light streaming into the room from it. I figured the letter had contained a hologram, something that will let you speak to a person and see and hear them, but not touch them.

    I slowly began walking away. Then, I ran, all the way to the observatory. I needed to catch up on my sea creature studies anyway…

    _____________________________________________________

    I had only been a mere boy when they had left for Constantinople. My parents,the ocean, sea, or water god and fire goddess, would never return…

    I was the new God of The Ocean and I would soon meet many people like me people who were… special.

    ______________________________________________________

    I live in a world where serpents roam freely, nations become empires, people are born with powers, gods stroll together in parks, and a nations army could be a disgusting bunch of thieves and murderers.

    I live in a place where giants reign in deserts, nature spirits can walk amongst mortals and the supernatural, trees grow higher than the tallest mountain, continents are all connected through narrow or wide natural land bridges, and mages, warriors, and spys are everywhere.

    I live in a place where murders, thievery, and crime can be an nations army, not to mention the entire military, which is the air force, marines, navy, coast guard and army.

    I would soon find out, that I live in a war zone.

    The point of view changes a few times in almost every chapter, so make sure you remember the characters.

    • Chapter One, Part One: Lynet

      Jerad

    I stiffened when I heard a knock at the door...I hadn't got a visitor in months.

    “Niles,” I said. “Someones at the door!”

    Niles was my butler, he wasn't very tall and had grey eyes, and tan skin.That's about all I can tell you about Niles, except I've known him for as long as I can remember.

    “I'm coming master," Niles said.

    “Nevermind,I'll get it.” I said

    I walked slowly, but confidently, towards the door.

    As I opened the door, I felt a sense of calmness wash over me, I suddenly begin to think of elements and how they coexsist: earth and fire or water and air, in the perfect harmony.

    --------------------------------

    • Lynet

    A man of about six foot three, dressed in luxurious blue robes opened the door, running one caramel colored hand through his short dirty blonde hair, while using the other to readjust his shorts. His dark blue eyes stared into mine, and I suddenly became very self-conscious.

    I stuck out my hand and curtsied.

    “My name is Lynet,I'm pleased to make your acquaintance.” I said.

    “I'm Jerad,” He said, extending a muscular arm and taking my hand in his,slowly brushing his lips across it. “The pleasure is all mine,” He replied.

    ----------------------------------

    • Jerad

    So, her name is Lynet,I thought.

    A beautiful name.

    I touched a lock of her soft, dark brown hair, staring down at her into her deep sea green eyes.

    Such beauty can only rival one...Princess Jatoria of the Croluxian Kingdom.

    I liked the way her lightly tanned skin felt on my lips. Instantaneously we realized what we'd been doing, me standing there like an idiot, still holding her hand.

    “Sorry,” I said. “I just can't get my brain to think right in the presence of such beauty. Please, do come in.”

    I moved aside, giving her room to enter the palace in which I lived.

    “What brings you here, Lynet of the…” I stopped. I hadn't really thought about what she was, maybe a færy or a nature spirit, such as a dryad or a naiad, one from the many surrounding rivers and trees.

    “Aura's” She finished for me.

    Ahhhh, I thought, She's an aura, a spirit of the air.

    How ignorant was I to believe she was JUST an aura...

    "So what brings you here, o ye less fortuneate minor nobless?" I asked, gazing at the pendant around her neck, a air symbol that was only given to the lesser ranking.

    Her eyes moved towards my sword.

    “I've come for information on your sword, who created it? Oh and, you'd better watch how you address me, Jerad, because I will choke you with your own ascot.” She asked, refering to the sword at my waste, and the green scarf around my neck.

    “Cygnus,” I replied, scarcely afraid. “The best blacksmith in all the known Realm!I could take you to him if you want, since I'm feeling generous today.”

    “I'll have to take you up on the offer,” She said.

    NILES!!!” I yelled. “Show Lady Lynet to a set of rooms please.”

    “Yes sir.” He replied, half glum half happy.

    I was so glad she took the bait, she probably thought I was just a high ranking noble, and had heard of the things my sword could do; cut through the strongest of metals, command the tides.

    I hoped she'd never find out I was a god.

    Wait! Why was I just letting her into my house? We barely knew each other!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    • Lynet
    As I unpacked my things for the night,I began to cry.
    Not like last time, I told myself, I won't lie this time.This time they will trust me. No one will get hurt. Eventually I'll have to tell him my identity, though, I thought. If anyone discovered I was...and the Centurion found out where I was…
    I sobbed, my tears running at high speeds down my cheeks.
    Suddenly, Jerad burst in.
    “What's wrong?” He demanded, his sword which I found out was named Jasper, raised in an offensive position.
    I was so choked up, I couldn't speak.
    “Shhhhhhh...” he said.
    He hugged me, slowly wrapping his arms around me, then kissed my forehead.
    “We will discuss this in the morning at breakfast." And having said that, he walked swiftly out the door.
    • Chapter One, Part Two: The Centurion's Spy
    • Jerad[/u]
    I was intrigued by the way Lynet had acted last night.Surely, she'd been taught to compose herself more as a child.
    “Ah you've come to breakfast at last!” I said as she came down the stairs.
    “Good morning to you, too.” she replied with a hint of attitude.
    “Well OK then um, Sausage?” I offered.
    “I'm a vegetarian, I saw a cow get slaughtered,once.” she said shuddering.
    “OK then,what happened last night,Lynet,you really had me worried about you?” I said,genuinely concerned.
    “Nothing, and don't worry about me,I can take care of myself.Why don't you try worrying about your own safety for a change.I'm sure it'll be a hard task for you," She said, sarcasm layering her words. “And if you'll excuse me,I'm going back to my room."
    She headed up the stairs.
    Those last words had stung, I most certainly could take care of myself. It was not a hard task either.
    “FINE, BE THAT WAY THEN. WHEN WILL YOU BE READY TO LEAVE FOR CYGNUS'S FORGE!!!” I screamed angrily up the staircase.
    “Whenever you are!” she snapped back.
    Where did she get the thought that she could yell at me in my house?
    -------------------{|}---------------------
    • Elsewhere in The Realm
    "I sense the them approaching... It is time." Cygnus said, his voice barely above a whisper.
    Then, the legendary blacksmith's hammer struck the experienced anvil for the first time in many years.
    “I must prepare her weapons and their armor, I'll need water from the Coral Wells and air from the Auran Spheres.” He said to himself.
    Tsk Tsk,hopefully they'll bring some.
    None of his projects would amount to the current one about to be undertaken, except... The Crashing of The Communications Pillar.
    ---------------------{|}---------------------
    • Arria
    “Queen of The Auras,eh?” I said.
    Shouldn't be to hard,I thought.
    I'd done this countless times before, I was a spy, an assassin, a traitor to my people…an outlaw, just as my father had been. It was all I'd ever learned. Sure, I looked normal enough, but each day I cleaned and hid my weapons, only coming out at night. And in daylight, but only if necessary.
    ---------------------------------------------
    • A Centurion
    She had curly raven-black hair, and piercing black eyes. No one knew her name, so we and her other employers just called her The Bounty Huntress. She looked tall and slender, but everyone who knew her, knew she was strong...and deadly.
    ---------------------------------------------
    • Arria
    My mom died when I was young so all I had for a role model was father.
    Now I was being employed by The Centurion, who trained only in the art of the Warrior and Ranger.
    They are the army for the empire of Centega.
    “If you fail, we will kill you, if they don't get to you first.” The Centurion said.
    You wanna bet, I thought. Not if I kill you first.
  5. Re: The KaW Chronicles
    Chapter Two: Part (1/2)
    Lynet's View
    I didn't eat lunch that day I was so furious.
    Instead I spent lunch time sketching De Anakolumian which means The Palace of The Ocean.
    It's beautiful,I thought.
    ***********************************************************************************
    I recently got a book from Jerad's Palace library. It's called: King Teja's Guidebook.
    It was made specially for the known Realm. The author's name is King Teja. No one knows if he still exists although there's always a possibility.
    I think we'll need this information later on in our quest to find Cygnus, so I decided to write it down.
    Page 782-Article A
    De Anakolumian is a Palace
    The first part of this paragraph is marked out, so I'll just read you the part that isn't. Who would do something like this to a book!Now I might never know what it said.
    It has a grand door,with intricate designs that tell the history of KaW.
    These include glyph writings about Majesty's Kingdom,which still hasn't been found yet,and Faery's Lighthouse.
    It has a beautiful observatory looking out towards the Realm of KaW.
    Even more rooms accommodate the palace including a giant library, the rumored Crinus's Passage see page 37, The Realm Communications Room which is connected to the Pillar of Communications and many more.
    Page 37- Article E
    Crinus's Passage is the only supposed way to enter Cygnus's Forge and the Lands of Fire.Also rumored to be the home of Crinus the greatest Ranger in all the Realm no one has seen him since…
    The next sentence is also blotted out. We may never know the last time someone saw him.
    I closed the book and put down my quill and paper.
    ~~~~~~~~~~

    I found Jerad in the Library sitting in a satin blue chair. I snuggled up to him without a sound, my head on his shoulder.

    “I'm sorry the way I acted at breakfast,” I said. “It's just I'm scared.”

    “What about,” He asked.

    “If I told you they'd find me,” I whispered. “What are you reading,” I said,swiftly changing the subject.

    “Some information on the legendary battle of the Serpentines and the Centurion or the empires of Serpent and Centega.” He replied.“I find it interesting how the Serpentines won. They sent people into Centega undercover as the Centurion's soldiers and had them slowly kill the soldiers off, one by one, putting and spreading plagues around in their food supply, putting poisonous animals inside the tents, basically anything to sabotage them.”

    “It sounds very strategic to me,” I said.

    “I've never met a Serpentine before.” He remarked.

    Maybe with a Serpentines help…it wouldn't be enough to kill them all…it's impossible, they sent hundreds of Serpentines into Centega when they started the espionage…I thought.

    “I'll be ready to go to Cygnus's Forge tomorrow.” I said.

    “OK, that's great,we'll depart at 10 am.” he replied.

    --------------{|}---------------

    Crinus's Passage

    “She nears, the time approaches, the third one is on her way.” Crinus said,to no one in particular. With that said and done he set out on a journey…to Edam, or as he knew it: Edamynoe.

    ---------------------------------------------

    Jerad's View

    Aloenomia, I whispered.

    Instantly every book in the library rearranged it's self to proper order, one page had been torn from a book though.

    Strange,the spell has never done that before,I thought.

    I picked it up from off the floor. Before my eyes a map began to materialize on the page. Crinus's Passage it read.

    Many different places on the map, I recognized and others, I didn't.

    ~~~~~~~
    We made camp early…because we'd gotten lost.
    It was cold in Crinus's Passage we'd passed by several tunnels leading to different places such as Serpent and Edamynoe. But we'd forgotten to look at the map, how could anyone with such beauty in a simple but complex passage like Crinus's.
    ---------------------------------------------
    Lynet's View
    I awoke from the chill of the night, it was freezing! I sensed waves of heat and cold coming from deeper within the passage...
    I slowly go up, stretching my muscles, and went over to Jerad's tent, calling his name.
    “Huh?” He asked.
    “Let me in, it's freezing.” I said.
    He let me in and I got under his blankets.
    “WHOA,” He said suprised. “What are you doing?”
    “It's cold and you have blankets,” I said simply. “Besides can't two friends be in one tent together, even if they are different genders?”
    “U-u-mm…yes,but your wearing lingerie. It'll make me feel…uncomfortable.” He replied.
    “Deal with it.” I said, and with that I moved myself closer to him. Trying to make him even more uncomfortable, I laid my hand on his, broad, muscular, chest. Slowly wrapping his left arm around me, letting the warmth envelope me, I fell asleep.
    Hahaha, I thought I heard Jerad say. Two can play at that game, let's see how she likes it when I say in the morning, that she woke up in my bed.
    But strangely,he didn't pull away.
    • Chapter Two: Part (2/2) The Serpentines Capture
    • Cygnus
    "Crap!" I screamed, sucking my burnt thumb. Making this armor is harder than I thought it would be.
    My hammer struck the metal with such force and power, that it sounded throughout my Forge and possibly the Passage, too.
    I can only hope they make it in time…
    “Crinus where art thou.” I whispered.
    He set his work aside freezing it before the metals could harden, they would still be soft when he unfroze them later, it was time to begin his work on Se Lefian Serpentionae Arria, “The Bow of The Serpentine Arria”…
    The wood would play a special role, one you can't imagine.
    Hopefully, Crinus had made it to Edamynoe by now.
    --------------------{|}----------------------
    • Jerad
    Lying there with only my briefs on I started to feel really confused, so much that I couldn't sleep, this wasn't adding up right.
    One of the beautifulest women in the Realm was lying next to me in my bed, her hand on my bare chest, her body so close to my own, her head on my shoulder.
    Why would anyone want to lie next to me like she had? Was it really for the warmth? Or was it for darker reasons? Did she lust for me?
    Just ignore it! I mentally scolded myself.
    As my conscious cleared, I put my chin on her head, and slept…
    ********************************
    I'd been looking through Lynet's notes earlier and they're quite exquisite... next time I'll read the book myself.
    Sol Arnoth
    The Ancient One.
    A humongous BlackRay tree the height of Mt. Everest.
    Located in the heart of the Garden of Edam. Sacred to the Dryads of Edamynoe. Sol Arnoth has many sons and daughters which make up the BlackRay Forest in the Garden of Edam. Sol Arnoth is the home of the Greatest Dryad- Augustus.
    Sol Arnoth is the official name given to the giant tree.
    The Garden of Edam-
    A humongous place in the land of Edamynoe.
    Home to the strongest wood and magical in all the realm. It is called a garden because if the diversity of climates in it. Much like states make up the USA as a country, well the different places (states) make up the Garden of Edam (country).
    The Garden of Edam contains:
    The BlackRay Forest
    Phi Lacus
    Sol Xavitre
    Anna Dominni
    and a few minor spots.
    Anna Dominni-
    The Desert of the Araeviers.
    Home to the Araevier Nomads there's nothing really special about it except that the Nomadic Araevien (Araevier) Warriors thrive there.
    In the heart of Anna Dominni lies the Stone Home. The Stone Home is a gigantic palace that the Araviers transport as their capital everytime they move.
    They are the Giants of the realm. Literally, giants. The tallest and strongest one, Goliath, is fifteen feet tall.
    Sol Xavitre-
    The Giver of Life.
    Take the length of the Nile and triple it and you get the length of Sol Xavitre.
    Sol Xavitre is the sponsor or patron of Sol Arnoth for without him there wouldn't be a BlackRay forest or Sol Arnoth for that matter. Sol Xavitre is home to the most powerful Naiad in the history of the Nature Spirits - Althalos.
    Father of rivers, streams, creeks, etc.
    Althalos saw potential in Augustus, a small, miniature dandelion at the time.
    Althalos directed Sol Xavitre to it and thus became Augustus the Strongest Dryad to ever live.
    Sol Xavitre is the official name given to the river.
    Phi Lacus-
    The Fire Lands.
    Here lies the Croluxian kingdom.
    The Volcanic Seas are located here.
    The beautifulest woman in the Realm, Princess Jatoria, lives here along with her husband, Prince Rowan who is almost equally charming but not the handsomest in all the realm, for that's of course Matt, Ruler of Phi Lacus and Jerad, Ruler of De Anakolumous.
    ---------------------{|}---------------------
    • Crinus
    I'd reached Sol Arnoth, traveling through my passage had been easy, for I knew the way by heart.
    I kneeled down in front of Sol Arnoth and prayed.
    “Sol Arnoth,” I spoke. “I am in need of your children, war is almost upon us, although know one seems to notice.”
    Augustus the Dryad came forth from his tree.
    “What sort of war?” He questioned.
    “The Battle of FanFiction and RolePlay! The Centurion are trying to conquer FanFic for it's knowledge and gold! Serpents is sending spys again to sabotage them! Dragosia is awakening and I fear Queen Dajzha will start conquering!” I said. “All is not well.”
    “Very well, if you need me and my father Althalos, we'd be happy to help.” He replied.
    “Thank you Augustus,your cooperation is greatly appreciated!” I said, taking out my axe.
    “WHOA,” He shouted, cringing. “What are you gonna do to my children with that?”
    “Cut them down of course.” I said.
    “Two fell yesterday, but their roots are still attached, in fact they are still screaming in pain, please put them out of their misery!” He pleaded.
    “As you wish Augustus,one more thing,I need one of your leaves for Se Lefian Serpentionae Arria.”I said.
    He gasped.
    “So she has come?” He asked.
    “Indeed, my friend, indeed.” I replied.
    Suddenly a giant blue leaf appeared at the top of Sol Arnoth. Augustus floated up to the top if his tree and plucked it off.
    He roared in agony.
    “Here-you-are.” He told me through gritted teeth.
    “Thank you again” I said sincerely.
    “No Crinus, thank my children, for they are the ones you really need.” He said politely.
    “I must be off now,” I said.
    “Farewell” He replied.
    And I walked into the BlackRay Forest.
    --------------------{|}---------------------
    • Elsewhere in the Garden of Edam
    My cloak fluttered in the wind. As I looked toward the Kingdom, I saw…
    A chosen one.
    So innocent and naive. So deadly, so full of grief.
    Creeping into the BlackRay Forest from Phi Lacus without a sound, and barely visible.
    I held up a huge tablet with the symbol of Power on it, it glowed and shined brightly.
    “Desmoriape,” I said.
    §You have my protection§
    I, Princess Jatoria whispered.
    ---------------------{|}---------------------
    • Crinus
    I dragged the giant trees back to Augustus.
    “I've put them out of their misery!” He exclaimed. “I need a favor now, would you teleport me and the trees to Cygnus?” I asked.
    “Of course.” He said.
    He began whispering and merged back into his tree.
    For a split second, I couldn't hear or see anything. Then I heard the faint sound of banging. Gradually it grew louder I got my bearings.
    I heard and then I saw, for the first time in years, since Jerad had been born in fact, Cygnus was using his hammer.
    ----------------------{|}--------------------
    Arria
    I had almost made it to the tent when suddenly a voiced yelled Rœpenæl!
    Four ropes suddenly materialized in front of the tent and rapidly began heading towards me. I dodged two but the others wrapped around me binding me to a stalagmite.
    I was trapped.
    Then, I screamed in pain as my mind collapsed... and blacked out.
    §_____Chapter Three_____§
    §The Serpentines Prophecy§
    Arria
    My head throbbed, as my vision slowly made it's comeback.
    What am I doing here? I thought.
    Then my memory came flooding back in waves, Queen of The Auras, The Centurion, the ropes, the spell, my name, all of it.
    I was startled out of my thoughts by a man, and as I tried to focus on him, I felt a burning sensation behind my eyes.
    “Why are you here?” he asked.
    “I've come for the Queen.” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
    “What Queen?” he asked.
    “Of the Auras, of course.” I said, drinking in the fact that I knew more information than him.
    “Do you mean,” he said slowly, processing the vital intell I'd just given him, putting the pieces together. “Lynet?”
    I nodded.
    “LYNET!”he yelled.
    --------------------{|}----------------------
    Cygnus
    “Crinus, you've arrived at last,” I said. “I was beginning to worry about you.Have you brought the items?” he inquired.
    “Of course Cygnus,everything is beginning to fall into place." Crinus said. "Princess Jatoria spotted Arria going into the BlackRay Forest yesterday-” I cut him off.
    “Augustus said he saw her going into the passage a little before you got here.” I said.
    “Hmm, that means she should've reached them by now.” Crinus said.
    “Then you know what we must do,right?” I asked, my voice just above a whisper.
    “It's time to tell King Matt who he really is…but first we must finish the weapons!” Crinus exclaimed.
    “Hand me the ingredients, I'll need your help for this.” I said, my voice still barely above a whisper.
    To this day people still only know of one time that my voice was above a whisper.
    “If only those kids would get here,we could get this over with already!” Crinus said agitatedly.
    And so we waited…
    -----------------------{|}----------------------
    The Stadium
    A mass of people had gathered in the stands to hear the State of The Realm speech, which would be given by Star, one of the most popular administrators.
    “Please give a round of applause for…The Board!” the announcer announced.
    The crowd went wild.
    Screaming, yelling, crying, and applauding, all those things and the announcer was as calm as ever.
    “Welcome…Administrator Delphin, Moderator Zaln, Administrator Star--” the announcer stopped, at the mention of Star the crowd went absolutely insane.
    People began jumping out of the stands trying to reach Star.
    “Tramqilon,” Zaln shouted, the tiny scar on his left cheek rippling from the movement of his mouth.
    Suddenly the crowd that had amassed on the stadium floor flew back into the stands,their bodies hitting the chairs with a loud thud.
    “Thank you Zaln.” the announcer whispered.
    Zaln nodded.
    “Last but not least,Moderator Angel!” the announcer said, satisfied with himself.
    ---------------------{|}---------------------
    Morgur Artidrà
    I surveyed the ground, moss crunching under my bare feet. I'd just stepped out of my cave for the first time in many moons.
    My black cloak trailed behind me, my feet on solid ground once again.
    It was time to unleash The Spammer, a giant beast kind of like a dog, with three heads.
    The Roles-Players and the Centurion would win this battle!
    The Mage of The Araeviers was on their side.
    As I went back into my cavern in the steep mountainside above the valley, I couldn't help but get the
    feeling I was being watched.
    ---------------------------------------------
    Thorlas
    I watched him very closely, my breath coming out slowly.
    Morgur wasn't the only powerful Mage fighting in this battle.
    Suddenly Morgur stopped, his head cocked to the side.
    He turned around slowly.
    Enigma, I whispered, and I disappeared.
    --------------------{|}----------------------
    Smighter
    There he was! The one who had jumped me in that alley.
    Oh, this was gonna be good,
    I thought.
    I took one of my feathered arrows from my quiver; nocking it into my bow, thick and gummy with the poisonous blood of the Araevien Giants at it's tip.
    I slowly released the tension in my back muscles, watching the arrow soar and hit it's target.
    The crowd gasped in confusion.
    Moderator Angel was grabbing at the place where his heart was supposed to be, my feathered arrow's shaft protruded out from between his hands.
    His breathing stopped, and he dropped dead.
    Maybe this wasn't the right guy I just killed, Smighter thought.
    I've been having amnesia ever since I was young…
    ---------------------{|}---------------------
    Lynet
    “Yes?” I said stepping out of the tent.
    “This woman here claims you are a queen." He said, pointing to the assassin.
    “My name is Arria, it means The Golden Hunter.” She said.
    “Arria here has informed me that you are apparently the Queen of The Auras,is this true?” He asked, his voice slightly agitated at the thought of being lied to.
    “Well, you see, ummmm-” He cut her off.
    “Are you or not, it's a simple question.” He said again.
    “I am the Queen of the Auras.” I said.
    ------------------------------------------
    Jerad
    Lynet's body began to change, her body floating upwards, becoming horizontal in the air.
    Light flooded the cavern.
    Lynet's body began slowly descended, and I caught her in my arms, I gasped.
    Lynet had an extravagant crown donning her forehead, and some of the most exquisite red streaks in her hair. When her eyes fluttered open, they swirled a grey color, like a tornado, except it was where her eyes were supposed to be.
    “Arria, are you a…Serpentine” She asked, her voice sounding older and like someone elses.
    It was Arria's turn to change now… Arria's eyes began to glow green, her voice becoming raspy.
    “The Queen will come, in a false identity.
    A Serpentine sent to release her bondages.
    The God of the Sea welcoming her with open arms.
    To Cygnus's Forge they will try to travel.
    A secret map will be found.
    In Crinus's Passage, I will be discovered.
    At Cygnus's Forge, all will be revealed.
    Then Arria passed out.
    ~~~Later that Day~~~

    I awoke on the floor, the Queen beside me, praying.

    “Arria, my name is Jerad. I am the God of The Ocean.” Jerad said, crawling out of the tent with a wet rag in his hands.

    “Jerad, what happened to me?” I asked, struggling to keep my mind from wondering.

    “Arria, you are apparently a Serpentine, if you didn't know. You just delivered a prophecy giving away my secret, and revealing who you really are.” He replied, the slightest hint of anger in his voice.

    Then, I wasn't there anymore, I was in a different part of the passage, riding on the back of a horse, part of a Centurion caravan. I knew they couldn't see me, but I decided to put on my hood just in case.

    I listened as they rode and plotted to kill us.

    Then, I was back at our camp.
    “...Our destinies are tied together.” I heard Lynet say, finishing her prayer.

    “They are here,” I said, some urgency in my voice. “They are coming to kill us! Pack everything, the Centurion will be shortly upon us!”

    The Time Warp
    BIRTHDAY SPECIAL FOR ME! (Originally posted my birthday, the 9th of February)

    Tri-Part Special.
    Enjoy (*•*)

    Past
    Childhood

    “Alex, you want to know why I don't like you?” Majesty asked.
    “This is why, your always copying me and trying to steal attention away from me. Your jealous. Lady Page has even said so. I don't want to go to Paris with you, and I will never let you convince me into going somewhere with you again, I even told Mistress Croft to tell me not to next time.”

    Alex started to cry…

    Jerad hid away in the corner, was saddened by what he'd just heard, and he to, began to cry.
    The ocean roared.

    ~~~
    Later that Day of the Past
    “How could you make him cry on his birthday?” Crinus demanded, raising his voice.
    “Get OUT!” Teja screamed, barely missing Majesty's head with the chair he threw at him.
    “You'll regret this, brother…he asked for the truth and I gave it to him!” Majesty replied walking out the door.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Present
    Jerad

    They attacked before I had a chance to defend, the blade piercing my body, so close to my stomach.
    It was my birthday and the third day we'd been in Crinus's Passage.
    Arria's Serpentine defeated the caravan almost immediately,darts and arrows alike,going everywhere.
    I would turn 26 today, and possibly die 26.
    Verlaergium, Lynet screamed…
    -BLACK OUT-
    The ocean turned a deep red, the color of blood.

    Future
    Hope and Despair

    “Hope,where are you?” Despair called, feeling around in the dark, dank, dungeon.
    “I'm here!” Hope shouted.
    They started to cry, both chained to the walls of the dungeon, both having bad burns on their skin.
    “Use you powers, sister.” Despair shouted back.
    Light filled the dungeon, the temperature rising rapidly, reaching a temperature of nearly 1000° Armanth.
    “Now sister!” Hope said.
    As suddenly as the temperature rose, it dropped, becoming extremely cold, close to
    -1000° Armanth.
    The temperature slowly came back to normal but before it could, the chains broke.
    “Warming and Cooling rapidly makes metal brittle.” Hope and Despair said simultaneously.
    The ocean froze and thawed rapidly, evaporating and coming back down in seconds!
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    And the plot thickens!

    Part Two

    Past
    Childhood: Mere Boy

    “Father, where are you going?” I asked.
    “That's none of your business,Jerad.” he said firmly.
    “Darius, it's ok sweetie, the least we can do is tell him.” my mom said.
    “Constantinople.” my father growled.
    “Don't leave me here mom, please don't!” I begged.
    “We've got to go Ariadne, let's go.” father said.
    I couldn't believe it, my parents were abandoning me without another word.
    Walking out the door…ignoring me…I cried,and cried,and cried.
    I pulled and tore at my moms dress.
    My dad backhanded me,my body now sprawled on the floor.
    Niles, the butler had to restrain me.
    My parents closed the front door to our palace, and that was the last time I ever saw them.

    Niles had taken care of me ever since…
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Present
    Despair
    They beat and raped her,simply for pleasure that night, and threw her body back into the dungeon.
    The only way I knew it was nighttime was because my sister's and I hair colors had changed.
    Hers
    “WHY?!” Despair cried out in a loud voice.
    “Why her?” she said holding her sister's bloody,beaten,body.
    With each dying breath the temperature dropped,and all that was left was Despair…Queen of Cold.
    When you abandon Hope,or it abandons you, all that is left is Despair.
    The only way I knew it was truly nighttime was because the red streaks in my sisters hair had disappeared and turned black, while the black streaks my hair were starting to turn dark blue.
    Her braided her was so... bloody.
    An earsplitting scream resonated off the dungeon walls.
    I quickly grabbed Hope, ran to the entrance of the dungeon, and gently laid Hope down.
    I leaned down my lips almost touching our cells key hole.
    The cell had no bars just a solid piece of rock as a wall and a metal door.
    “Huuuuahhhhh” I breathed on the key hole, ice crystals filling the air.
    I heard the crackling sound of things freezing just beyond the door.
    As I spread my hands across the door, frost emerged everywhere I touched, every ounce of my energy into my hands and breath.
    My sister is Heat, or Warmth, her powers are the direct opposite of mine.
    I'd felt the temperature drop when she died, something I'd never felt before.
    I was immune to cold and and my sister immune to heat. I can't feel when the temperature drops, I can only tell by the frost in the air.
    The air around me is always cold, frigid even…
    Something is not right…, I thought.
    Then it hit me, where was that breeze coming from?
    I looked down and realized what it was, my powers were acting up, somehow I was adopting my sister's abilities, only the thing that was melting the door, was fire that was so cold, it burned.
    The door was melting and freezing at the same time.
    I jumped up off the ground using my leg to kick down the door.
    I grabbed Hope and ran as fast as I could, the pleading eyes of our frozen captors staring as I ran.
    Rounding a corner, I saw a fierce battle between a Serpentine and a small caravan of Centurion.
    I had frozen time, I realized, for it was now that the scream came.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^
    And the plot grows…THICKER!
    Chapter Four: The Time Warp
    Part Three
    *********************************
    Past
    Childhood: Teenager
    I was so into my studies that I didn't realize that someone had walked into my room.
    Before I knew what was happening frost had already covered my entire room, looking up I saw a sight to behold.
    Ice crystals filled the air, making the shapes in the room indiscernible.
    Everything I could just barely make out still had a blue blur to it.
    A dark figure was walking towards me,seeming to be the culprit behind this...
    "Are you the Son of Darius, former God of The Ocean, King of The Sea, and Son of Ariadne, former Goddess of The Flames, Queen of Fire?" the figure mysteriously asked.
    "I am he." I replied confidently, although inwardly I was scared for my life.
    Stepping out of the flurry, or mist, was a beautiful woman whom called herself Despair, and whom I'd come to know as a very special someone.
    "I am in dire need of your assistance!" she said, urgency clearly in her voice.
    "I've only just met you,and you've destroyed my room, why would I help you?" I said, obviously upset.
    "I didn't mean to! It's not my fault, I was born this way, how do you think it feels to not be able to touch anyone? Huh? Exactly, you don't know, even the air hates me, we're like natural enemies,the air around me is colder than it is around you. everything I touch either gets colder, freezes, or forms a frost. I can barely interact with people for fear I might kill them. This blizzard in your room isn't my fault, but since you want to say it is, I'm leaving, even though I broke in." she said angrily.
    "Just remember one thing, when Hope abandons you, all that is left is Despair, you can not escape Fate!" and with that said, she disappeared.
    I had a feeling I would see her again.
    Thorlas
    Pain flows through my body, through every muscle, bone and joint. When I try to move my legs, a sharp pain shoots through the left one, causing me to cry out. It’s definitely broken, and not only in one place. The same pain burns in my left arm when I try to put some weight on it.
    Using my right arm I manage to work off my blood stained shirt. After a few minutes, a makeshift sling is supporting my left arm, alleviating some of the pain.
    A few meters away, I spot a substantial stick resting in the dirt, so I claw my way over to it, pain jolting through my body with each movement. When I finally manage to get my hand on it, its texture disconcerts me. It is smoothly sanded and polished, a rough cylinder in shape. Both ends are jagged, like they’d been broken off something else.
    Looking up, I see where it came from. About twenty meters above my head, a bridge connects two cliffs. Part of the railing is broken, and a jagged gap remains, right in line with where I regained consciousness.
    There are two more pieces of railing nearby so I painstakingly crawl around, collecting them both. With shaky fingers, I fashion a splint for my shattered leg using two of the sticks and some strips of cloth I tore from my pants. Once it’s tied to my leg, I try to get up. Using the remaining stick for support, I manage to get onto my good leg. Excruciating pain racks my body, but I grit my teeth and fight through it, eventually taking an awkward hop-step. After taking another one, I have to pause for a few seconds to rally my strength, but I'm soon moving again, getting into a bit of a rhythm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hours later, the sky turning black, I see lights up ahead.
    A quaint house soon comes into view, the cheery light coming from it's window.
    With the last of my strength, I stumble to the door and collapse on the doorstep.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A few days later I awaken on a comfortable bed under silky white sheets. There is a glass of water on the bedside table, and I quickly down it even though it's lukewarm. My leg is already feeling much better, supported by a much sturdier splint, so I decide to test it out.
    Limping, I make it to the next room, and stop dead in my tracks. Two bodies, an elderly man and woman are face down in pools of their own blood, their throats slit. I stumble back into the bedroom, appalled.
    I bring up my hands to wipe the nervous sweat from my brow, and see something that chills my soul. Tattooed to my right hand are the words,
    “Watch your back always. I know who you are and the things you've done.”
    Unfortunately, I can't even remember my own name.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Cygnus

    When the Ancient Blacksmith had received the word, he had been mortified.

    "A group of young ones will change the course of time, and you will provide to them the equipment they need." The Messenger said, nonchalantly.

    "No! I will not go near that hammer again! You and I know well that that is no ordinary tool!! That thing ruined me!" Cygnus replied.

    "YOU WILL DO AS FATE COMMANDS!" The Messenger shouted.

    Cygnus refused, and the Messenger left. As he turned to face his long-forgotten anvil, his face contorted with rage.

    Then, the Haventry Body and Arms where remade.

    All of Cygnus's anger and hatred going into it, all that was needed to complete them was...
    The Blessing of Hope.

    And the world trembled with every strike of the hammer.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Angel
    Anything in italics is in Angels language.
    A girl screamed. The sound came flooding into Angels ears. His head snapped to attention, unlike moments before, as he was asleep. He looked around. It was dark.The city of Venice in front of him and a canal behind, with a small stone wall separating him and the canal. He had been sleeping propped up against that wall.
    The scream came again. He had to do something. He got up and sprinted through the empty streets toward the noise. A little too empty...
    One final scream that was cut short led him to the area of its origin. He found the area in a rather wide back ally. In it was a few garbage cans, an either dead or dying girl lying in a pool of blood, and a man with a scar from his right forehead to his left jawbone and weird green and blue armor on, standing over her.
    "Stop!" Angel said.
    "Well, what a surprise to see someone else here. Its always nice to have guests," said the man, rather sarcastically. "Would you like some tea?"
    "You...You killed her!"
    "Oh, no. She's not dead. Not yet anyway." he said, a maniacal laughter coming forth from his lips.
    "What do you mean?" Angel inquired.
    "That's not important right now."
    "What's more important than her?"
    "You."
    "Me?"
    "Yes."
    "What about me?"
    "Why are you here and who you are."
    "I'm here to save her and to stop you! Nothing else matters right now!"
    "I do not wish to hurt you. I have interest in but one person."
    "I think you'll find it harder to hurt me than you think!" Angel said, through gritted teeth.
    "We shall see." The man then began to transport from place to place hitting Angel at every stop.
    "Natiska." Angel said.
    He could have thought it or even just willed it, but he preferred to say it.
    Instantly several clones of Angel appeared, each with one of his specific skills. They formed a phalanx and fought off the attacker until Angel could catch on to his pattern. Left, right, right, left, right, left, left... He stuck out his arm where he predicted the next move would be.
    "Gyaaahh!!" the man screamed and flickered as Angel moved his arm around inside of him. He disappeared. Only to reappear a meter or so away... Agile Angel quickly grabbed him by the throat, pinning him against a wall.
    Brawn Angel put binders on him. Binders locked the hands together but more importantly restricted use of power. They sat him against a wall. The clones combined back into Angel.
    "That's strange..." the teleporter said.
    "What is? Who are you?" questioned Angel.
    "I thought Angel was the only cloner left. Yet here you are. I guess I was wrong."
    "I am Angel. Why were you looking for me?"
    "Ahh oh.. I asked but you didn't give me a name."
    "Given. I think you are forgetting something."
    "Am I?"
    "Who are you and why were you looking for me?"
    "I am Kaedus, and I bring a message for you."
    "There's better ways to get my attention than killing people."
    "Like I said, She's not dead. Or hurt. Or real. Just an illusion."
    "OK.. And the message?"
    "There will be a time when you are outnumbered, outgunned, and outsmarted. In that time, use this."
    "A sword?"
    "Well, yes. But no ordinary sword. It channels your power of bending light to make clones of you, and make them solid. It truly is a one and only."
    Angel took the sword. It was light. Ironic. It had a red handle with silver stripes all over it at right angles,like a chain-link fence type design. The blade was silver in color. Unknown in make. In the blade was carved the words:
    Kanisika ta nish, va tal unil, meshik la berk Which means:
    If I charge, follow me. If I fall, avenge me. And if I retreat, kill me.
    "It's the sword of an Araevier Giant." Angel said, surprised.
    "Indeed it is."
    Angel strapped it to his side. The man flickered and disappeared. All that remained was a strip of black cloth with an emblem of red on it. Angel recognized it as the mark of the Order. He picked it up. After looking it over, he tied it around his head.
    "Quite a night." he said to himself.
    Off he went back to his canal. Off to sleep.
    Arria
    Slowly, silently, I strung my bow. My father's watchful eyes studied my every move. It made me feel edgy.
    "Must you stare like that?" I snarled.
    "Yes." was his short simple answer. So typical of him.
    I could see my target through the open window of the building next to me. Heck, from my perch on this building, I could just about see the whole city, though few could see me. It made for an easy job with good pay.
    Made harder by the fact that my father didn't trust me. "Account for the wind," he told me.
    I rolled my eyes, but did nothing else. I had already done that.
    19 years old, and I still wasn't aloud to take down a target without his constant badgering.
    "I said, "Account for the wind," he repeated. If he could have raised his voice then, he would have, but he didn't. We had to keep quiet, otherwise we'd compromise the mission.
    "Already done, Dad." I said.
    "Of course it is. If you want your arrow to slice up the curtain."
    "It's fine, Dad." I said, struggling with my anger.
    "No, it's not. 5 degrees to the left."
    In a moment of anger and irritation, I turned to look at him. "Why don't you do it then?" I snapped.
    Unfortunately, the sudden movement of my turning caused the string to slip out of my hand. No, the arrow didn't hit the bedroom curtain. It hit my target. Though not in the most ideal place.
    He woke up howling as he tried to get the arrow out of his hand. I ducked, hoping I hadn't been seen. My father ripped the bow from my hands and grabbed an arrow. He penetrated the man's heart.
    Roughly, he grabbed my arm and led me to the other side of the building, where we descended using the rope ladder we climbed up earlier. As soon as I was down, my father lit a match and set the rope on fire. Then we ran in different directions.
    Our rendezvous was just outside the city, by a hollow tree in which we kept our weapons. When I emerged from the bushes, my father greeted me with an unwelcoming glare. I walked to the tree to put my knife away, but he snatched it from me and pocketed it instead.
    "You nearly cost us the mission." He yelled quietly. Yes, he yelled quietly. He has ways of doing that. It's quite creepy, actually.
    "It was your fault. If you had just let me shoot the arrow instead of correcting my every move, he wouldn't have felt a thing."
    "You should learn to control yourself."
    "You should have trusted me to do it without your help."
    "I didn't trust you because I knew something like this would happen!"
    "Well maybe next time-"
    "Next time? Ha! There won't be a next time! Your-" He stopped short, cocking his head as if listening hard.
    "This way, I hear something," an unfamiliar voice said. The guards were tracking us.
    In the pale moonlight, I saw my father signal to me. I shook my head, but I knew he would argue with me. He took off in the direction of the guards, and I had no choice but to run in the other direction.
    That was the last night I ever saw him. The next morning, I found out that he had been captured. I never did find out where he was, or if he had been given a death sentence or not...
    Chapter Five
    The Revealing
    In the Forges
    The heat of a fire causes a haze.
    Now imagine a haze and how it moves.
    Now try and imagine a haze actually shimmering, although it looks like it's already shimmering.
    That's how it looked before they appeared.
    It was a group of people.
    Four women, one had eyes glowing green, another with a teenage looking female in her arms both with silver hair and a different color streak in it, the last with a crown on her head.
    And a man, who I hadn't seen since he was a baby, he was on the ground and bleeding.
    The wound was deep, and in his belly, possibly penetrating his stomach…
    Who knows, I'm not a doctor, and he wasn't very close to me.
    “Arilo Drega, ΩΕΣΑΔ evla pragu.” Cygnus whispered in his native language.
    “Dear God, Jerad is dead.” Crinus translated.
    “HELP US!” Lynet pleaded.
    Crinus slowly walked up to them, bending down next to Jerad, he unlatched a pouch on his belt.
    Reaching into it he brought out a small glass flask.
    He handled it with extreme care, knowing the fragility of the flask, and the importance of it's contents.
    “Water from Coral Wells…” Cygnus said in awe, to scared he would break it if he touched it, he took a step back, giving Crinus some space.
    The water swirled Dark Blues and Greens.
    Crinus gently opened the flask,and slowly poured a tiny drop into Jerad's mouth.
    It started out as a small gurgle, but soon all you could hear was the roar.
    Water rushing through Jerad's body, sealing the wounds.
    Sitting up Jerad began to cough and sputter.
    His eyes fluttered open.
    “Despair!” he gasped.
    “Jerad!” The women with curly silver hair with Dark Blue streaks in it said, gently laying down the teenager.
    Her eyes slowly began turning black. The room temperature dropped by about 30° Aramanth.
    “Stop! Do not cool the flames of the forges!” Cygnus screamed, grabbing Despair's arm.
    Frost began climbing up his arm.
    “I can't move, help me!” he pleaded to Lynet.
    Lynet, still in a state of shock, just simply stared at Cygnus.
    “Why are your eyes red?” she asked him calmly.
    “Because of the flames.” he said, his red eyes pleading. The frost was climbing from his neck to his mouth.
    Lynet's eyes began to swirl a dark grey, with small minuscule yellow lines appearing every so often, like a thunderstorm.
    She slowly started to lift off of the ground…
    A loud boom rang throughout the forge.
    A streak of lightning, it's spidery tentacles reaching across the sky.
    Lightning is hotter than the sun, Lynet thought. It's a wonder every time lightning strikes it doesn't singe our eyebrows or set our hair afire.
    The fire of the forge crackled, and the thaw was immediate.
    Crinus stood up just as Lynet reached the ground.
    “Now let's see about this poor girl.” he said.
    He got on his knees beside the teen and put his index and middle finger, together, on her neck.
    “She's dead.” he announced.
    “We must cremate her.” Despair said. “I'm sure that's what Hope would want.”
    Cygnus now fully unthawed bent down and lifted her body and brought her over to the furnace.
    He gradually put all of her body into the flames.
    “We'll collect the ashes later.” he said.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Later that Day

    Something was wrong.
    When Cygnus went back to collect the ashes there were none.
    Something was amiss.
    An orange mist-like, fog, was swirling around at the ceiling of the furnace.
    Sudden this mist came rushing towards him.
    Stopping, near his face, it began moving, forming what seemed to be a female face.
    Staring into it's eyes, Cygnus slowly stepped backwards.
    “What are you?” Cygnus whispered.
    “I am Hope…stand back.” she replied.
    Cygnus stepped back.
    “What are you gonna d-” the sentence was never finished…
    -----------------{|}-----------------
    Within The Stadium

    Smighter was never found that day. Someone else was found…Angel.
    Sitting in the lunchroom was him, several "hims" in fact.
    Angel would be dealt with later, the State of the Realm speech still had to be given.
    “Citizens of The Realm,“ Star began. “Last year was a year of outrageous and astounding events. The Queen of the Auras disappeared,or went missing. The Centurion began conquering again.
    This year is starting out to be even more eventful, though.
    The Araeviers recently moved their camp to the outskirts of Cairo, what this means I don't know what this means for us, but be prepared for changes around the world…” Star paused, thinking hard about what he was about to say next.
    “A whisper campaign has started in the land of Fan Fiction.
    The Role-Player's are beginning to agitate the Writer's… war may be on the way.
    Oh, I forgot to mention, the Queen of The Auras isn't dead, for if she was, the crown would've transferred.” he said ecstatically.
    “Last but not least, we have someone to show you.” Star said,turning to Zaln.
    “I give you…” Zaln said, pausing for effect. “Angel!”
    Angel walked out from the main building.
    “Show them what you can do.” Delphin whispered.
    Morpheus Natiska” Angel shouted.
    Angel's body began shimmering and several Angel's appeared, all now wearing a different outfit.
    Tied around their heads were a black strip of cloth, with a red symbol on it.
    “The mark of the Ancients.” Star whispered, and his eyes began to turn grey, just as Lynet's had.
    The wind picked up.
    Lightning flashed.
    And thunder boomed.
    -----------------{|}-----------------
    The Necromancess

    Alexandria walked slowly down the corridor.
    What an interesting display of powers, Alexandria thought.
    She'd never seen such a display of raw power except from herself and her family.
    She was a Claymore Necromancess.
    The Claymore blood-line is one of the purest in the Realm.
    Stepping out onto the Stadium floor she would put on her own show.
    “Degrada Ferminotous” She said.
    The ground simultaneously split open the bodies of the dead pouring out.
    Lightning streaked across the sky.
    The clones charged at the undead.
    The Stadium was in uproar.
    People in the stands began to take their swords out of their sheaths and scabbards, Mages whispering incantations, and spies melting into the shadows.
    Suddenly, lightning began to arc down from the sky setting the ground on fire.
    Black fire appeared in Alexandria's hands.
    “I am...The Claymore Necromancess!” she announced. “My family has been persecuted for our abilities, but I say do not fear us we are just like you.” she finished, shooting black fire into the storm, creating black lightning.
    “Except for the fact that you raise the dead!” Star shouted back.
    “I may raise the dead but look at what your doing.” Alexandria said angrily.
    The wind settled down some, the lightning become less and less, the thunder growing silent.
    The storm was over.
    "I can control my powers, can you?" Star asked.
    The army of the dead turned to sand.
    "Very well, I can." Alexandria replied.
    "What about yo-"
    Angel's clones merges back into him.
    "Of course I can." Angel said.
    Star's feet touched the ground.
    A man appeared before them, grabbing the little group.
    "It's time." he said.
    "Ka-" was all Angel managed to say before he blacked out.
    The Great Turmoil, as it would be known later, was over, but Star, Alexandria, and Angel were gone.

    Chapter Five
    Part Two

    Matt and The Pyros
    “Rally the Pyros, it’s time we visit Cygnus.” KING Matt commanded.
    “Yes sir.” A servant said.
    ----------------[|}-------------------
    Drift
    “She’s alive” Cygnus said.
    "Cygnus, Matt is on his way with the Pyros." Crinus said, looking up at Hope.
    Hope's body slowly descended, her body so very fragile, so very new.
    Then right when she was about to touch the ground, she began to float back into the air, taking the mist form she had with Cygnus earlier.
    "She's going to find him..." Arria said.
    “Hope,don't leave, I need your blessing to complete the Haventry Armor!” Cygnus shouted over the now present wind.
    “I give you my blessing.” Hope shouted back, the Haventry Armor beginning to glow red.
    Everyone knew what was happening, Hope’s body couldn’t find the heat it normally needed to survive, her body having to relearn how to warm itself, so she was going to find the nearest one that could sustain her, King Matt.
    ------------------------{|}---------------------------
    Battle Ground
    The Stranger pulled out a map of the battle field.
    “Kaedus, how did you find me?” Angel asked.
    “I am everywhere, and I wasn’t looking for you, I was looking for all of you.” He replied.
    Stretching the parchment all the way, he started pointing to different things on the map.
    “Here,” he said, pointing to a river. “Is where Jerad;who by the way, is the God of the Ocean; Althalos, and the Naiads will come in. Now do you see these rocks, Alexandria?” He asked.
    “Yes.” She said, yawning.
    “This is where you’ll unleash the dead. As our troops die you shall revive them. Now, here,” he said, turning to Star. “Is where you and Lynet, Queen of The Auras, will unleash the a powerful storm, which Alexandria will shoot black fire into, to combine with both you and her powers to create powerful, black lightning. Angel, you will create several clones and come from behind the enemy.” He said, finishing.
    “Kaedus, who exactly are we fighting?” Star asked.
    “Why, the Role-Player’s of course. They’re in cahoots with The Centurion, who are in fact after Lynet, which is why she went missing-of course she’s not really missing, just hiding.” He finished.
    “The Centurion want to take over Fan Fiction, don’t they?” Alexandria asked, now interested.
    “Yes, they want it for its rich deposits of gold and silver. Which is why The Araevian Giants moved their camp to the outskirts of Cairo: to protect it. As you know, Cairo is the capital of Fan Fiction.” He said.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The Second Wave
    The silence in the clearing was deafening. Scary, even.
    The horses of the Pyros; Changoreis; fiery hoof prints left a trail of charred grass and glass-like sand.
    A woman around the age of twenty-one stood there, right in the middle of the clearing. She gazed around in shock, her hazel eyes still widened in surprise. Her silver hair covered in blood, and the markings on her face barely recognizable. She shakily got into battle position, but relaxed as she saw a crown. A man around twenty walked toward her in the clearing, his normally pristine clothes and hair, covered in blood.
    “Who are ye?” The Stranger asked.
    “I am Hope, who are you?” Hope replied.
    “I am Matt, of Phi Lacus, King of the Croluxian Kingdom, God of Fire.” Matt replied, his horse making that funny sound all horses make.
    “Can you do this?” Hope replied, the trees next to her slowly turning brown and setting on fire.
    “How do you do that,” Matt asked, “Without fire?”
    The question was never answered, because right then, the next wave of Centurion came, leaded by, Arlaic. Spammer and his spawn ran gracefully behind them, on his back rode no other than the Queen Spammer herself, Queen Amber.
    How did wind start blowing in Cygnus’s Forge?
    Hint: it has something to do with heat and it rising.
    Chapter 6: Part One
    Cairo, Fan Fiction
    Cygnus had finished the weapons finally, and Jerad was now back to normal.
    As soon as everything was ready, those of us at the forge packed up and started our journey to Cairo.
    “The two groups MUST be divided to restore order.“ Star said angrily, banging his fist on the table they sat at in The War Room. “They will pay for making me ride a horse for this long! My bottom is so sore...”
    Suddenly a crack appeared on the table.
    “He's definitely the one...I made this table, it is unbreakable, yet, he's cracked it!” Cygnus whispered, astonishment all over his face.
    “Gather the people, we're gonna rally these troops!” Jerad shouted, adrenaline coursing through his veins.
    ~~~~
    Outside, Star began to talk:
    “...We must chase those idiot spammers back to where they belong! Take Fan Fiction from the RolePlayers who ruined this place! Restore order to this sacred section of KaW!

    Take back Fan Fiction!!!” He said enthusiastically.

    Cheers rang from the stadium, battle cries of the Edamynites, the scratching of the FanFic Quills, the sound of rushing water from Althalos and his children, the rustling of leaves from Augustus and the Dryads of BlackWood, the stomps of the Araeviers, the shouts of the warriors, spies, and mages, and then, silence.
    The crowd began to part,a dark figure moving through the ranks of men,women,writers,editors,Araevians,and nature spirits,everyone bowing down.
    “King Teja has arrived…” Crinus whispered.
    ~~~~~
    Angel glanced at Thorlas, who was huge.
    His staff was taller or longer than the Imperial Building of Dekira.
    Morgur Artidrà wouldn't stand a chance.
    The battle was about to begin.
    We could hear the sound of marching feet, hoofbeats, and flapping wings.
    Chapter VI: Part II
    Angel
    I stared at the once beautiful city of Cairo – Capital of Fan Fiction.
    Ashes fell from the sky, something I like to call, ‘Black Snow’.
    A tear rolled down my cheek, filled with sorrow.
    All hope for my country – gone – all faith in my people – gone.
    Deep, melancholy-like music could be heard in the distance.
    Fear gleamed in everyone’s eyes.
    Then light began to flood the desert, new hope in everyone’s hearts with the coming sunrise.
    ~~~
    Sunshine broke through the clouds.
    The ground was moist; dew covered the grass; fog in the air; ash in my lungs.
    Time seemed to come to a complete stop, the faint sound of marching in the background.
    The serenity of the moment was pierced by a scream so loud, I’m sure it could be heard in Phi Lacus.
    Cairo was in uproar.
    “Art thy ready?” Thorlas asked me.
    “Yes, but Thorlas, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your full name?” I asked.
    “Thorlas Esposito Imperiosus, it means: Thorlas the Orphan, the Powerful. I usually leave out Esposito, though.
    “I wish we could get inside the city walls, the people are…they’re revolting. The Capital building was overrun yesterday. Despair is trying to use her gift to break through the wall, but, years ago spells were put in place specifically to block out the effects of the elemental users.” He said.
    ~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~
    Jerad
    The journey with Alexandria lasted little more than two hours, although it felt like longer. Centega’s walls loomed before us.
    Then, they collapsed, right to the ground.
    When the citizens saw Alexandria, they lashed out, calling her
    Witch. Then when they saw me…saw the malice in my smile, they collapsed, all the water sucked right out of them.
    Centega
    Earthquakes ravaged the empire, and the Capital for days, nonstop, tsunamis too.
    People cried out saying ‘Why has God abandoned us?’ and ‘What is the cause of this?’, oblivious to the evil endeavors of The Centurion, the empires army.
    I stared at the ocean, my lips curving into a sneer.
    “You will never escape,” he cooed. “I’m in control now!”
    “LET ME OUT!” I screamed at myself, the water distorting my voice.
    “Jasper is in control now.” he whispered to back to me.
    “All those innocent people…you’re a murderer!” I screamed at Jasper.
    “You don’t even know who I am, do you?” Jasper asked me. “I’m your alter ego, we’re like the Gemini twins or just Gemini, the next time I see our reflection, you can try to escape, and then I blacked out…
    The Dodeca Tribes of Lyrgor
    UniTribe – The First Tribe of Lyrgor, located in Istanbul, commonly called, the Chorona
    Jasmine, Leader of the Chorona
    “Jasmine, Kaedus is here.” Alliyah said.
    “Tell him I said, ‘I’ll be there shortly’.” I told her, pinning my hair up.
    She quickly bowed and exited the palace room.
    I looked closely at myself in the mirror.
    My long hair just wouldn’t stay up.
    I sighed.
    Maybe I’ll wear it down today, I thought.
    I walked down the stairs, my heels already killing me.
    I stared at Kaedus, it was like meeting him all over again; the brown eyes, the trademark dark coffee skin of his tribe, the Illostrocity, arm muscles so big they've ripped his shortsleeve shirt; making his body so hard to resist.
    “Good Morning, Jasmine. I can't stay long so I'll make this quick. There’s a war between the Centurion and the most of Lyrgor going on as we speak. I need you to gather the Tribes, all twelve of them, and tell them about the war, I could really use them.
    “Recently my Tribe was attacked, several people died, and Hope is gone. Cygnus says that ‘She left for King Matt.’, so that leaves us with Despair.
    “Tell Romulus, his daughter is as good as dead.” Kaedus said, writing furiously on a piece of parchment, describing the battles he’d seen, and how he needed the other Eleven to help defend Lyrgor and the Far East.
    “Kae –” I tried to speak.
    “Here, this’ll help you to remember.” He said, handing me the paper, and with that, he teleported out of the Palace.
    I was furious, he hadn’t even looked at me; hadn’t complimented me on my dress, or anything for that matter; he didn’t glance at anything but my face.
    I wish there was some way I could express my love…
    Call an emergency meeting of Tribahleders.
    Make sure to separate Aubrie and Delphin, who knows what could happen with the Pheromons always trying to seduce the Testosterons...and then killing them.
    Check Aubrie for knives!
    Best wishes,
    Kaedus
    Chapter 7
    The Romanctics
    This Chapter is dedicated to the girls, and the greatest lovers of all time.
    Cleopatra and Mark Antony
    Romeo and Juliet
    Count Fersen and Marie Antoinette
    Paris and Helen
    Pocahontas and John Smith
    Tristan and Isolde
    Adam and Eve
    Every war has a secret romance…
    Delphin
    I’m Delphin, Tribahleder of the Lyrgorian Tribe of Testosteron.
    The Testosteron is a tribe of men who have super increased testosterone levels. Since I am their leader, my testosterone levels are even higher!
    There’s only one tribe like us: The Pheromons (an all women tribe).
    Gifted with increased pheromones, they’re deadly to my tribe.
    Their tribe leader or Tribahleder, is known as Aubrie, my most formidable enemy.
    Dangerous, though cool, Aubrie Pheromon is not to be played with.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    I slowly walked through the ring, the fire rolling right off me, acting as if it was a liquid.
    I stared at Jasmine, horny thoughts going through me like always.
    Hmmm, I thought. Jasmine’s got it going on, I wonder what size she is? Definitely a ‘D’ although, she looks more like a double ‘D’. I wonder if she’s interested in me... her hips are just the right thickness, too. She must give off more pheromones than Aubrie!
    “Hello, Jasmine.” I leaned down, brushing a kiss on her cheek.
    “Delphin, have you forgotten to take your pills today, you seem a little too… excited. You seem to have also forgotten that when I touch a person, I can get into their mind. I’m a double ‘D’ by the way, and thanks for the compliments.” she said, giving him a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
    “I thought you like guys like that, always ready.” I replied evenly.
    “Go take a seat!” she said, her tone sexy, although harsh.
    “Tribahleders, may I have your attention, please.” Jasmine said. “I bring news from the Illustrocity. A war recently started between the Great Empire of Centega and Fan Fic, located right outside Tibet, although The Centurion haven’t attacked Brian’s tribe, they have attacked Kaedus’s which is why he isn’t here tonight. The purpose of this emergency meeting is to let the rest of the Tribes know. Kaedus gave me a letter to help us better understand what’s happening.”
    Jasmine unfolded a small piece of paper, her eyes turning black, index finger tracing what was written, all the while speaking the words aloud, her voice sounding exactly like Kaedus.
    March 27, 2011
    Dear Tribes,
    They attacked a little after midnight, leaving the Illustrocity no time to prepare. Tribahleders, I’m giving you a warning now, The Centurion are not to be played with. They’re evil and ruthless. To beat them you must lower your morals; sink to their level. All night we fought. Trying to keep them from…
    Her voice cracked right there, tears were streaming down her face.
    From taking the children… but in the end they prevailed, General Caesar holding up high – a baby, no older than three months. He slit her throat, and threw her in the river, making it run red. The women of my tribe were grief-stricken. I quickly stabbed him in the back, my sword running right through him, body going limp.
    “*****,” I, Kaedus, screamed at him. “Rot in hell.”
    I then threw him in the river, sure that I would be punished later by the Ocean God, but not caring. From that point on our main priority was to protect the nursery, which we did successfully.
    What’s crazy though is how red their eyes were, like fire and blood mixed.
    In the end we won, though, drove them all the way back to New Delhi where they surrendered.
    I believe we’ll have to reveal our existence to Neuro, Fan Fic is one of their territories by the way, so it’s weird that they would attack us. Probably because of the fact that we’re so close to the border. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, should we join this war?
    If we do have to break the news to Neuro, I think Zaln and Delphin should, seeing as they’re members of Neuro’s Board and all.
    Stay Safe,
    Kaedus
    Her eyes went white at that moment and I immediately ran to catch her when she collapsed.
    All I could think about at that moment was how beautiful she was, and how I failed to recognize my subconscious love for her.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~
    Alexandria, Egypt
    We’ve sought refuge in Alexandria, since we can’t enter Cairo.
    Lynet
    I lay there in bed, Jerad’s arms at my waist.
    It felt as if the tides were coming and going inside my body.
    I felt, almost...addicted.
    It’s like the old adage, ‘You can’t part with the ocean, it parts with you.’
    His bed smelled strongly of sea breeze. I loved it – the feel of his coffee colored skin on mine, his touch sending a warm tingle through me.
    Entangling my hands in his beautiful, dirty blonde – almost brown – hair, gazing into those deep green eyes, I placed a kiss on his lips.
    Wait a second, I thought. Jerad has blue eyes, I think? Hmmm, I’ll worry about that later. I just want to enjoy this moment while I can.
    A deep guttural moan escaped his throat.
    Then...well, I don't remember...
    ~~~~~~
    In the morning I awoke to find Jerad staring very intently at me.
    “Good morning, Lynet. That was pretty wild last night, right?!” Jerad said enthusiastically, his green eyes like two jade pools, pulling me in deeper.
    “I guess…” I said, halfheartedly.
    “What’s wrong?” he asked, voice soothing, erasing my doubts about his eyes.
    “What color are you eyes?” I asked, looking away.
    “Green,” He said, more than confident.
    “Aren’t they supposed to be blue?” I asked.
    “They’ve always been green, Lynet. You sure you’re feeling okay?” He asked, pulling me to him, brushing his hair to the side to look at me.
    “I’m just…tired.” I said, faking a yawn.
    “Well, I’d probably be too, though, I don’t need sleep so…” He trailed off.
    I exited the Temple of the Sea God, where Jerad was currently residing, walking briskly to the Royal Library, seeking out Star.
    ~~~
    Later that day, I met up – finally – with Star. I needed some answers.
    “Where were you born?” I asked Star.
    “In the Aurarion City of Los Angeles,” He replied.
    “Me too,”
    “Figures, since that’s where most royals come from.”
    “How’d you get your powers?”
    “I was born with them, though they developed more towards my teenage years.”
    “Interesting, I thought only royals had them.” I said, amazed. “Walk with me?”
    “Of course.” He said.
    We grabbed scrolls off the shelves as we walked, talking as we went.
    We asked questions like:
    I heard about you and Alexandria’s encounter in the stadium, what did black lightning feel like?
    I’ve got wings, do you?
    And so on.
    Then, things got heady.
    “You have amazing beauty, you know?” Star stopped, studying me over.
    “Thank you.” I said, sure my cheeks were bright red.
    I turned to face him, back against the west wall of the Royal Library.
    He approached me slowly; light filtering in from a window above.
    He stood over me, slipping his hand under my thigh and wrapping it around him.
    “Kiss me.” I said.
    “Gladly.” He replied, lifting my chin, and putting his lips on mine.
    I’ve never experienced a kiss like that, my hair frizzling, electricity – literally – sparking around us.
    I tugged at his hair, pulling him closer, digging my nails into his back...

    Shaolin Temples, relocated to Tibet

    Meditation time is one of my favorite times of the day.
    Today, it was interrupted.
    I assumed the lotus position, like normal.
    I closed my eyes, waiting for the wind to starting blowing, the floating sensation I always got.
    It never came; the wind, the sensation.
    I opened my eyes, getting out of the lotus position and standing up.
    I walked in a circle, letting the trees tell me what was happening.
    A man with a khanda in each hand has entered the premises.
    Take him down as quickly as you can, if he escapes thee, then, call the snakes! By the way, what’s a Khanda? I asked.
    A type of sword used by the Rajput Warriors of India, North of Mumbai, West of New Dheli.
    It’s serrated on the under side, and was created by Cygnus.

    That ended my talk with nature.
    I put on my mask, grabbed my scepter, and entered Pagoda Forest.
    I could hear the cries of fallen dryads, feel their pain.
    I was one with nature, a part of Gaea’s thoughts.
    Cautiously, I stepped into a clearing, looking for any signs of battle.
    Suddenly, a man with black eyes stepped out of the trees fighting off the largest King Cobra I’d ever seen.
    I am Caleb, Ssssson of Augussssstusss and Son of Venusssss, King of the Cobrasssss. You may enter me, the snake said.
    I planted my feet flat on the ground, letting the transformation take place, roots of an invisible tree starting to grow up my legs, soon covering my entire body, except my mask.
    I was now inside his head, my body rigid, and unseen, except for my mask.
    Although it was his head and body, I was now in semi-control. I would be his mind, he would be in control of his body. We were a team.
    I’m pretty sure it all seemed weird to the man, who probably saw only a mask with a green light flowing from the eye holes, and gnarled, brown roots surrounding me like a cocoon.
    “You should run,” Caleb and I said. “I am to be feared, me and him both!”
    We conversed in our thoughts, attacking the intruder with the fierceness – well – of a snake!
    Blood dripped from our fangs, coming back from the bite we had administered to this stranger.
    “Stop!” He croaked out.
    “Why should we?” We asked.
    “No reason but this!” He replied, slamming his khandas together and bringing them down on us.
    “Oh SssssssssHIT!” We shouted, blood spilling out of our heads. “SsssssON OF A SssssKANK!”
    “My name is Sam, and I’m actually Son of Augustus and Son of Angela.”
    “OH SsssssssssHIT…AGAIN!” we said. “Feline against Reptile, this’ll be a rough fight!”
    Sam’s body began to morph and convulse, his canines getting longer and wider. His fingernails and toenails turned black and grew longer and sharper seeming to gleam in the sun.
    Fur grew rapidly on his body, and his pupils turned to slits.
    His body grew to the size of Caleb’s which is about the size of two trains combined.
    I have no idea why I didn’t see Caleb before he entered the clearing, except for the fact that the trees in Pagoda Forest are taller than mountains.
    “I’m the real one to be feared!” He spat.
    Then we tangoed, circling each other, assessing each other’s strengths and weaknesses, while I continued to stand, giving Caleb my strength.
    We lunged at him, wrapping our tail around him, sinking our fangs into his neck.
    He clawed at our scaled, sinking his own teeth into our tail.
    All three of us screeched.
    “Why are you here?” We hissed.
    “I’ve come for my woman.” He hissed back.
    “Kayla?” We said.
    “Of course, idiots!” He replied.
    “She’s mine!” I yelled, now demerged from Caleb, the roots slithering off me.
    “You sure about that?” He said, sending me mental images of them together.
    “What the hell, how dare you touch her!”
    “I think the question is, how dare YOU touch her!”
    “Why don’t we be reassssssonable about thissssss!” Caleb hissed at us.
    “Oh, shut up!” Sam and I said simultaneously.
    “I’m just trying to help!” Caleb replied.
    Caleb left after that…
    “Let’s go find Kayla!” I said after that.
    Suddenly, a bush started rattling and a small dog stepped out.
    Followed by a woman I didn’t recognize.
    I stabbed her immediately, not taking any chances.
    “Bri – an…” Kayla cried out, blood-filled tears streaming down her face.
    “Kayla, I’m so sorry, I didn’t recognize you!” I said, pulling her to me.
    I watched as her life force faded, closing her eyelids.
    “She’s gone!” I screeched, every tree within a 200 km radius bowing down to me as a sign of sympathy.
    “We will meet again on the battle field, Brian.” Is the last thing Sam said to me before he walked into the Pagoda Forest.

    Part Two: Partial Vengeance, Full Revenge

    …most end in death.
    -Jasper

    Jasper
    “Soooo, that’s how he wants to play!” I said aloud. “I will drown him! DROWN HIM!”
    I stood, gazing at them kissing, revenge coursing through my veins.
    “We’ll see how she likes it when I get down with Despair…”
    Then I saw my reflection.
    ----------------------
    Jerad

    I was free!
    As long as I don’t look at my reflection, I’ll be okay.
    I was so happy.
    Then, I broke down and cried, memories of Jasper’s conquests and endeavors flooding my brain.
    “Jasper won’t have to hook up with Despair, I’ll do it myself.” I said aloud.
    I slowly walked back to a Temple dedicated to me: The Temple of the Sea God, one where I had apparently engaged in sexual activities with Lynet.
    I climbed the stone steps, seeking Ptolemy’s Robe.
    Ptolemy’s Robe belonged to my great-grandfather: Ptolemy.
    I always referred to him as Grandpa.
    Anyway, Grandpa’s robe enhances the abilities of the wearer.
    I gazed at the statue of my father, and all of my father’s fathers. The Ocean God always looks the same.
    The statue was made of the purest and rarest white marble. It was wearing a dark green cape, black sandals, a blue muscle shirt, and some swimming trunks.
    “I am Jerad,” I whispered. “I’ve come to collect some of the sea relics.”
    “You may collect all that is needed, nothing more.” The voice of my ancestors responded.
    I walked around to the back of the statue, watching as the stone cape slid aside allowing me entrance to the Sea Relics.
    Inside, it kind of looked liked a limestone cave, with saltwater dripping from the ceiling, everything emanating a soft golden white light. The walls of this tunnel/cave were a dark blue, and as I walked farther into this ‘cavern’ I noticed it seemed to soften.
    I immediately gravitated to the left, seeking Grandpa’s robe. I found it almost an hour later. I’d looked through at least a third of the cave’s treasures to find it.
    Along the way I discovered some very notable items, which I wrote down:
    • a Trident filled with water from the Coral Wells
    • Frostbite’s Helm
    • another copy of King Teja’s Guide Book (I’ll talk about Teja later)
    • Gabriel’s Map
    • Ptolemy’s Robe
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A few days ago – before Jasper took control – I met up with King Teja to discuss this…book of his.
    But instead of discussing it like I’d planned, he wrote down a few page numbers for me to read!
    So I complied, reading aloud:
    “Page Three hundred forty-one or Page 341,” was how I began. “The Topic is on some place called…Lyrgor. Lyrgor is a giant REGION – interesting Teja, how you underlined region – which has inside it several more regions. These regions include Tibet, the Middle East, the Indus Valley, Siberia, the Palestine, Northwest Russia, Northeast Africa, Greece, and Italy.
    Lyrgor is currently in four countries…” I paused and took a deep breath before continuing.
    “These countries are Neuro, Centega, Edamynoe, and Dragosia. Neuro controls most of Lyrgor.
    The Dodeca Tribes of Lyrgor, or Twelve Tribes of Lyrgor, are located throughout Lyrgor.
    In each major city of Lyrgor lurks a tribe. Each tribe has a specific power, for example:
    The Testosterons, the Ninth Tribe of Lyrgor, is an all male tribe with the gift of increased testosterone. Their Tribahleder (Tribal Leader or Tribe Leader) has even higher levels.
    The Illustrocitys, the Second Tribe of Lyrgor, is a tribe with more artistic talents such as singing, drawing, painting, writing, composing, dancing, and the general performing arts. Their Tribahleder is the best at all those things.
    Every tribe is special in its own way.” I finished, looking up at King Teja.
    There was a twinkle in his eye.
    “You’ll never guess who the leader of the Testosterons is!” He’d said, smiling.
    “Who,” I’d replied, curiosity getting the best of me.
    “Oh, I’m not going to tell you! In due time, you’ll find out.” And with that he walked away leaving me to finish reading the other pages.
    They were about the territories of the four countries.
    ~~~~~~~
    He didn’t tell me there were more copies!
    I exited the cave, pocketing the items I’d written down, all except for the robe, which was made of some sort of soft, black, cottony material.
    I headed to my room and placed the items and the robe on my bed, then walked out, heading for the exit to the temple.
    When I passed people on my way out of the temple, I placed my hand on their head, blessing them.
    ~~~
    I found Despair in the Royal Palace, right across from the Royal Library.
    She was reading a book in her room there.
    I left my flip-flops at the door.
    I sat down on her bed, taking her hand in mine and kissing it.
    I was sure she knew what I’d come here to do.
    “I’ll regret this in the long run, but I find you so irresistible…” she said, pressing her lips against mine.
    Then, it happened.
    It was like an explosion going off, the sea and the cold, coming together as one; through a simple kiss.
    We began to rip the clothes off each other, the intensity of the moment overpowering us.
    Things shattered around us, wind blowing the shutters open.
    A shroud of mist, frost, and cold fire surrounded us; all I could see was her.
    Snow whirled and swirled around the room, and as I tried to take her top off, I heard the distant sound of the roaring ocean.
    ---------------------------------------
    Despair
    Once Jerad got my top off, I grabbed his arms and pushed him against the headboard of my bed. I moved his foot off my pillow, which was kind of hard to do since I had made him stand up. I pulled the clothes off his lower body.
    He must have really been the God of the Sea and King of the Ocean; everything on him looked as if it had been crafted from the sea:
    His eyes were a dark blue with small jade green streaks here and there.
    His hair seemed to be a dirty blonde – almost brown – color.
    His skin, the perfect mix of coffee (with cream) and caramel, naturally tan.
    His muscles, strong and huge, just like the ocean.
    His personality is so reckless and impulsive, yet calm and gentle.
    Everything from his head to his toes, was perfect.
    I was filled with…Lust.
    He leaned towards me, falling on top of me, making a trail of kisses going downward, towards my chest. He unclipped my bra in one smooth motion, continuing his trail of kisses, until finally his kiss landed on material that wasn’t skin, but my jeans.
    He unzipped them, gently pulling them off.
    Water sliced through the fabric of my panties.
    We stood up, and as I vigorously unbuttoned his shirt, he smiled.
    I made my way down to the last button.
    Once everything was off...I gave myself to him.
    Partial Vengeance, Full Revenge to be continued...
    Chapter 7: Part Two of Part Two: Partial Vengeance, Full Revenge
    Jerad
    Lynet paced around my room... trying to recover from the pain of seeing me and Despair together in bed.
    Suddenly, I couldn't breathe, it was like someone was intentionally suffocating me.
    Hair fell over my eyes, obscuring my vision as I struggled to breathe.
    “How could you, Jerad?” Lynet screamed at me. “I thought we had something...something special!”
    She put her hand down letting the air finish it's journey down my wind pipe.
    “I did too, that was before I, SAW WHAT YOU DID IN THE ROYAL LIBRARY!” I screeched, all of my pain and emotional agony I'd tried to hide when I saw her and Star in the library, going into those last few words.
    Hot tears made their way down her face.
    “What are you trying to say?” She asked, her eyes pleading.
    “We're through, Lynet...I can't be with someone who cheats, and anyway you and Star are a perfect match.” I said, slowly walking toward her.
    I cupped her face in my hands, and placed a light kiss on her lips.
    “Goodbye...” I said, escorting her out of my room.
    “You will suffer for this, Jerad... you will suffer!” Was the last thing I remember Lynet saying to me before she electrocuted me.
    Why don't I start where I left off!
    ~~~
    Suddenly, the shroud of snow and mist parted, revealing a person - a woman - who I barely recognized.
    Her usual straight, dark brown hair was now frizzled and black. Her eyes were stormy grey, those dangerous, spidery yellow streaks she always got when she was angry, very present, like lightening during a storm. Her clothes were shredded and burnt, probably because of the massive amount of electricity she and star emanated during sex.

    Lynet looked...evil, almost.

    “How dare you touch him, Despair!” she said, her voice raspy and weak.

    “I came here on my own freewill, Lynet.” I said. “Now, please calm down, girl!” I walked over to her, willing the oil in the lantern by the window to cover my groin.

    “Let's take this somewhere else.” I whispered, placing my hand on the back of her head, then quickly pulling away, watching as my skin slowly dissolved from the heat of her body. I'd need some water from the Coral Wells to heal from this burn.
    ~~~
    That event led up to the one we are in currently.
    It was time to confront Star now.
    ~~~
    Black blood dripped from Star's bottom lip, and when he spit, a tooth came out too.
    The thin liquid coming out with each of Star's heartbeats.
    Suddenly, his eyes turned a deadly gray with those streaks running through them like Lynet's had.
    I punched him again, willing the blood with my mind to come out of the wound.
    Words had failed me for the first and last time; physical confrontation had been inevitable.
    But before I could hit him again, a blast of wind hit me with such force, I flew into the wall.
    I stepped out of the crater I'd created in the wall, which was the north wall of the Great Theatre.
    The wind stung my eyes, causing to cry.
    Maybe, Jasper can take care of this! I thought.
    Silently, I summoned him to come out, and beat the **** out of Star for me.
    I heard his mental reply, and felt him take control.
    “My name is Jasper, Star.” Jasper said, standing up, raising the tides as he did so. “Meet your worst nightmare.”
    The ocean exploded and the Royal Harbor flooded, overturning boats and ripping apart the docks.
    A giant wall of black water rushed towards us, but when it hit, barreling at us like a freight train, it parted when it met touched Jasper.
    At that moment, I realized I was seeing these events unfold and not like it usually happened: I would remember the events Jasper went through once I was summoned.
    Weird! I thought.
    Star and the black wave were just about to hit the Great Theatre when Jasper held up a hand.
    Slowly, he pushed the water back, until the air cocoon the water hand made around him was just air, no cocoon.
    The water pressure grew more and more and I thought I could here the sound of Star's bones cracking over the roar of the water.
    Stop, Jasper, I told him mentally.
    “When?” he replied aloud.
    Now, I screamed into his mind.
    The wave began to recede, Star's limp body dropping to the ground with a loud thud.
    Jasper silently summoned me back into our body.
    Thanks, I told him.
    I made my way over to Star, leaning down and whispering into his ear, “You can have Lynet, now. I just wanted you to know not to ever touch one of my girls again...sadly, Lynet's not one of those now.”

    “You filthy son of a —” he stopped. “You mean....you and her had a thing?”
    “Duh!” I replied.
    “I'm sorry, friend. I didn't know.” He looked sincere. “Can we start over?”
    “Sure!” I said, taking out a small crystal vial.
    “Drink a small amount of this,” I said. “And you'll be completely healed.”
    I watch as he took a small sip; saw the water fill his cuts and seal them up.

    Istanbul, Turkey: Jasmine's Room

    Jasmine and Delphin sat on Jasmine's seventy precent cotton, thirty percent wool bed spread.
    Jasmine's red miniskirt was pulled to one side, as if someone had tugged at it.
    Her left hand was cupped around the side of Delphin's stubbly chin, her glossy lips all over his.
    Delphin shifted uncomfortably.
    “Stop trying to hide it!” she said, poking at the bulge in his pants.
    Delphin's hand moved up and down Jasmine's thigh as he transferred his thoughts to her.
    “Delphin,” she said, sitting a little straighter in Delphin's lap. “Why are you here?”
    “You already know why! When you kissed me a few seconds ago, I told you through that touch.” Delphin replied.
    “I know, but I want to here you say it.”
    “Because, I love you.” Delphin said, moving his hand up her thigh, lifting her miniskirt with it.
    “We can't,” Delphin whispered. “It's against the Law of Rhöl.”
    “No one has to know...” Jasmine replied quietly, placing his hand on her hip.
    “Jasmine, if we were to...date, where would we go?”
    “Wherever you wanted.” she replied.
    Eiffel Towerumeis,” Delpin shouted, and the sky fell.

    Eiffel, Paris, France

    The sky didn't actually fall...it split.
    Delphin and Jasmine were sent into this... crack in the sky and transported to The Eiffel Tower.
    “The Eiffel Tower, eh?” Jasmine said, staring into the night sky.
    The Eiffel Tower was lit up like a Christmas Tree, contrasting perfectly with the dark, tar black night.
    A tare had formed in Delphin's shirt, a tare created by Jasmine.
    “Why won't you succumb?” she asked him.
    “It's against His policy.” Delphin said.
    “I don't care about Him!” Jasmine shouted.
    “Oh, you don't?” someone said from behind them.
    “Rhöl!” Delphin whispered.
    “I am the breath of man, but I am also the death of man. I think it's time for you to leave this Earth, dear.” Rhöl whispered, his cloak shimmering white, then black.
    Rhöl is God, in the Deranloean Language or, the Ancient Language.

    Chapter 8: The Lambs and the Writer

    Jerad

    “I-I-I-I can't take it anymore!” He screamed, bringing the knife down on his wrist.
    Sweat dripped from his brow, making the slice hurt even worse.
    He sliced himself more, tearing through the skin of his legs and arms like hot water on ice.
    Tears fells from his snow white eyes, falling on earth already covered with the his innocent blood.
    A maniacal laughter came forth from his mouth.
    Only god could save him now.

    “Wake up, Jerad!” Arria screamed, arousing me from my gruesome nightmare.
    A hazy-like green halo hovered over her head, radiating her power and spiritual essence.
    I bet you my life she entered my mind while I was sleeping; hearing my cry of sorrow, seeing the blood hit the ground, feeling the pain of the my cuts, tasting my tears...
    That wasn't me, I realized.
    The person in my nightmare looked like me, he had my wild hair, maybe it was a little longer, and everything else, except I didn't have scars all over my body, and my eyes weren't iceberg white. This strangers eyes were speckled black in places, too.
    Just like a real iceberg, like the ones I'd seen in...what's that place called again...umm, MICHIGAN! Lake Michigan...
    I couldn't believe I'd forgotten one of my own territories!
    “What's happening to me Arria, what is wrong with me?” I asked her.
    Arria closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her eyes were a deadly green and her voice sounded hoarse.

    “Jasper is the one with jade green eyes,
    Jerad is where the last piece hides,
    James is scared, feeling compelled to lie.
    James and Jasper each hold a key,
    Combined, to unlock the the final piece.
    The trust will set us all free,
    In chains, the Holy Land lies
    In the Holy Land, the final battle will be,
    In peace...and liberty...it thrives...

    The Twin Lambs roam Neuro and Edam,
    One of Fire and One of Water,
    They are the salvation of Fan Fiction.

    The fallen angel, Alec by name,
    Will set up his sick little game.
    Queen Dajzha of Dragosia will rise,
    Her sovereignty spread far and wide.
    The people of the Palestine will be surprised,
    Like the Crusades, there's nowhere you can hide.”
    Arria's voice turned masculine...as a matter of fact, it didn't even sound like hers, but of someone else's.

    “The prophecies have changed, with decisions made by the descendants of Adam and Eve.
    This one just spoken by Arria the Serpentine, is final.
    Thus saith the Spirit of Arria, the Breath of Man, and the Innocent.”

    She said, her voice going back to normal as she tried to articulate the words she'd spoken before she collapsed...
    “What does it mean...” I whispered, kissing Arria on the soft skin of her cheek, laying her head onto my pillow.
    When I looked into the glasslike mirror in my bedroom, I saw the jade green eyes Arria had spoken of, they flickered, and I saw my very own azure-like eyes, my eyes flickered, and I saw snow-white colored eyes again, flecked with black.
    My brain felt scattered and as I convulsed on the floor, I heard voices, and saw things.
    ”I am James,” the voice whispered...“You must save me, to save yourself.”
    “Get out of my mind...” I screamed.
    “We are a part of you.” Jasper said.
    The convulsing stopped, and I layer there, speechless and awed by the power that'd just been displayed inside of me.
    That had been weeks ago, right now I was contemplating how to get information on the Palestine.
    Maybe there'd be a book about it?
    Maybe there'd be experts?
    Who knew, I could possibly already know the information and it was just tucked into the far reaches of my brain; esoteric and only for this new person in my body, James, and the other known resident, Jasper.
    I browsed the shelves, when suddenly, a shadow fell across the aisle.
    Turning, I looked at the grim face of Arria. “They've managed to break through, haven't they?” I whispered.
    “Yes,” She replied. “King Teja has already left to try and assert his authority on the people an stop the riots...”
    “Find Lynet, I'll find Despair and Star.” I said.
    ~~~
    I slipped into the Royal Palace, heading down the eloquent corridors, 'til I reached Star's room.
    I knocked twice, a rhythmic tap, and the door opened immediately, revealing what appeared to be Star.
    “What happened to you?” I asked, my eyes sweeping over the crazy symbols that were plastered everywhere on his wall.
    “I can't sleep, I've been having the craziest nightmares...” he replied, his bloodshot eyes now transmitting a message to his brain about the serious expression on my face.
    “About?” I prompted.
    “Queen Dajzha...” He paused. “I've been having dreams about the Palestine, her, and some angel, Alec.”
    “We'll worry about that later, it's time to leave for Cairo, they've broken through. What's ironic is, the locals forced us to leave, when we were trying to save them!”
    I remembered being in the Cairo, leaving, then through Jasper's eyes, I saw Alexandria collapse Centega's walls, crumbling their defenses.
    I remembered coming back to Cairo, and not being let back in; the Araeviers saying it was too dangerous.
    Thorlas left Angel to take us to Cairo, looking behind me through Jasper's eyes, I'd seen Despair trying to work her magic, failing, and following us, leaving Angel and Alexandria alone together.
    I once again traveled the many corridors
    When I reached Despair's room, she wasn't there, all her stuff seeming to have vanished.
    I decided not to worry about it, going back to the Temple.
    ~~~
    “This, is amazing!” We all said simultaneously.
    We gazed at the charred fringes of the gaping hole in the city wall.
    “Hey!!!” a voice yelled.
    We all turned to see Zaln, Delphin, and Alexandria running towards us.
    “Can you believe it?” Alexandria screamed, her voice going very high and ecstatic in pitch. “I, Alexandria Syliceia Claymore, broke through the walls of Cairo!”
    “We've got urgent news to tell y'all!” Zaln and Delphin said.
    We ignored them.
    “That's excellent news,” Arria said.
    “The power she wields,” Arria said turning to the rest of the group. “Must be mighty.”
    We all nodded in agreement, even I, who dared not challenge Arria's statement.
    “What is so important?” Thorlas inquired, startling us all as we turned once more.
    He must be excellent at unheard movement.
    “It has to do with Lyrgor,” said Delphin. “As you know, Lyrgor is a giant region covering Centega, Edamynoe, Neuro, and Dragosia.
    “For thousands of years, a secret civilization has thrived there. We call ourselves, ‘The Dodeca Tribes of Lyrgor.’” Delphin paused, giving me just enough time to interrupt.
    “Did you say, ‘We?’” I asked, tentatively.
    “Indeed he did.” noted Zaln. “We being Delphin, I, and several others.
    “I am the Tribahleder or Tribe(al) Leader of the Tribe of Jelos. Our friend Delphin here is the Tribahleder of the Tribe of Testosteron.
    “We are servants of the Most High God, Rhöl. Rhöl recently made a visit to earth, taking away Jasmine, Tribahleder of the Tribe of Chorona.
    “Recently, a man known as Kaedus, Tribahleder of the Tribe of Illustrocity, was attacked by the Centurion. Him and his tribe, that is.” When Zaln tossed his hair to the side, bloodshot eyes were revealed under it.
    Resting under the eyelids which he closed a moment later, hid tears...tears of grief.
    Delphin decided to take over.
    “Rhöl has a message for you, Jerad...Jasper...James...whomever you are.” Delphin said grimly, turning towards me.
    “He said, ‘You are not a God, but a/the King of Water.’”
    Then, he leaned forward, signaling for me to follow his example an lean forward, too.
    “King Matt Crolux is your brother. Rhöl said you took after your Dad, Darius, and Matt Crolux took after your mother, Ariadne.” He whispered.
    “The Twin Lambs,” I said, the full meaning of what'd said hitting me a moment later. “Wait, so...my brother, is the King...of Phi Lacus?” I whispered questioningly.
    “That was implied.” Delphin replied.
    “I am one of the Twin Lambs,” I said, turning to the others.
    A mosque loomed to the right of our group, and I ran inside, turning to one of the Prayer Servants.
    “Which way leads to the Bell Tower?” I asked him.
    “That door to your left, why?” He replied.
    “You'll find out soon enough,” I said over my shoulder, already through the door.
    I trekked up the stairway, finally reaching the top and spotting a giant rope ahead.
    I brought the rope down hard, twice.
    The action in turn made the Bell of Cairo sound, the two sweet notes resonating throughout the city.
    “Hail, people of Cairo and Fan Fiction!” I shouted.
    All transactions in the Market Place stopped; all religious ordeals halted; all activity ceased, I now held everyone's attention.
    “Salvation for the people is here! I am one of the Twin Lambs!” I yelled.
    The city erupted in shouts and screams of excitement, happiness, and praise to god.
    It was like Pope Benedict the 16th and all the Catholics in the world had gathered in Vatican City, Rome, Italy. Except this time, it was Cairo.
    I ran back down the staircase, through the door, and back into our little group.
    “Today, the people gathered here today will receive their weapons and armor.” Cygnus said, his voice, as always, barely above a whisper. I'm surprised I was able to hear him.
    ~~~
    Hours later, I looked at myself in the mirror, watching as the dusky light reflected off the mirror and onto my breastplate, tossing purple, red, blue, orange, and pink light around the room.
    By now I'd learned to control when I switched personalities.
    “Such a beautiful display of light,” A feminine voice said from behind me, my bulky, yet lean build, keeping her out of my reflected line of sight.
    I whirled around with the speed of a viper, unsheathing my sword, Jasper, as I did so.
    The woman the voice belonged to took my breath away, her black hair obscuring one of her brown eyes.
    Her skin like soft honey and milk chocolate combined, without a bump or pore in sight.
    “My name is Sharlyse,” she whimpered, her eyes focused on the point of my blade, just centimeters from her nose. “I am the Queen of Fan Fiction, put down your blade.”
    “Your Majesty,” I said, sheathing my sword. “Can you ever forgive me?”
    “Of course! I am honored to be in the presence of a Lamb.” She replied, curtseying to me while I bowed to her in return.
    “As I am to be in a Queen's.” I whispered, studying her.
    She definitely had a figure, but I couldn't ever touch her; because of the way she looked.
    She had deep, chocolate brown eyes like my mother, but the skin and hair of my father.
    Her smile was a lookalike of my mother's...we were most definitely related.
    “Do I know you?” I asked. “You look startlingly familiar...and like...me.”
    “Interesting,” She said. “I was thinking the same thing, except, I was thinking you look like me!”
    “Sister?”
    “Brother?”
    “Brother and Sister?”
    That last one wasn't us, but of a man.
    We turned around with lightning speed, beholding another man who looked like us, too!
    “King Matt?” We asked both questioningly and simultaneously.
    “King Jerad and—”
    “—Queen Sharlyse Writer; I am the Daughter of King Darius and Queen Ariadne of Fan Fiction and Edam.” Sharlyse finished for him.
    Matt and I glanced at each other.
    “I am the Son of King Darius and Queen Ariadne of De Anokolumian.” I stated.
    “I am the Son of King Darius and Queen Ariadne of Constantinople, Guardian City of The Eastern Church in Phi Lacus.” Matt said.
    Sharlyse walked up to us and placed her middle and index finger on my right temple and Matt's left temple.
    My eyes closed without my brain's or my body's consent.
    Then, a pure white light pierced the darkness of my closed eyelids, and when I opened them, I was at a nursery.
    Sharlyse and my fire-haired brother were nowhere to be seen.
    When I looked down, I saw two cribs.
    Reading the labels I saw Jerad Hydroluc written on one crib, and Matt Crolux on the other.
    Everything seemed to speed up then, Matt being taken away to be raised in Constantinople; myself being taken away to my new palace home.
    My life passed by quickly until the moment when they were told to leave and go to Constantinople; it was sad seeing my mom move around with her pregnant belly most likely paining her when she bent down to pick up a suitcase.
    The blackness returned and was once again pierced by that blinding white light.
    I seemed to have arrived just before my parents did at the Fireon Palace.
    My mother, looking graceful as she leaned down to kiss my younger-looking brother on his cheek, had a tear leaking out of her eye an down her cheek.
    “Mother!” Matt cried.
    “How'd you know?” Mother asked.
    “A child never forgets his or her mother.” Matt said intelligently.
    Then things sped up again, and suddenly I was at another nursery.
    On the crib in front of me was written: Sharlyse Writer.
    Sharlyse was then taken to Cairo.
    My mother and father then told Matt—a year later— they had to leave and go to Cairo.
    Black void returned and I patiently waited for the next scene to take place.
    I heard giggling and then a voice said, “You can open your eyes now.”
    “What happened?How'd you do that?” I asked Sharlyse, turning to see an expression of shock on Matt's face, and a tear sliding down his cheek.
    “I never wanted to relive that moment...” Matt whispered. “That moment almost destroyed me!” Fiery tendrils licked at his pupils, the flames soon consuming his eyeball.
    “Call down, brother.” I said, watching as the Haventry Armor turned a mix of red, orange, yellow, and white.
    He shook with rage, a rage so intense, that things burst into flames around him.
    “Gabriel's Map!” Sharlyse screamed, watching as it slowly disintegrated.
    Time seemed to stop then, the last note in Sharlyse's voice seemingly ringing through time.
    A slithery tendril of what appeared to be...blue nothingness, wrapped around Matt.
    Frost spread over his face and neck, then his arms and legs, until it completely enveloped him.
    The soft clop of heels sounding behind him, and when I tried to see what it was making the noise, I couldn't move.
    A figure appeared from behind Matt, with the snakelike head of Medusa, only, instead of a monstrous face, it was that of Despair's.
    Her entire body seemed to be formed of some hazy, glowing, blue light. The snakes that were supposedly the hair of Medusa, weren't snakes, but that same blue light, only, the separate tendrils that made up Despair's hair, seemed to have a mind of their own.
    She walked over to the remains of Gabriel's Map, and lightly touched the ashes.
    Smoky, blue tendrils, coursed through her index finger and onto the ash.
    The tendrils crisscrossed it, and color slowly returned to the ashes.
    Then, they floated upward rearranged themselves in midair, and fell back to the bed where the rested as one thing: Gabriel's Map.
    Time resumes shortly thereafter, and three of us in the room gasped; Sharlyse, Despair, and I.
    Matt was frozen solid, and I estimated that the layer of ice surrounding him was at least three meters thick.
    Fire seemed to be burning behind the ice, and I sensed the space the fire was creating behind the ice, filling up with water.
    “Matt's gonna drown himself,” I cried, reaching toward him.
    “Don't,” Despair said, her body and hair going back to normal. “You'll freeze to death if you touch it!”
    But of course, stupidity and ignorance got the better of me, and I touched it.
    Chapter 9: The Ice Wielder
    James
    I touched the ice with the thought of breaking it.
    Seconds later, it shattered.
    A voice other than mine mentally urged me to turn towards the mirror.
    What I saw astonished me.
    Our—Jerad,Jasper,and I—body had taken my form.
    Cuts ran across my skin, and dark scars covered my legs.
    When shards of ice flew from the 'iceberg', they immediately stopped in midair once I held my hand up.
    I held up my other hand, slowly bringing them together and watched as the shards compacted.
    Everyone stared at me like I was a freak.
    “Hey, everyone...I'm James.” I said.
    The ice formed a double-edged sword about five feet long and two feet wide. Strange markings looked as if they'd been etched there.
    I grabbed the ice blade out of the air and found that they were etched into it.
    “That is Deranloean...” Sharlyse whispered. “It says,
    ‘For he who holds this blade is one of both wisdom and insanity. The one who holds this sword is salvation and destruction. With caution, and recklessness, you are.
    ~Rhöl
    ’”
    I laughed...and laughed...and laughed! A deep, raspy, maniacal laughter that reverberated off the rooms walls.
    “Why are you laughing?” Matt asked.
    “Because, insanity is my friend...” I said, turning over my arms.
    I grasped the blade in my right hand, practicing a few sword moves and then put it in the buckler at my belt.
    “I'm just an alter ego of Jerad's.” I commented, heading towards my — Jerad's — bed.
    “I think I like Jerad better.” Despair remarked quietly.
    “How extraordinary!” I heard someone say before I blacked out.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~{|}~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Jerad

    I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by the Altrya Serpent.
    “What happened?” I asked.
    “You turned into your alter ego, James.” Someone replied.
    I opened my eyes to find the looming figure of Cygnus above me.
    His red eyes seemed to pierce my mind, exploring my very essence and listening to the other two voices in my head.
    I realized something at that moment: No one outside of the Centurion has red eyes in the known realm.
    I decided to put up a mental wall and keep that thought locked behind it.
    An expression of confusion crossed Cygnus's face.
    “You've grown stronger...” Cygnus said in his normal barely-above-a-whisper tone. “The Centurion will definitely be afraid!”
    Instantaneously, a loud noise, like you'd imagine Hell to sound like, sounded right outside the my Writer's Palace window.
    We all yelled cries of battle, hearing the call of war, and jumped out the window.
    Despair flew above us, her beautiful wings radiating the power of royal færy blood.
    She begin to morph into that figure that scared me so much, and a uncomfortable light emitted from her eyes, blinding me and ultimately putting me in danger as I picked up speed.
    I felt a shockwave travel around our small party when we connected with the pavement of the famed, Market Place.
    Pardon me!
    You see, when Cairo became capital of the state of Fan Fiction and of the writing world, it was remodeled.
    A quadrangle was formed around Market Place.
    The Writer's Palace was built in the northern block, overlooking the entire city, with the wall of Cairo behind it. On the eastern side was built the amazing Quiller's Complex Building, where tykes are taught to write, and scholars record the novels, stories, poems, and books written by themselves and the people of Fan Fic; and where the Scrolls of History remain.
    On the western side lies the Temple of Rhöl, where people gather to pray and things of that nature. Sil Xavitre runs through the middle of the Temple, and at the banks of it, people wash each others feet with oil and water from the river.
    To the south lies the Defense of Attacks building or DOA. Inside the DOA Building, knights train to defend Fan Fic from attacks.
    OK, back to the story.
    In my head, I could hear the voices of Jasper and James, warning me of the dangers to come.
    The entire quadrangle was silent.
    No people were there but us.
    I turned slowly to my left, and leaned toward Matt's ear.
    “What's all the commotion about?” I whispered.
    “Beats me.” He replied.
    “They can't see it.” Sharlyse and Arria said.
    My sister's eyes were a violent red, each eyeball like the Great Red Spot of Jupiter, only a deeper red and the pupil was small, like the eye of a storm, and the white of her eyes you couldn't even see.
    When I looked at Arria, her eyes were that spooky green color. They looked like Sharlyse's, only green.
    Their hair was spread out from their head, like static electricity was surrounding them.
    They spread their arms out and slowly lifted off the ground.
    “Despair, Queen of Cold,” They said simultaneously. “Summon the Blizzard. Lynet and Star, Queen and King of the Auras, summon the fog.”
    I looked above me and saw as Despair summoned the storm, her mouth moving rapidly, her blue hands coming together at the last syllable of what she had said.
    Across the pavilion or quad, I saw Lynet and Star, crowns shining on their heads, summon the whitest fog I'd ever seen.
    Since when did Star become King? I didn't know.
    A shape began to take form in the midst of the snow and fog.
    Instantaneously, a roar shook the quad, causing bricks and debris to fly everywhere.
    “Behold, the foul...Altrya Serpent.” Arria and Sharlyse whispered. “Behold, the Hero of the Shadows.”
    “That's an unusual name for the Serpent.” I replied.
    “No, look,” Cygnus said to my right.
    I turned towards him, following his index finger.
    A small black figure was darting through the snow and fog, averting the path of cascading debris as it moved.
    “I wish the damn snow and fog would disperse, but that would mean letting the Serpent run free.” I heard a voice say.
    On the eastern side of the quad, I could barely make out Zaln and Delphin.
    It was true, I could only make out what was nearest to me and everything else was just black figures and such.
    The figure I'd seen darting about grabbed the tail of Altrya, running up the ten meter thing.
    The serpent roared again, and could see why.
    The figure had cut through the thick hide and amputated the tail with some kind of short sword.
    I could see and hear more slicing as the shape ran up the creatures spine, reaching it's head and cutting it off too.
    Oh, crap. I thought. This person is good.
    The corpse...vanished.
    The snow an fog...gone.
    I began to make out the shape.
    It was a boy.
    But before I could really make him out, he was gone too.
    “Behold, the Hero of the Shadows, Smighter.” Sharlyse and Arria said, their hair falling back onto their shoulders and their feet touching the ground.
    Ironic, the Altrya Serpent, since it's invisible unless killed or stuff like fog and snow shows it's outline, probably really did hit me.
    Imagine ten meters of tail, three yards of head, 12 feet of body, and fours tons, hitting you!

    Chapter 10: The Light

    Hope

    “That won't really happen, will it?” I whispered, gazing at the sphere of light before me, portraying a scene where I would first meet Matt.

    “No dear, it won't.” A man in black an white robes said.
    “Rhöl, they probably think I abandoned them...” I stated.

    The man in black and white, known as Rhöl, looked me straight in the eye.

    “No, they will not. Now go, they need you.” He whispered, and I slowly closed my eyes.
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    I awoke looking into the a pair of purple eyes.
    I began examining the figure above me; curly silver hair with frost blue streaks running through it, a pair of giant dark blue wings, a hyperborean blue cloak with a symbol of snow on the hood. Only one person could have that cloak.
    “Despair,” I croaked, “I'm back.”
    A single tear escaped my sister's eye before we were both sobbing. I buried my head into her shoulder, my tears immediately freezing whenever one fell onto her cloak.
    “You need to find Matt...” Despair whispered.
    She was right, I realized I was shivering.
    “Where are we,” I asked as we walked down a long corridor.
    “The Writer's Palace.” She replied.
    “In Cairo?” I inquired.
    “Of course!” She said.
    We stopped at one door and Despair told me to knock. Before I'd even rapped a second time on the door, it burst open.
    “Are you Hope?” A man with low-cut black hair, orange eyes, and a ascot wrapped around neck inquired.
    “Yes, I am.” I said, spreading out my palm and slowly bringing it up to his outstretched one.
    As soon as our hands connected, a circle of translucent orange light emitted from our palms, like a ripple in a pond, only vertical. As the lights spread it hit the floorboards and kept going, passing right through it.
    Then it began to disperse, turning into little particles and coming together at the top of my head, creating a silver and orange crown and solidifying.
    I looked behind me, a little confused at what was going on, but Despair had vanished.
    “You are destined to be my queen,” The man who I already knew to be Matt whispered. “The only thing is: do you accept destiny?”
    “I-I do.” I stuttered.
    “Then please, do come inside!” He replied.
    Inside Matt's room, I saw he'd done some remodeling.
    Everything in the place was either red, blue, orange, yellow, or white; the colors of fire. From chairs to the bed, to the walls to the floor and ceiling, they were.
    King Matt led me over to his bed, sitting down on a white spot and gesturing for me to do the same.
    “So, my queen,” He purred, “I hear you need warmth, or you'll die permanently.”
    “What you've heard is true,” I said sitting down.
    “So why don't I warm you up then?” Matt said, his hand bursting into flames before becoming a simple white-hot coating of fire.
    I lay down waiting for him to do the same, and watching as he did, letting his finger trace my color bone, and up my ear, following my hair line until my whole head was warm.
    He continued, going down my left arm and up, across my chest, to my right arm and up it.
    Matt then went down the center of my chest, down to my stomach, making a small circle when he reached my bellybutton, and then traced down my left leg.
    His heat was so intense, I could feel my cloak, the Heat Heritage Cloak, melting away, fusing with my new crown.
    He then went up my left leg, across my pelvis, and down an up my right leg.
    “Are you warm now,” He asked sincerely, extinguishing the film of of fire he had on his hands.
    “Not quite,” I replied, before leaning over and placing a light kiss on his cheek.
    ~~~
    I awoke the next morning to a sleeping Matt.

    I quietly tiptoed to the door, morphing into a wave of heat and slipping under the door. Thank Rhöl the door wasn't sealed like that time me and my sister were trapped in that dungeon.

    I reformed on the other side if the door, walking nonchalantly down the corridor, scoping the palace for Jerad. I soon found him, using my keen sense of warmth detection. I can switch my vision to see like thermal binoculars or more-than-better human sight.

    When he opened the door, I was shocked into thermal eyesight.

    “You must be Hope,” A person that favored Jerad said. “I'm James, another more powerful if you ask me version of Jerad. I would shake your hand, but heat and Frostbite's Helm aren't compatible.”

    He pointed to a strange crown-looking thing on his head. It looked to me like a super dark-blue ice ring with a black ring going through it at the vertical halfway point.

    Imagine a can on soup. Enlarge that to about the size of a mans head; the circle part of the can, the entire cylinder, really. Now, make a hole about three inches in diameter at the top of the can and the bottom, but in the center of the circle.

    Paint the can blue. Turn the can it's side and straw a black line at the halfway mark around the circumference of the can.

    On Frostbite's Helm the black line is halfway inside the inside the blue, though.

    “I'll melt it?” I guessed.

    “Pretty much! We'd lose one of the major sources of power for me if that were to happen, since I control ice.” He replied.

    I asked him where everyone of importance was and he gave me a brief summary of their locations before I left.

    So, I thought. Thorlas is helping fight the Centurion in India; Delphin, Zaln, Lynet, Jerad an the egos, Despair, Matt, King Teja, Star, Cygnus, Angel, Alexandria, Arria, and I are in Cairo; Crinus has left for the Dodeca Tribes to rally their support and try and get them to agree to fight; Smighter is somewhere in Edam; Kaedus is with Thorlas; Brian of Tibet is on his way to defend the Holy Land, wherever that is, with Caleb and the Snakes of Pogada; Augustus and Althalos are rounding up nature spirits everywhere; and The Centurion are marching toward Cairo at the moment. HOW WONDERFUL!

    I decided to visit the Dryad's Garden.

    I briskly walked down cobblestone pathways, towards the center of the Palace.

    I stopped at the entrance to the Garden, admiring the vinework above me, the honeysuckles at my feet, the chamomile to my left, the woad to my right.

    As I walked farther into the Garden, following a silty trail, I unfolded my giant red wings.

    Hollyhock surrounded me in a arch, with oleander, the poisonous plants of fierce warrior dryads, beyond it.

    Then, continuing on, I saw a sight so sad, I almost cried.

    Some small vulrals, volcanic plants, were dying from lack of heat, which they needed high temperatures of to survive.

    I got down on my knees, and begin whispering to the dying dryads within the plants to come out.

    They did eventually. They were super small from lack of heat and too much cold water, about the size of lizards.

    The dryads were black and red, kinda looking like one might think a pixy would look like, only without wings.

    “I am the Light of the World,” I whispered, placing my outstretched hand on the ground, beckoning them to crawl into it. “Experience my heat.”

    I then promptly burst into pale yellow, white-hot light, watching the vulrals explode with growth.
