Welcome to the iRate thread. This will be showing ratings on stories by our very own iEnterprise iRating Team. They are a fun bunch. Anyway, let's get this rolling. Only personnel working in iRate can post ratings, but anyone else can feel free to post their opinion on the rating. So let's get it started! Story: Guardian's Rebirth Author: Colonial_Elite_Guardian Rating: /5 Genre: Sci-Fi So this is Colonial's newest story. Right off the bat, you can see that this is one of those Sci-Fi themed stories, something that Colonial isn't usually known for doing. If you guys didn't know, he mainly focuses on modern war style stories, but hey, let's check out this one. The story is focusing on a savior-type hero against an entire empire of cruel oppressors. It has an interesting style, and the powers displayed are outta this world. They add that futuristic smell that makes people wonder what else is possible. And the main character. Colonial hasn't said too much for readers to know, which adds mystery to this character and leaves readers wanting to read on about this special character. He also adds characters smoothly, and uses strong imagery. Overall, the story looks promising and the organization is excellent. Keep up the great work Colonial! iRate Official Review Operation: Interception By: German_idiot Genre: Realistic Fiction/Sci Fi Rating: This is an excellent story with plenty of setting description, and verb difference. It is well organized and for the most part flows smoothly. However, the changes from scene to scene tend to be too abrupt and needs more transition from one scene to the next to make it less confusing. The emotional chord is also somewhat lacking, it's had to connect to the character. One example of this would be the character Bastion. When Bastion turned out to be a traitor, the reader didn't really feel sad. You didn't really give him enough "screen time" to let us feel the loss. Maybe you can include some flashbacks or something so we can really feel his absence. Being a guy though, the lack of emotional chord is understandable, but not necessarily a good thing. Try to let the reader connect with the characters more. Overall great job, other than those minor issues, it is an excellent piece of writing! Keep up the good work!
Official iRate Review Battle Camp: The Rebellion By lady_marion Rating: This can definitely be called one of the best stories in all of KaW. It started off a little choppy, but then settles into a well thought out, brilliantly crafted story. The plot is the main attraction of this addicting read, and though it has many exciting twists, it never morphs into a completely random piece of junk. This is a must read for those who like lots of action, and it definitely deserves it's high rating excellent work marion.
@Marian Gloomi has rated it, and she is an outstanding hardworker and skilled reader. She is the best, so... I ain't gonna mess with the queen here, but if you ever need a little opinion, just ask and we'll be happy to help iZ
Story: Operation Storm Author: Bastion Rating:.5/5 Genre: Modern Warfare Okay, so we've got here Bastion's story. Overall, this story rocks. The story presentation is great and Bastion introduces the characters well without confusing readers. He gives each a distinct feature that makes them different and stand out. It is a good war story, and adds a little excitement. It's like watching a really good action thriller in the movies, just dying to see what happens next. Readers are at the edge of their seat waiting for the next installment. Also, there is little grammatical errors and this takes advantage of the chaos of war and turns it into a tense story. Great story! Keep it up Bastion. iZaln iEnterprises™
