Today I was able to sit down and interview the developers on some important topics that many players in Kingdoms at War have. If you think I missed something or want to see something discussed in future interviews let me know. The next interview topic is going to be about the social aspect of the game. Don't expect it to come soon as developer's are very busy after all. Background: After being blindfolded and led to a undisclosed location I find myself in a dark room lit by one low hanging light. As my blindfold is removed I see a figure in front of me. He's hidden by a large red cloak but his voice is deep and deafening when he ask, "What do you wish to know?" I carefully think about my first question. Eventually for what seems like eternity I ask, "Oh great lord, creater of HTE, where do you see KAW in 5-10 years?" The man sat in deep thought before carefully answering with, " The whole team here is thrilled that Kingdoms at War has been a game our players enjoy so much that it's been able to stand the tests of time of the App Store. With the number of mobile games out there, seeing a mobile game be around for over 7 years is nearly unheard of. We're hoping that with our awesome players we'll be able to continue to grow the game and be around for many many years to come." I sat intrigued by this answer and knew I had to find out more information about the future. "Do you plan on any major updates in the near future?" I asked attempting to sound brave. " We're definitely looking at ways to continue growing and improving Kingdoms at War. Since it's a well-established game, you likely won't see any crazy updates that change key game mechanics, but rather refinements and adding more features to help the game grow and mature as years go on. You can see some of this with what we've done this year already." the man replied without any hesitation. After fighting countless battles with the bugs and seeing many friends die in this battle I knew I had to ask about this to see if the Lord's would help us in any way. "With the release of the new app for Apple users it has created a large amounts of bugs, do you plan on fixing them in a timely manner and when would we see the results?" I asked desperate for a answer. "Definitely always working on fixing bugs. We continue to push out updates with bugfixes as soon as we're able to identify and fix the issues." He answered back. He stood up and stood above me towering over me before looking down with his face obscured by the cloak. "What else do you wish to know young one?" he asked of me. I looked up at his faceless body replying, " Many players enjoy spending money on this game but feel that their investment is not translating to any betterment of the game. How do you use the money? Is any put into advertising or new fissures?" The man steaming with anger for questioning him and the beings ways angrily replied, " We hope that players do continue to enjoy the game and make purchases as it helps support us and the game in a number of ways. Creation of content, maintenance of code, execution of events, and a number of important tasks are included in our salaries, which purchases go towards. It also allows us as a company to continue to grow and experiment. Hopefully, we're continuing to give players content they enjoy playing and give them value for their purchases." I slowly gaining back my bravery quickly shot back with, "The community feels the new "free" nobs offer has turned into a big flop, with few offers working and lots of spam with offers. Do you plan to make any changes to let players have more opportunities to get free nobs?" To which he replied, " The free Nobility offers are offered by a third party provider, and as long as players meet the criteria and do not use VPN's or Ad-Blocking tools should pay out. Once we can verify as not working we have had removed, and continue to work with the company in charge of them." Seeing I had limited time left rushed to finish any last questions I had. "Are there any new epic battles, replacement/improvements for HTE, or lands for players to look toward to?" He replied quickly, "Always going to be new content to look forward to. Though I can't give specifics on timelines or details other than stay tuned to our forums and social media for updates as we're able to push them out." He started motioning me to leave but I snuck in 1 final question. "What are you doing to promote new players to KAW?" He replied as i was blindfolded and led out with, "We continue to improve the game and are always looking at ways to bring in new players. Being an older game, it's a bit trickier than simply running ads, and so we've been working to optimize the appearance of the game, icons, and splash screens in the store and to appeal to more hardcore players. We do run ads when it makes sense, but it comes down to a value perspective. It's very easy to overspend on ads, especially for the kind of game Kingdoms at War is. We only run ads that we have seen are effective, and test newer ads on small scale first" As I was blindfolded and led away I caught one hint of who this mysterious being who seemed to have control over me was. On his cloak I could see a G then everything went dark......
Not that I know of but I heard the faint squeal of a pig in the background. I'm just lucky to be out safely.
Thanks? I attempted to make it a tad more exciting then just I asked and they said blah blah. I miss old forums and wish there were more creative thoughout threads
