Hello, and welcome to the independent writer's guild(IWG)! First of, I'd like to make it clear that we are not a writing company such as iZain Enterprises or iWriteCo. We do not offer anything along the lines of reviews, editors or even spell check. What is IWG? IWG is a group of writers that have no association to any of the two compagnies mentioned before. Effectively, making them independent writers. Our members are welcome to come here and discuss and share ideas with other writers in the same situation as they are. They are also invite to exchange ideas on how to create a following and how to promote their stories. We also encourage our members to discuss each other's story to give not only each other ideas, but to also involve the readers. Who can join the IWG? In order to be apart of the IWG, the only requirement is that you do not belong to writing company out there. This means we welcome just about anyone, from those turned down by the writing compagnies to the smaller and newer, emerging writers. What does the IWG offer? As mentioned, the IWG offers support to it's members such as idea sharing but also through special mentions of another writer's story on their own stories, a form of advertising. Writers are not required to read or mention other member's works, however it is encouraged especially since we expect you to do so for stories you actually like. Furthermore, we help our members keep their threads clean of spammers by enforcing anti-spam rules in effect in the forums today. Rules You are free to leave the IWG at anytime to join any compagnie and are welcome back if it doesn't pan out the way you had hoped and have quit. Mutual respect among writers is also enforced. If you feel you do not like a certain writer, please refrain from interacting with that person. Finally, we hope that as our member count grows, we will be able to put out a collective 5* review system on the many different stories available in KAW today. Here's to hoping :geek:
