I was blindly hitting HTE today like the sheeple person I am, when an idea of brain blowing proportions occurred to me. The Idea An Epic Battle that returns hits to the list of active participants. Simple enough, but you could get creative with it. First of all, it would need to hit players who are active in the EB, and have hit at least once. Now for the sake of example, let me make up a fake EB. First Half The Footsoldiers of Zeth Phase 1: Defeat the Scouts near your kingdom 3000/3000 This phase would be the players attacking the scout bar, and the scouts only occasionally hitting back. Phase 2: Repel the main attack 5000/5000 This is where the EB would really start fighting, hence the attack. It would select active players and hit them with a certain amount of damage, depending on their stats. Larger players would sustain more damage, smaller would sustain less, although it would be roughly equal. Chase the Attackers back to their lands 1000/1000 The EB would hit less again during this phase. The attackers to the north were repelled, but those to the south have taken advantage of your divided armies, and have attacked your kingdom! Return and wipe this scourge from your homeland! Second Half Drive the Footsoldiers out of your homelands 5000/5000 Same as second Phase, first half. The EB selects players to randomly attack, and since they are in your kingdom, it may also steal gold. Seek out the hidden Soldiers 2000/2000 Scout, and find all hidden soldiers. Leave no survivors 5000/5000 This would be the final, and hardest part of the EB, with the EB hitting the hardest. Your kingdoms have sustained damage, but you killed the attackers, and sent a valuable message to any others. Other details The EB's hit strength would lower as the current bar did, just like your soldiers strength. As much as it would be amazing for the EB to farm inactive clan members, it just wouldn't work. Another pro of this is, it would in a sense, prepare EB fairies like myself for real PvP. Maybe sweeten the deal with Equipment, as well as increased drops of Inferno or Aqua. Tell me what you think, and suggestions.

No, I get that PvP hits back, but assuming it was an Equip EB or one with substantial rewards, then people would do it.
Better equip than the dragon EBs, or whatever LotL is part of? More gold than the dragons, LotL, or HTE? If you want rewards, do those^ You want something to hit back, hit a player. Depending on how much challenge you want, hit players from certain clans.
You already lose troops ordering them to throw themselves at the silly monster. Who the heck wants to waste double their troops for nothing. Hit battle list. You may even lose a full bar.
You sound like a nice kid zethor, but here is the deal. An eb that "hits back" would simply be annoying. It's bad enough having to do EBs that have "spy only or "attack only" bars. Having an eb that now randomly drains my troops would just be another drag. The point to hitting other players is that it's interesting. If I randomly hit a person what will happen??? Will I get wall rage? Maybe with a bypass? Will the clan attack me? Can I get him/her to agree to cf terms? Will I need to agree to their cf terms? That's whT makes hitting and getting hit fun, and an eb can provide NONE of that. EBs exist so people can log in when they are busy and do a quick unload before getting back to their day. Let your EBs be for growth and your incoming hits be from real players and not cardboard monsters

I disagree with Moose, EBs are the Monty Haul of D6 games (yes in old). EBS are boring because there is no inherent risk to reward. Even if you fail an EB you still generally come out ahead from plunder during. But an EB that reserves payout until complete would tweak the risk up a bit. Having an EB that could strike back in combination of withheld plunder would make it interesting. Match the EB enemy to the active hitters on a sliding scale so that as more join and hit, the stronger the EBs re-enforcements become. Ramp it up even more and let EB enemy "damage" buildings for duration of EB, this would reduce the effectiveness of individuals requiring more clan cooperation, buildings would repair at end. Outside hits would use original stats. Again, I feel EBs are boring because there is NO risk. DPR
