ice Moth drops. Theories?

  1. I want to hear your theories on why you get the amount of moths you do. Is it build related? Hits? Pots? Gold earned? Random? EB tier? All of these???

    Try to back your theory up with research, otherwise it's just a guess, which is what most of us are doing.

    Here's what I've noticed:
    1.) more unloads come with more moths (there may be a cap)
    2.) getting more pots in on Haunt or HTE seems to not affect the drop amount.
    3.) there's a bit of randomness that will give large drops (I got 413 from HTE, then tried to replicate everything and only got 175, then 146 and 134. The more actions and plunder I got, the fewer moths dropped. Could it be a seal to hit ratio?)

    These are a few things I'm mulling over. Now tell me what you've been seeing.

    I'd like to hear from some of the tournament leaders and chasers as well. I'm sure you've got some strategies. (If you're willing to part with them)

  4. Kuzmich just drops a lot of seals and presumably xstals twice every eb. By what I've encountered through my experiences 2 xstals per escape is the way to go. Max xstalling won't get you a significantly higher amount of moths, so if your going to xstal, xstal twice.

    Skimming also helps, in relation to Versa's thread, because it increases the damage per action done;

    So if you want to maximize moths, drop a ton of seals, xstal twice, and skim.

  5. Ok so please if anyone can explain how someone with 600/600/0/0 stats gets 130-140 moths every 30-40 minute hte from 1 action.

  6. It's the same reason guild hansels were getting huge drops during the fang event; If you're a small player; 600/600/0/0 -- Hitting a high tier Eb, fang drop will increase.

    If you've seen wulf's thread, at the top it shows examples of how big you should be to hit the eb, if you're considerably under that you'll get more drops, or so I think :3

  13. You can only get a maximum amount from actions done. An example is I still get about 50 moths from partially unloading on a 30 min nml and still get 50 with multiple unloads on a 3 hour nml.

  14. RPers get the best drops.. If you say something perverted in cc or pretend to be a cat then you will get best drops.. So I've heard
