Okay I was in class today and me and this girl got into an argument about racism, prejudice, and stereotypicalism. She said that racism is where you think of another race as inferior and I told her I thought its when a certain race thinks they are more superior than another. On prejudice she said it was when you prejudge someone on how they look and I said it could also be on how they act on a first impression. We agreed on stereotype just felt I needed to throw it in there. Would really like an opinion By the way I'm none of these only toward other KaW players Jk
is this a joke? if so its a bad one. that is the exact same thing said in two different ways. if you prejudge someone, you are judging the before you have any information as to their character the definition of prejudice is: A preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. if you are judging them on a first impression, you are just judging them. not prejudging them.
Actually it is not exactly the same thing. The first one, what the girl said, is racism, meaning you feel one race is inherently inferior. The second one, is something called racialism. Racialism is a word we don't use as much today, but something often talked about at the start of the twentieth century. Racialists often felt the "barbarian" race could do quite well as long as they adopted the culture and standards of the "advanced" race. For example some Americans believed long ago the Indian tribes could do just fine as long as they cut their hair, put on a suit, and adopted farming. That is racialism.

inferior - lower in rank, status, or quality. superior - higher in rank, status, or quality. if you think race "a" is superior to race "b"; then by defintion, you think race "b" is inferior to race "a". it doesn't matter whether you think race "b" can do better with proper education, or whether you think they are inherently "lesser". that point was never brought up by op. "why" they are beleived inferior is not relevant. only that the person believes them to be so.
i believe what you meant to say was: "there is no better place in the whole world other than the kaw forums. for real."
In other news the case of the stolen bike ended In a double **** homicide ... I should change schools.
