I present a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

  1. Please read the entire post thoroughly before commenting so that you can fully grasp the idea & to avoid unnecessary questions/confusion. TLDR; Move on to another post.

Raids would accessible to those who have EE lvl 1-5 & would be activatable similar to
how you activate epic battles with the basic requirements listed below:

To activate a raid encounter you would need 15-100 players (who have EE 1-5) in your clan to cast Aura of the Raider.

To begin the raid one player would need to use an Ancient Seal.

When the raid is over (whether completed or failed), all participants would receive the Raider's Exhaustion spell.

Each raid would have different EE lvl requirements (the more difficult ones having higher EE requirements & better rewards). Raids would incorporate different aspects of EBs & PvP/EE while focusing mostly on player coordination, teamwork, high activity, & puzzle solving. Raids would not be designed to be "easy", nor would their design lean towards the "casual" player. Hints on what to do at different points in the raids would be given in clan messages, notifications, and in the text under the bars in the raid window. Potions that increase stats when attacking or using spy actions would provide no statistical benefits. Your cs, bfe, bfa, etc will also provide no benefits. All players would inflict equal base damage. Base damage would only be modified by the following:

    • EE lvl 1: 10% dmg increase.
EE lvl 2: 20% dmg increase.
EE lvl 3: 30% dmg increase.
EE lvl 4: 40% dmg increase.
EE lvl 5: 50% dmg increase.
Battle Fury: 15% dmg increase on troop actions.
Bloodlust: 35% dmg increase on troop actions.
Fog of War: 15% dmg increase on spy actions.
Veil of Darkness: 35% dmg increase on spy actions.

Example: All players deal a base of 50 damage. If that player had EE lvl 5 their damage would be increased by 50% so they would deal 75 damage.

When the raid is designed, devs would make the strength of the raid with these things factored in:
    • EE lvl required to activate the raid.
Assumption that everyone will cast atleast 50% of the mith stat spells.
Base strength of the raid would be designed for 1 player.
Since all builds/players would deal the same base damage, devs could easily multiply the health of the raid by the number of players who casted for it.
Example: An item bar in the raid has 1000 health to be cleared for 1 player. If 30 people signed for the raid, that item bar would now have 30,000 health to be cleared.

Below is an example of a raid with an EE lvl 1 requirement:

    Raid: Castle Mors Indecepta
Long have the Shadowknight Legions raided your villages & laid waste to your lands. The time has come to take up arms against them! You must destroy their stronghold for good!
    Duration: 2 Hours
Requirements: 15 or more players within your clan must have cast Aura of the Raider & have EE lvl 1 or greater.

To open the raid encounter, one must use an Ancient Seal on the main bar.

    Phase 1: Finding the Castle

1st Bar: Scout information bar while using bribery gem.
    2nd Bar: Attack living forest.
3rd Bar: Assassinate swarm of bats.
4th Bar: Use orb of illumination on magic barrier. Orb of illumination will only deal -1 damage.
After a random number of uses 1 player will get a notification stating "A weakness in the dark barrier has been illuminated! Destroy the barrier while you can!".

A 5th bar will appear for the player who received the notification only & the barrier will be attack-able by all players in the raid. This bar will have a timer counting down the 30seconds that the barrier will be attack-able for. The player who received the notification will have to inform the clan that the barrier is temporarily attack-able. After the 30 seconds have expired, all attacks will fail & players will go back to using orb of illumination to illuminate another weakness. This will repeat until the barrier bar has been depleted.

After the barrier bar has been depleted, A/A Castle Defenses to 75%.

    Phase 2: Courtyard

This phase starts off with 3 bars.

The Shadowknight Legions bar will start out at 15/15 or whatever the number of players in the raid is.
The Shadowknight bar will appear for each player individually & they will only be able to use actions on their own bar.
Each player must A/A their own Shadowknight bar to 0 before Dreadknight Akheva is engage-able.
The Shadowknight Legions bar will go down as each player depletes their own Shadowknight bar until it reaches 0.

As soon as the Shadowknight Legions bar reaches 0, Dreadknight Akheva will become active. This will be the first "named" encounter you will see in this raid. Named encounters will require cooperation & coordination between clan members in order to complete them successfully. Players will begin to receive messages in clan chat/notifications & will have to respond accordingly.

The first named will have 2 abilities he can use. He will use one every 1-5mins depending on what the devs find appropriate.

Raid Message: You feel your vitality begin to drain...
Upon receiving this message, a new bar will appear for each player individually on the raid window as shown below.

Players will learn they must use Elixir of Vitality on the item bar. Until you clear your item bar, you will fail all actions.

Raid Message: Dreadknight Akheva raises the dead!
Raid Message: Dreadknight Akheva appears empowered with his fallen comrades by his side.
Raid Message: Dreadknight Akheva's comrades must be destroyed instantly or his power rise.

Upon receiving this message, a new bar will appear for each player individually on the raid window as shown below.

Each player will have to use Scroll of Death on the new item bar.
Until all players have cleared their item bar the named will be affected in the following way:
    • If all item bars are not cleared in 30seconds all players will deal 10% less dmg to the named.
If all item bars are not cleared in 60seconds all players will deal 25% less dmg to the named.
If all item bars are not cleared in 90seconds all players will deal 50% less dmg to the named.
If all item bars are not cleared in 120seconds all players will deal 0% dmg to the named.

After Dreadknight Akheva is defeated, A/A Castle Defenses to 50%.

    Phase 3: Inner Sanctum

This phase starts off with 3 bars similar to the previous one.

The Dark Templars bar will start out at 15/15 or whatever the number of players in the raid is.
The Dark Templar bar will appear for each player individually & they will only be able to use actions on their own bar.
Each player must A/A their own Dark Templar bar to 0 before Drakmord the Shadowbeast is engage-able.
The individual Dark Templar bar will regenerate by a small % every ? minutes (whatever the devs find appropriate).
The Dark Templars bar will go down as players deplete their own Dark Templar bar until it reaches 0.

As soon as the Dark Templars bar reaches 0, Drakmord the Shadowbeast will become active.
Players will begin to receive messages in clan chat/notifications & will have to respond accordingly.
Drakmord the Shadowbeast has 3 abilities he can use. He will use one every 1-5mins randomly depending on what the devs find appropriate & his health bar will be bigger then the first named.

Raid Message: Drakmord the Shadowbeast's eyes glow red with rage as he prepares for a devastating attack.
Upon receiving this message, a new bar will appear for each player individually on the raid window as shown below.

Each player will have 60 seconds to use the Magic Wall potion to clear the item bar.
If they do not clear the item bar before the 60 seconds are up, their troops & spies will be reduced to 0.

Raid Message: Drakmord the Shadowbeast's eyes glow blue with regenerative magic as he prepares to heal himself.
Upon receiving this message, a new bar will appear for each player individually on the raid window as shown below.

Each player will have 60 seconds to use the Mist of Confusion item to clear their item bar. The named will heal by an amount equal to the percentage of players in the raid who did not clear their item bar in time.
Example: If 20 players are in the raid & all but one player cleared their item bar, the named would heal for 5%.

Raid Message: Drakmord the Shadowbeast's eyes glow black with deceit as he spawns a hidden creature to shield him from harm.
Upon receiving this message, one player will receive a notification stating "You must locate & destroy the hidden creature!".
The player who received the notification's raid window will be updated & 2 new bars will appear (as shown below).

That player must use Potion of Sight on the the first bar then A/A the second bar to 0.
Any player using actions on the named will receive the message "Action would have no effect" until the Hidden Creature bars are cleared.

Any time you attempt to attack or assassinate Drakmord the Shadowbeast normally, you will fail & receive the following notifications:
    • Attack notification: The shadowbeast cannot be harmed by normal swords!
(Players will learn they must attack while using the Mystical Sword potion)
Assassinate notification: The shadowbeast spotted your spies before they were able to get near it! If only they could blend into the shadows...
(Players will learn they must assassinate while using the Ring of Shadows potion)

After Drakmord the Shadowbeast has been defeated, A/A Castle Defenses to 25%.

    Phase 4: Throne Room

As soon as you enter phase 4, Overlord Valrik the Faceless will become active.
Players will begin to receive messages in clan chat/notifications & will have to respond accordingly.

Overlord Valrik the Faceless is the "main named" of the raid & will have more hp then previous named. His encounter will also work slightly differently then the 2 previous ones. Every 5-10% of his health bar that gets cleared will trigger a new "phase" (whatever % the devs find appropriate). There are 7 different phases he may enter & he will remain in the current phase until he enters a new one. The phase he enters every 5-10% will be random, but he will always start out in the first phase listed below:

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless stands formidible...
Raid Message: It would be unwise to engage him while not at full strength.
Players will learn they must skim A/A on him from 100%; any action used while below 100% will fail.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless sees all but shadows...
Players will learn during this phase they may only assassinate him using the Ring of Shadows potion; all other actions will fail.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless seeks the blood of the weak...
Upon receiving this message, any actions used against the named will fail.
A new bar will appear for all members of the raid with a numbers equal to 10% of the total players involved in the raid rounded down as shown below.

Players will learn that the number displayed is the total number of players that must sko (fail atk/ass on the named) to make the named vulnerable again.
Once the Blood Offering bar has been cleared, a new message will appear in clan chat.
Raid Message: The Overlord lunges carelessly at your injured comrades, leaving him completely vulnerable.
For the remainder of this phase, all attacks/assassinations will deal 50% more damage.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless is enveloped in darkness...
Upon receiving this message, a new bar will be visable to all players (as shown below) & together they must clear the item bar using Orb of Illumination.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless ravages your soldiers inflicting a deadly toxin that spreads throughout your comrades!
Upon receiving this message, 2 new bars will be visable to each player individually as shown below.

Players individually must use Scroll of Healing to clear the item bar.
Failure to clear the item bar within 60 seconds will result that player's troops/spies being reduced to 0 as well as another player chosen at random's troops/spies being reduced to 0.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless sees all that is visible...
Players will learn during this phase they may only attack him using the Invisibility Potion; all other actions will fail.

Raid Message: Overlord Valrik the Faceless begins to cast a devastating spell...
Upon receiving this message, 2 new bars will be visable to each player individually as shown below.

Players will learn they must use Elven Shield to clear the item bar.
Failure to clear the item bar within 60 seconds will result in your troops/spies being reduced to 0.

After Overlord Valrik the Faceless has been defeated, the mithril chest will become steal-able (optional).
The total amount of mithril in the chest will be equal to the amount of mithril stat spells cast by all players within the raid (only counts mithril cast after the raid was initiated).
Each steal will yield a random number of mithril (between 1-5) until the steal bar is depleted.

Players may decide to allow only certain players to steal the chest in order to help equip certain clan members quickly, skip the mithril chest entirely (if low on time), or all steal the chest together.

After Overlord Valrik the Faceless has been defeated, A/A Castle Defenses to 0 to complete the raid.

    ----------------------------------

Rewards for completing the raid should include gold, a plunder bonus spell, a clan % bonus, mithril, unique equipment, pots, and a chance at xtals, seals, crux chests, land tokens, horns, etc.

These raids should be profitable to the devs considering you must buy a seal to open them & certain strats & the difficulty of the raid in general should cause people to xtal many times (especially if they fail certain strats).

I believe they would be extremely fun & really show what clans can both lead & follow/coordinate strategies together. What do you guys think?

    ----------------------------------

Oh and here are some pics of the monsters you would be fighting your way through in the raid :D

*Any errors you find in the OP, please wall me & I will fix them later... took forever to type this up.... I'm tired*

  2. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    My head hurts reading that.

Need to keep the EB way simpler.

  3. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    Great idea support

  4. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Way too much effort. No support.

  5. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    Too complicated

  6. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

That's kinda the point. Would not be aimed towards the casual player. Would essentially be a mix between a short EB & a war (2-3hrs) and would require the attention/coordination that wars require.

Rewards should also match the effort.

  7. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

I just lost an hr of my life reading this lol.

  8. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    "Too complicated"
    "Keep it simpler"

Don't listen to them, you're onto something pretty good here. Its a new and good idea that KaW needs. I actually like it, it just needs a little tweaking but thats a given on really any idea.

Also, try putting this tags around your images:

    Code:
    [imgfit] [/imgfit]
You'll have to get rid of these first though:

    Code:
    [img] [/img]

  9. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    I give 10/10 for effort

But could work on the layout a bit, for starters use the [ imgfit ] [ /imgfit ] code.

  10. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Very interesting. Would love a concept like this in future. Support.

  11. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

I'm not sure what I think.

  12. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

    Support.

  13. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Posted the pics on PC and looked fine. Guessing it looks bad on phones/devices? I'll try what you guys suggested.

Also note: These are supposed to be complicated & difficult. If you want the norm you always have the option to keep hitting EBs. I'd like to see something like this for the more "hard core" type of gamer.

You can easily figure out how to react to certain things by reading the clues given in notifications, clan messages, the text below the bars, and the descriptive text on the potions in the marketplace.

These are 2-3 hour raids that are supposed to require attention/teamwork/coordination much like EE wars.

    *Edit*

I used the [imgfit /imgfit] .... does it look different? Better? (removed to ][ so I could post it)

  14. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Seems simple enough and I would be satisfied with the rewards, I like the EE concept of it too. Only problem I have with the raid is that it relies on everyone who casted to be active for every second of the whole raid. If 50 people cast you can bet not everyone will finish their bar, and if people casted their alts there is no way they will finish those item bars in 60s.

Edit: A suggestion to that problem is maybe 60% of people have to clear their bar

  15. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Whoa. You must have spent a lot of time on this. I think this is epic, however, even hardcore gamers have rl commitments sometimes. I think that to beat those bars, something like 9/10 people have to complete it. That way there is less butthurt when someone helplessly has to answer the phone, or change a diaper, or answer a boss. Otherwise, I would love to see this implemented and would love to participate (if I ever win a war and get EE 1)

  16. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Yes the images are much better Op, thanks.

  17. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

Nice thread id say support but most of kaw doesnt like ee how it is now me included.

  18. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

You sir, have a lot of free time 
Good idea, but I'm not sure how it can be implemented without fixing the ee wars

  19. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

His pea sized brain can't comprehend your idea... Much support, very well thought out and nice designs, would be nice to see this

  20. Re: I present to you a new concept to KaW; Raiding.

No support. Shark eb is better.
