A story of a drug addict helped by a very nice person, the book is realistic fiction, people with extacy die with this problem everyday, this story shows they can improve if they truely try their hardest.

Please do not post here, I will soon make a feedback thread.

    Chapter One
I soon woke to a loud beeping in my room the sound booming around me. My alarm clock I thought, I left my alarm clock set on a weekend. I hit the off button and forced myself to al least try to get back to sleep, my body had refused, I sat up and moaned. I needed more sleep, I rubbed my eyes and slowly proped myself up straighter. I slowly stood upon my feet and pulled the blinds up to look outside, the break of morning splattered across the sky. Blue patterns filled it with average sizes of clouds splotched all in random places up high. I walked around my bed and to the door grasping the door lightly I slid it open and stumbled down the steps. I walked to couch and tossed myself on the puffed cushion.
"Your up early, Kat." my mother said looking up from her laptop neatly proped on her lap.
"I couldn't get back to sleep." I said laying my head on the pillow next to me.
"Well, if you want to wake up, go get me the mail." I pushed myself up and grabbed a jacket from the closet near and forced myself outside to the cool crisp weather of fall. Fall, I though my favorite season, when you get to start grabbing a nice sweater and sit down with a nice cup of tea, coffee or maybe even some hot chocolate. I walked outside to feel the chill slithering down my spine, mom was right. This woke me up. I walked my bare feet down out cold driveway, it was so cold, it seemed so long walking this way. I finally had made it to the mail box, I had took a peek across the street while I did, and I noticed, the Heck's cars were not here, new cars, two of them to be spacific, one grey and small and one a big red van. At the top of the door a sign read, The Kallen's. I ran inside as soon as I had took a good look and got the mail, I couldn't have beared to stay in this weather any longer. I came inside to a warm house and my mother in the kitchen writing something down in here little grocery list pad. She had looked up at me and I gave her the mail.
"Did the Heck's move?" I asked sitting at a chair by the island counter top.
"Yup, man where have you been?" she asked smiling at me, I smiled back.
"Busy I guess." I answered back starring at the window as if nobody had moved there, had been living there for a while now.

  2. Chapter Two
I soon saw a boy about my age, walking out with a cigarette walking to the mail box as I did before, I looked at what I was wearing, good enough, I thought. He looked about my age, seventeen maybe a little older, one year older or so. I walked outside and went in the car to grab my book, I needed a reaso to be out there to meet him, he was pretty cute, I wanted to take this chance. I walked back to the door kind of afraid to say anything though, I would sound dessprate talking to him like a freak, hi I'm Kat! I'm seventeen! How old are you! I ran it through in my mind, deffenetly to dessprate, I'll wait until he comes to me, we have to meet eventually. As I reached for the door I heard a voice behind me,
"Hey! Don't be rude, I mean, we are neighbors after all." he said, I turned my body and smiled warmly to him as he did the same. He sat at the curb now with his mail in a pile next to him. I started to get cold once again, yet he wore a white t- shirt with black jeans and some socks. I walked to my curb and sat.
"Sorry, I can seem very pushy sometimes, I wouldn't want to make someone do something they wouldn't want to do." he sad puffing out a puff of smoke from the cigarette as he breathed, he soon through it to the ground and stomped and squished it to put it fully out.
"I don't mind, Im Kat." I said setting the big book aside from me.
"Im Taylor, nice to meet you." he said biting his lip.
"How old are you? If your seventeen, we may go to the same school." I said to him smiling at his wonderful face, I couldn't help it, I was just so giddy.
"Yes, I'm seventeen, I'll be going to Cecil Vergasion high school." he said smiling back, in my mind I giggled at that.
"Cool, he's our principal, Cecil Vergasion." I said watching as he admired me making conversation.
"He? Wow, that's a weird name don't you think?"
"Thought it ever since I started going to that school." I said giggling out this time. I watched as he pulled out another cigarette he watched me too.
"I know, it a horrible habit, I can't stop and it's a mistake deffenetly made." he said after lighting shaking his head.
"I understand, some of my friends have gotten into that too, I know the kids who pressure you into it can be pretty convincing." I said starring at the puff he blew out. Just than I had heard a voice coming from the home.
"Taylor! Come on in, your breakfest is ready!" the voice said, sounding like a mother, I knew it was. Who would have said that in that kind of old stressed out mother voice? Nobody.
"Coming! So I'll see you around?" he asked standing and backing up, by this time I was frozen so I stood up ready to go inside too, I nodded and we waved a nice goodbye and so did I.

  3. Chapter Three
I sat at the marble counter top watching as my mother picked at her breakfest with a spoon.
"You know I was never a good cook, if you want breakfest I suggest you whip up some waffles in the toaster." she said with a big giggle and a grin, mother was the shy type, other than me who is outgoing and wanted to meet new people. But when she did get her way to a good friend she was pretty outgoing. She liked to talk about her family when she did get a chance to talk to somebody, the most common thing she will bring up in a conversation will be her kids. She always bragged about us, I never really liked that, she made me sound like a spoiled brat sometimes but the real thing she trys to say is that she's proud of my brothers and I. I sat there still watching as she picked up and twirrled her spoon, I wasn't really hungry watching her try to eat the food shehad made, it was lumpy mushy dried out oatmeal in other words, yuck in a bowl.
"I saw you talking to a boy out on the curb, the new neighbour, right?" she asked finally laying the spoon in the bowl, fed up at the sight of what she has made. I nodded at her question.
"Whats his name?" she asked another question once again.
"Taylor, he seems pretty nice, he smokes." I said raising my eyebrows as I said "he smokes".
"Well, kids at school can be convincing, that happened to me once too, lucky I was able to quit. Do you also know his age? He looks like your age." she said scraping the scum from the bowl into the garbage can then setting down into the empty sink.
"Yea, he says he regrets doing it, and yes he is the same age as me." I could tell mother already didn't like this boy, she tried to keep a warm face though.
"Listen, I don't really like this boy so far but,- I was right she didn't like him. -I don't really know him so well so I can't judge. Just promise me you'll be careful around him?" she said moving her arms up and down as she said this. I nodded looking down.

  4. Chapter Four
I woke to the sound of my alram at six o'clock. It was another stupid school day. I wish I could sleep longer I thought, way to tired to get up. I slowly rolled myself up cold as the bed cover slid off me. I sighed not caring enough to pull the blanket up. I slowly made my way to finally standing up, I slithered to the light switch and flicked the switch up, I soon stretched my body out, by now I was cold enough to care about the temperature in the room. I walked to my drawer and opened it more quickly than when I had gotten up, I looked through my clothes and pulled out a tan mixed with with long sleve shirt with three little unbuttoned buttons at the top of the shirt. I also took out my average blue denim skinny jeans. I through them on and slipped on some socks, and brown converse shoes. Also some dark green and brown long gloves that showed the ends of my fingers and my brown jacket. I grabbed my old back pack from the side of my bed and flung the door open and bolted down the steps right outside my door and to my right. I flicked on the lights as I reached the kitchen, I dropped my bag and went to look through the pantry for breakfest, I had some cerial, my favorite, honey comb of course. After scoffing down my cerial I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and brush my hair. I soon came out and looked at the clock, six twenty five, it was about time to go to the bus stop so I went. I soon reached Kait, Kait was the most annoying girl I knew, all she did was buzz of about her life and how her boyfriend wasn't right for her, why couldn't she just break up with him then? Oh yeah, she says she's way to afraid they he will hurt her, yet she goes off saying bad words about him all the time.
"Hey Kat!" Kait yelled from all the way down the street. I soon reached her and said hi back, she sat down on the curb and began to take out something from the pocket on the side of her backpack. She twisted the cap off it and revealed lip gloss.
"James and I are gonna make Sean mad by kissing all day today, maybe then I won't have to break up with him and he will break up with me!" she said rolling the lip gloss all over her lips.
"Okay, good plan." I said, I really thought she should have just broken up with Sean, she was being an idiot, she nodded as in, "I know it's a great plan!" kind of way. I soon saw Taylor walk out to his driveway and turn to his left toward us. I smiled as he read a paper walking down the street. Soon other girls came to keep Kait company, girls I didn't know. He soon made his destination and sat down. His outfit was grey jeans black sneakers and a black t-shirt. I sat by him on the curb and watched as he pull out a cigarette.
"Hey." I said watching as he turned to me and than slid the box of cigarettes back in his pocket.
"I don't mind, smoke if you need to." I said watching as he smiled at me.
"No, I don't need to." he said looking down and giggling. I tried to compare my smile to his but it just didn't work, his was just so perfect but mine? Wasn't at all.
"I bet your wondering why I take the bus at seventeen right Taylor?" I said laughing.
"No, but I'd like to know the reason."
"My car, the silver one, it broke down, and it only been used for two years." I said pointing at it.
"At least you have a car, I have my license and I drive my mother for her grocery shopping, but I never got a car." he said glancing at mine.
"I also know alot about them, maybe I could fix yours sometime soon?" he said leaning his head down and his eyebrows up. I nodded and smiled.

  9. Chapter Five
I giggled at Casses comment and smiled at her as she spike once more to us by her locker. The bell soon rang and she sighed.
"I'll tell you guys later, after next period meet her if you want to hear the rest of the story." she said pushing her locker shut, I quickly looked through my binder to check if everything was in place for my next class. I soon was finished skimming through the piles and piles of papers in my folders than soon set off for my next class, history class. I hated history class, all seemed so boring to me. If only Mr. Gundling, my sixth grade teacher were here in high school, teaching history. When he taught history I was happy to be in his class, he had always made us laugh to our sides at his jokes, the way he spoke his jokes could make it impossible not to giggle just a bit. I walked at my own pace to history class just when I saw...guess who? Yes, Taylor. I walked quicker now into the average sized yet cluttered classroom, I reached my table and my wooden painted dark brown stool. I sat on it remembering how I feel off it one time because I was sitting on my leg, that was the most embarrassing moment, ever. I sat there watching as Taylor talked to Mr. Hudac figuring out where he sat, assignments and other things that he needed to know. He nodded about two times than flipped through the papers given, Mr. Hudac pointed and it looked as if he said to pick a seat. Taylor looked at me several times and at others, I could tell it was tricky to find a seat, there was no reason why it just was. He soon walked to the seat beside me and sat in it making a creaking noise as he pulled himself and the chair closer to the long table. He smiled at me and than took out a pencil to get to work. I listened to the lesson as Taylor filled out certain papers and things he missed. First was a test, he was tested on things that he didn't know, we all had to take it. It was annoying because we didn't know anything from this test. Our teacher told us e would take this test again at the end of the year to see how much we had improved from the test. I had thanked God it was over after we had taken the long thing, I felt bad for Taylor, him struggling trying to figure it out.

About an hour later the bell rang, signaling all of us to leave an go to our next class, Taylor still wasn't finished with the test. I didn't blame him, it was confusing and frustrating to figure out, also trying to do the best of your ability when you didn't know a thing. I walked out with him hearing him sigh with relief it was over, well for that day. I giggled and followed him to his locker.
"What are you doing today?" I asked he looked surprised that when we had just met I was already asking him to hang out.
"Nothing, why?" he asked opening the locker.
"I figured we could get to know eachother and maybe you could help me out with my car a little, if you do you'll get free rides whenever you want, just nothing rediculous." I said smiling, he nodded and I couldn't wait for the rest of the day. Me, working with the cutest guy ever.

  11. Chapter 6
It was almost the end of the day, it was just what I wanted, finally. Today was the day I would be working on a car with Taylor. Ahh Taylor, he had a kind of radiance to his eyes and teeth. His eyes were a bright bright blue and his teeth were surpirsingly a nice white due to the fact he smoked. It was kind of sad. What if we had became more than friends? I would lay my lips on smoke dried out tasting weird lips. I guess I wouldn't care.

I slammed my locker shut after shoving book, after book in my small bag. I turned around to Taylor.
"Will you sit with me on the bus? I don't know much people here, can you." he asked kind of shy like. I thanked God he couldn't read minds because well, he would have heard all of that, how embarassing. I nodded and walked with him holding onto the top strap to my bag, it was horribly rainy outside so I pulled my hood up and sighed before walking out the door.
"Crap, isn't this lovely whether were having?" he asked sarcasticly than he grabbed my hand and we both ran. I tried to keep up with him but as soon as he saw I was wearing high heels he slowed down a little. Maybe he would have picked me up but that was only the second day we ever talked, we barley knew eachother at all. We each ran on the bus and grabbed a seat in the back away from some of my other friends, just so Taylor and I could talk. I guess I wanted him to myself, I would let another slut take Damiane away from me. Damiane was my boyfriend until this slut came up and stole him from me, I don't even remember her name. I guess I toned her out the whole time so much I just completely forgot about her, believe it or not I barley remember her face. I sat with him not knowing what to say than at some point he finally spoke breaking the silence.
"Im happy to do the car with you." he said
"Your happy to work?" I asked laughing.
"Yea your right, I can't find anything to say." he said laughing, I looked up at him and smiled the whole way we didn't talk until we got to the bus stop. Since there wasn't much to talk about what was the point of him working on my car if it's going to be the most boringest thing ever? I'd bet he'd rather play video games or something.
"Listen, you don't have to come and work on the car. It will probably be pretty boring for you, especially in this whether." I said getting up while he stood too.
"Well you have a garage in your house, can we work there?" he said as we both got off.
"Well yes but are you sure you want to come? You don't have to I dont want to make you do this."
"Are you trying to change my mind?" he asked giggling.
"Well, yes if you don't want to do it, no if you don't." I said stopping, he stopped too.
"Good than it's settled, I'll be over soon to meet the family and work on the car." he said walking home, I nodded kind of confused and walked home too.
