Ok so this is my new story; Help Me, Hades. Hopefully this one goes well (hopefully the italics work!) and please use the feedback thread! Prologue. Dear diary, Today has been the most horrific day! First a test was called off, then we didn't get any homework all day! After that, I couldn't even pick up a book from the library because it was shut. To top it all off, I had to walk home in the freezing rain! I do love school though! I don't have many friends, but it doesn't matter to me. As long as I have five lessons a day, nothing matters to me! Soon, mother is going to go and take me to get some new glasses. My ones are getting awfully dirty! But this amulet I have to wear now! Ever since I turned sixteen, I have to keep this peculiar amulet on my person at all times. It is on a leather cord and it is almost made out of sandstone with some odd hieroglyphic inscribed into it. Oh, I've got to go now! Dinner is ready. Love, Lizzie. Elizabeth Elsen, or Lizzie, looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't like what she saw. Lizzie constantly wore jeans and a jumper, and she constantly carried a backpack with Batman on it. The jumper constantly had Snoopy or Barney or Elmo or another character on it, and Lizzie constantly wore big, geeky glasses. As you can tell, she was an all rounder geek. And she loved it.
Chapter 1 "You WHAT?" shrieked Tatyana Stark. "Urgh. Are you deaf? I said that I think that Paris Hilton is a worthless *****, who feeds off of fame and money, both of which are a result of her dad." Lizzie explained slowly. Someone with as little brain cells as Tatyana Stark took longer to process information. Tatyanas eyes slowly began to widen. "FYI, Paris Hilton has worked diligently in her career, and has therefore EARNT her place in the world of fame." Lizzie scoffed. "Yeah, sure." How did Tatyana even know what diligently meant anyway? "Well, I don't know how you would have any clue." Tatyana said, raking her eyes up and down Lizzies body critically, with an eyebrow raised. Lizzie rolled her eyes. "Whatever." And began to walk off. The whole school knew about Lizzie Elsen and Tatyana Stark. The whole school knew about their cat fights. The whole school knew they were complete and utter enemies. Tatyana and her followers - Roxanne, Tia, Katie, Rosanne and Annabelle - stared after Lizzie in disgust. "Honestly, Tatty," one of the girls wondered aloud. "Why DO you put up with her? Why not just ignore her?" "Because, Tia. Just because." *** Hope you don't get this text in class! Anyway, just wanted to make sure that there's no soccer training today? If there isn't, you know where I'll be Love, Tatty xoxoxo Kale smiled as he read the text Tatyana had sent him. He was just about to reply back, when he heard his Geography teachers voice. "Mr. Luna. Will you please stop texting in my lesson?" Mr. Grayson requested. "I wasn't even looking at my phone sir!" Kale protested innocently. "I may not know much about young students these days," Mr. Grayson commented with a smirk. "However, I do know that no pupil smiles down at their crotch for no apparent reason. So please, put your phone away, or I'll take it for you." Kale rolled his eyes, and tucked his phone into the pocket of his jeans. "Thank you." The lesson continued. Slowly, Kales eyes began to drift closed. *** Kale slammed his tray down on the table, and sat down in his seat. "What's up, babe?" Tatyana asked, picking at her salad. "I got an after school detention, and I have soccer training after school as well." "Ouch, man." Evan commented. "That's harsh." "Yeah, it is." Kale glared at him. "I don't need you to remind me." The table fell silent. Seriously, this table they were all sitting at, it was actually called 'THE Table'. It was THE table to sit at. If you sat there for lunch, you knew that you were popular. The popular crowd was Tatyana, Roxanne (her sidekick, in a way), Tia, Katie, Rosanne, Annabelle, Kale, Evan, Noah and Sam. Annabelle turned around to stare at Lizzie. "I wonder what her life is like. She's so lonely." Annabelle almost felt sorry for her. "Yeah. Why do you care?" Tatty snapped. The atmosphere turned sour. Almost everyone was in a bad mood when they stood up to leave. Everyone reached the spot of grass where they always hung out, dumped their bags and sat down. Nobody talked for a while, but finally someone made a move. "What have we got this afternoon?" Rosanne asked. This got the conversation flowing. Soon, the tension was gone. *** Lizzie sat eating her Tikka Chicken sandwich, staring into space. She hated Tatyana. She really did. One day, revenge would be hers. One day.
