handling in-game inflation idea!

  1. So noticeably like any economy, this game has it's own and the desire to earn more gold is the forefront of this game.

Earn gold/upgrade buildings and buy allies. The ally market takes a huge inflation whenever a bonus plunder event comes around we shell out money buy seals and xtals.

So next lands we are looking at 2 trill a land this is over fluctuation of the market with gold forcing prices up.

Now for my idea, we all know quests those things we do for the free xtals. Crap gold payout and generally once you've finished all of them they are just are just a button you never look at again.

Well the chances of a single nob drop is incredibly rare so reasons to use quests after completion is redundant.

What if the rare nob drop offered3,5,8 and 10 nobs at random say 3-5% chance of dropping.

So hindering the gold on the market earning 7 mil gold per quest wasting troops on the chance of a free troop regen slowing the market increase exponentially.

Would you guys do the quests with a chance of increased nobs?

I do think this could be an addition that would be great for the game.

    Tldr: post on another topic

  2. What about the massive purchases of SoD resulting from this?

  3. on another topic

  4. So i assume its 3-5% of the .1% chance?

    i like the idea.

  5. The nobility drop isn't that bad actually I mean come on at least we have the drop most games have a currency u can only get only by paying for.

  6. That is true, but you can unload troops on the first quest and only get a nob every 3 hours.

I rather like the prospect of a 3-5% chance of each time i get a nob, i could get 5-10 of them.

  7. I get about 5 nobs a day, and i dont even unload troops much. But like the idea. Support

  8. 5% quests per unload.
Odds are you're going to win 1-2x during that unload. Assuming 5, 8 and 10 nobs all have equal probibility, you're going to have more more than 1 xtal per unload. More free unloads means more unloads on eb, more unloads = more gold in market.

Assume twice as bad for 10% chance of nob drops

  9. I just say increase drop rate

  10. Increasing the drop rate wouldn't be the point it would still have to be hard to get hence the little chance for drop.

  11. I've actually purchased a SoD with nobs earned entirely from questing

  12. Even if this were the case, it doesnt actually solve the issue. Most players xstal on eb's paying out 80m+ a hit.

These free regens as you are essentially giving them allow them to, in essence, get even more people crystalling and flooding the market with more gold.

Honestly the only people who would actually use this were those who didn't want to spend on crystals a lot. For many it seems good, allowing players with low xstals to war, allowing free players to buy propacks and such, but in the end things would just end up worse.

You're basically giving the usage of crystals a wider net, allowing more people to use crystals and thereby allowing more gold to be generated. People who can pay for crystals don't and won't was time on this, they would just buy crystals for their regens.

The intention was good but the idea is massively flawed.

  13. But it's not as if every unload offers you free nobs I'd imagine the rage for doing 200 quests an no nob drops at all. It's hardly a guarantee for nobs.

  14. True, however what you are proposing makes it far easier and far more likely for a player without crystals to be getting free regens and as a result fast gold which may have taken 7 or 8 more hours to earn by just hitting an eb normally.

The people you are trying to target with this idea won't use it, is my point. The ones you aren't trying to target will be using it non-stop.

  15. The only issue with inflation is new ppl not being able to easily find allies. Why not just remove the need for allies / max plunder and just keep allies for bfa?

And maybe just divide EVERYTHING by 100 as someone else mentioned.

    Big numbers rock though.

  16. Well given that I said 3,5,10 as random drops it would be weighted more on the 3 and 5 more so than 10 so it's not necessarily free regens it would indeed be more of an odd occasion of gaining one. Unless people got incredibly lucky it's an addition that would offer more variation to the game as well quests are there but become useless after completion.

  17. @ OP and all players that have started after 2010,

There is an old "secret" the secret that there is a quest LB. And did you know that the higher # of quests you do the more likely nob drops?
For instance my owner has 36k quests done. He gets at least 1 nob per bar on quests now.

  18. I was lucky enough once, to get 2 nobility points on a 78% unload.
Normally if I always unload on quests, I would get at least 1 nobility point per day.
