Guidance Needed - Purchasing Allies

  1. Pardon what may be a "stupid" question, but I am about a week into playing KAW and am looking for guidance regarding what allies to purchase. If this is covered in pre-existing thread I apologize, I was not able to find it.

    Purchasing Allies.

I've heard "plunder bonus" should be the determining factor in who to purchase. However, I play on my iphone and the time it takes to check the plunder bonus on each prospective ally is too tedious and time consuming. Maybe I'm SOL, or perhaps missing some shortcut to researching this.

Currently my goal is to accrue $20m so I can make my next land purchase. I am maxed out on everything until that happens. I am looking for the best way to reach $20m and beyond.

Do I want to dump my savings into 1 ally with high stats and hope to make a larger profit on the sale or do I acquire several lesser priced allies and volley them? Which is more expedient?

Or should I just try to buy up as many allies as possible and battle for the bonuses?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I'm at the same point as you. I just buy lots of cheap allies for bonuses.

Of course you could get 3million then buy an ally for half that price wait for him to be taken by someone else and find more allies to do the same. Make a nice profit that way.

  3. Unfortunately prices will change over time. So any guides out there will become outdated quickly. The most recent guide is more for high priced allies.

I would avoid any ally below 1.8k combined stats if you want them to sell easily. Even 1.8k stats is a little iffy and won't sell as well somewhere before they reach the 1mil price. I'd suggest searching for people with high stats at cheap prices. There are always some out there.

  4. The lower the ally price, the quicker it will be bought. If you are active and don't care about being farmed then go with smaller priced allies but in bulk, these will get bought fast though.

I'm not sure the formular but when you attack someone if your 'plunder' ends in a 0 it is maxed and you should stop buying allies, once maxed keep buying allies if they get bought from you and attack other players until you make your goal of 20,000,000 gold.

If you need any help hola me up on my wall 

  5. Much appreciated guys. Thanks for your time.

I don't know if this was smart or not, but I sold off a few tier 1 buildings and replaced them with forges to help up my stats. I felt I became way overpriced for my current stats, but am kinda stuck in a rut. I need 100m for my next piece of land. :(

  6. The ally plunder bonus depends on how expensive the ally is and does not depend on the stats of the ally. Therefore, of you are looking to maximize the plunder bonus, the best way is to buy an ally very cheap and volley it up. If the ally does not have good stats, nobody will buy it away from you, and you will keep your plunder bonus. Also, you make money from the volley, and so you do not need people to hire the ally away from you to make money.

  7. I agree with 24dude, after looking at several potential allies, you'll find your spending about 210 gold for 1 gold of plunder bonus. This is from a sampling going up to 20M.

Few of the sample had any more attack defense than a player just starting, so buying anything other than someone with the lowest price seems like a waste as you'll get less of the attack and defense bonus for the coin, even though it's tiny to start with anyway.

  8. Hehe, guess the devs never truly solved the "I can only find crappy allies" issue.

  9. Has no-one noticed the date of this thread?
