Gold Transferal through Volleying

Discussion in 'Strategy' started by Zarpar, Jan 9, 2013.

  1. I was doing some calculations to find out how much money can be transferred between two players when they are volleying an ally as there didn't seem to be any guides. My results were as follows (this hasn't been tested yet):

Players A and B have 2mil out each.

Player A hires an ally for 1mil from Player C. Player A now has 1mil.

Player B hires this ally for 1,050,000.
Player A gets the 1mil back and makes 16,000.

Player A hires the same ally back for 1,102,500.
Player B gets the 1,050,000 back and makes 16,800.

Player B rehires the same ally for 1,157,625.
Player A gets 1,102,500 back and makes 17,640.

Player A hires the ally for 1,215,506.
Player B gets 1,157,625 back and makes 18,522.

    Now, Player A has 818,134 , having lost 1,181,866. However, Player B has 2,035,322 , having received 35,322.

This means Player A has transferred 35,322 to Player B but also had to pay 1,146,644.

I hope this may be of some interest and feel free to correct me in places if I am wrong. I will post the results of any other experiments I do here also.

    Thank you for reading

  2. Reserved for updates

  3. Wow nice calculations, and yeah that's the way it works. The ally price goes up by 3% of its last price. And you make 1.5% more profit on whatever you paid in the first place for the ally.

  4. I think it's 1.5% profit and 3% increase. I read that in forums somewhere.

  5. Hardly gold transfer if you pay 1m to transfer 35k

  6. It's an example jaz don't be an ass

  7. Wasn't it an increase of 5% per hire? I mean, when you hire a 10k ally its price goes up by 500 which would suggest it's 5%

  8. In order to xfer 1b it costs roughly 10b from an alt to do

  9. Player A lost 32.46 times the amount Player B gained.

  10. @emprorjoel

I used 5% increase and 1.6% profit (I think it is actually 1.58%) for these calculations

  11. The loss is actually very negligible if you do the transfer right

  12. Not a lost as long as you dont drop the ally usd to volley...

  13. If you don't drop..it's not really a transfer, it's a volley 

  14. @-JM-

I know, but I did this to see if it is viable to transfer money say from a main to alt using this method.

  15. I would also like to point out that Player A still has the ally, meaning there is a very small loss. Once this ally is hired away, Player A will not have lost much.

  16. I know zarpar, just replying to the one suggesting 3% increase

  17. You gotta find good allies though.

  18. Actually. By your math. Both players would've gained. (Shocker ). This is called ally trading. Much different than gold transferring.

  19. It takes forever to transfer.....

  20. @lickey not really this is just an small scale example
