Going Incognito – VERSION 1.0 Let me start by telling you what this Forum post is about. Going Incognito. It is impossible to delete your account so I’m showing you the next best thing. In this thread I am going to list the steps you can take to hide yourself from other players. This can be useful when you are being farmed, got your self in deep with a lot of players, and even getting out of an OSW (though you would be pressing your luck). Then I will also tell you some tips and tricks on how to track someone trying to hide from you. For the sake of keeping this thread open to everyone we must assume that the person(s) you are hiding from/hunting down could be absolutely anyone. Example: Clan Owner, Clan Mate, Enemy Clan, Farmer. . .ect. Don't try using any of this information to hide yourself from a Moderator. All Moderators know how to track you and you should not and could not hide yourself from them. Ways To Hide Your Tracks #1 Resetting. This is the best way to hide yourself. Of course most people don't fancy resetting their account. Thankfully most perks of resetting can be imitated. Here are a few that cannot. -You can't change your flag color. Make sure to change your flag if you do decide to reset. -The tracker may know your build. This problem can be avoided, but you don’t get as bold a change. -Free name change Always leave your clan before resetting, or if you are friends of a clan Admin have them kick you so the other clan Admins and clan Owner won’t get notifications letting them know you left the clan. :!: Warning :!: You lose all Equipment, Aqua, Inferno, and Mithril when you reset and of course, you must rebuild your kingdom from scratch. You keep propacks, crystals, nob points, and if your castle was upgraded you can still access the Alchemist/Mage accordingly. Resetting does not remove a silence or reset the number of times you have been silenced  #2 Name Change. Getting yourself a name change is the most important part of hiding yourself. If you don't want to reset then pay 20 nobs and get that name changed. Note that changing your name also changes your name in the EB history, but does not change it on previously posted wall posts or WC/CC/AC posts. Don’t make your new name too similar to your previous one. #3 Wall Posts. Never post on another’s wall, especially a foe. This is an extremely easy way for someone to track you. If you’ve already done this, bite your tongue and hope the hunter(s) tracking you never see it. If you’ve posted on a close friend’s wall you could always ask them to delete the post. #4 Your Wall. Delete all wall posts from your own wall and take down your banner. This can be sad, and it isn't always necessary, but chances are it is. If your hunter(s) come across your re-created self, whether they are looking for you or find you by random encounter, they may recognize your wall. #5 Change up your build some. This might require you to sell several buildings, and you may not have the cash to rebuild. Don't sweat it. Build some temporary Guilds to avoid having empty lands and save up the cash. Changing your build is only necessary if you have decided not to reset. #6 Here is my personal favorite. Force people to unfollow you. Do this to anyone you don't completely trust. This is done by blocking them, then unblocking them a minute later. They won't receive any kind of notification letting them know you are no longer friends. Even if you are not friends they might be following you purely for the purpose of keeping an eye on you. #7 Play Dead. Easy, all you have to do is shut up. Don’t speak in WC/CC/AC, don’t hit the EB, don’t respond to hits by retaliation. Do this for a few hours before your name change to help hide your tracks. You can use this time to prepare. Know exactly what you are going to do step by step so that you can become invisible all at once. Hunting Your Victim #1 Block them! This is the easiest way to track someone. If there is someone who you think just might try to hide from you (who knows why  ) block them. No matter what they do they can't get themselves off your blocklist. If they change their name the name on your blocklist will also change. Some people have huge blocklists and there isn’t really a good way to navigate them. If you are persistent though there is a good chance you can find your victim. #2 Follow them. This is essentially the same concept as using the blocklist except not as affective. A lot of people have tons of friends. For this reason try looking for people you follow that haven’t followed you back. If you can't find them chances are they have changed their name which makes this very difficult. Also, using my own trick they may have removed you from your own list of followed players. #3 Epic History. Try Using the EB history to your advantage. If they are smart there name will have changed but most people won’t stop hitting the EB right up until they leave. They might even wait around for it to finish. (Remember, People are Greedy  ) #4 Wall Posts. These are great because it is one of the few places you can look for them that their name won’t have changed. Try looking at their Clan Owner’s and Admin’s walls. That is a great place to start. #5 Spy. Depending on how much you want to get your hands on this person it could be useful (or perhaps quite fun  ) to have a spy in their clan. Noobs are always complaining in CC and also to anyone else that will listen, you might be able to have some fun messing with them. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my thread as much as I’ve enjoyed making it. If you can think of anything that you think should be added to my list please leave a comment clearly stating your idea. If I feel as though I’ve already covered the topic I’ll leave it as is. VERSION 1.0
If you are skilled enough, you will find most are noobs. Thus why I wrote this thread. People need to read the second part.
