Simple Thing- Whenever someone quotes me anywhere around forums..I should get a notification When i open the forums tab that- "x person quoted You On 'y' Thread"
Why Do You guys think it's a low effort thread.. Its a very simple idea-Why make description complicated..I am pretty sure anyone who reads it would understand what this thread Means.. Btw all the other work was left for the devs to do..Since they dont usually Apply any of these ideas even if they are very very high effort..
Devs don't control KaW forums. They use other people to control their forum codes and updates and such.
It's not that they created forums and hired people to work them. THE FORUMS ARENT KAW DEVOLPED. That's why we had to wait years for a forum update. They have to ASK the forum people to do something. And HOPE they get around to responding. AND THEN the have to work with them to try the ability to even do this. It's not "yo. Do this". So. How about you go ahead and educate yourself before posting with your blah blah ditzy little response. Ok?
Ah the joy of an outsourced forum. Still could be worse, at least this one works well for the most part.
Just to clarify, the forum software is indeed made by a separate company but we're the ones who run them. Pretty much every single forum out there follows this system. Some things are easier to do (changing themes, adding post counts, etc), and some things would be pretty close to impossible (making a way to alert you in game if someone quotes you) as the forums don't have any sort of features to support that kind of thing.
To add to what community said - when you quote anyone it is simply a fancy bbcode so has no link to specific profiles in any way at all, making alerts nigh-on impossible
On top of that other forum software is available but why outsource to other software when you already have a decent one already. It's not that hard to check the forums every now and then to see if threads you were active in have progressed.
The devs didnt code forums. This would be a good thing to have, but I don't see it as possible because devs dont manage the code.
