I'm 5,11",173 lbs,and 20 years old,and I really want abs,I'm skinny with a little bit of chest fat,and fat covering my abs on my stomach,I walk the track about once a week for 1 hour, and I do 100 push-ups every 4 days,I eat anywhere from 2000-3000 calories a day, usually being foods such as,tuna, eggs, fries, sandwiches, cheeseburgers, hotpockets, and sometimes chicken and ice cream, could any of you fit guys give me tips on what I should do or change in my lifestyle so I can see my abs,thanks...Titanium-J
Do 50 push-ups a day, 50sit ups, and do planks until u can't stay up and just keep eating healthy and jog around the track don't walk
Also, don't use elevators unless you have to, use the stairs, and run up and down them too, it's entertaining and keeps you fit. Volunteer and/or try to organize a sports competition in work, like a football/soccer game. Then try to cut snacks between meals and up your main meal size, like have a bit of extra chicken rather than a chocolate bar or a packet of crisps, and a bit cheaper. (Optional, but it did the job for me) get a dog, so you have to go out for a jog every day, as a dog will make a nice reminder AND a nice running partner. Hope I helped, I tried to make all my suggestions fun, easy to do and cheap, I hope you reach your fitness goals!
I cut from about 205 lbs (6'2") down to 170 two years ago by doing lots of cardio, cutting out fast food, and eating lots of fruit and salad. It's primarily your diet, no matter how much you work out you're not going to have abs if it's covered in a layer of fat. Had some nice abs but it was miserable. Sitting around 190 lbs now.
I have something even better, don't worry about your appearance and live happily, it's what I do P.S: I'm 5'11 250, and play American football for both the city and for my school, despite my size i can still outrun and out-endure most people half my size whether it's running, pushups, planks or practically any form of exercise (mainly non-athletes) I don't see my abs but I know I have them so idc
5'10 and 180 similar as you. I've been bench pressing about 50 pounds not including the bar, pull-ups 10 sets of 10, 50 crunches, 50 leg ups and 5 sets of 30 sec planks. I will add in some running soon I do this 2x a week and will probably try to make it 3-4 times a week. Eating habits, I eat what I want but keep it in moderation. For breakfast I eat cereal, lunch a sandwich or pizza, and dinner always eat rice, some days meat other days veggies,
Its true what they say. Abs are made in the kitchen. Just run and eat healthy for abs. Im 6'2 220. I lift every other day. Run the days i dont lift and mtn bike everyday. But still a keg no abs bc i eat what i want. It's truly a food thing. But you dont need abs to b fit. Im pretty built and eat everything i want. Best way to go op
And technically everyone has abs u just can't always see them, getting rid of the fat or layer That's covering it will help
IF YOU ARE 5'11 173 LB YOU SHOULD BE LOSING WEIGHT, NOT GAINING! This workout routine won't work! You have to do heavy benchpress and squat. Also, cheeseburgers and fries aren't a good way to gain muscle, choose lean meat patties and baked potato.
Weight lifting is not healthy it just kills your joints and you will get arthritis when you get older.
Best bodyweight exercises would be chin-ups, pullups, dips, squats, and muscle ups! Always increase the number of reps you do, this will challenge your muscles and you will get stronger!
