I, like so many others enjoy reading fan fiction. I just find it annoying when I try to find my favorites how it's completely swamped with mediocre stories. I would suggest a search feature for fan fiction archives. Also another thing that may be annoying to the fan fiction authors themselves is how anyone can hop on their thread and troll. Authors should be able to lock and unlock the threads they make to stop this completely. What would also be nice is if players could actually rate fan fiction stories (1-10 1-5 stars ect.) this could highlight the most interesting stories. I like this idea a lot. Except the rating. Ratings would make the new writer's feel less inclined to write because of low ratings, as well as allow trolls to make stories get low ratings and discourage writers.
Fan Fiction isn't special. you deserve no authority to lock and unlock your threads. you have to deal with "trolls" just like everyone else. mediocre stories? I agree, 99% of garbage posted here is utter nonsense. just like what you've written. crap. a bunch of delusional self proclaimed "writers" that are fooling themselves.
@d_Bo If you think they all suck then why are you in the fan fiction section anyways? Btw the ratings thing is probably not the best idea... Maybe voting on the best stories to have them featured

OP, this can easily be achieved by making your own website/blog. Anyone who has been around the KaW forums for longer than a few months knows the reality of what you'll have to put up with when submitting new threads and posts. D_bo, I speak only for myself when I say this: That's a load of BS, but cool story anyway. FanFic is not special in any way. It's simply that most people won't bat an eye at people who post their stuff here, for various reasons. I mean, who would post regularly in a place for writers when I could be in OffTopic discussing which flavored Moose is better? We only came up with a "constitution" because it was a small group at the time who ever actually posted here often: Me Irin FeatherHunter iZaln Bastion(maybe?) Storallelite And about five others. In such a small, ignored place, it's easy to establish a constitution of sorts.
Why to make me feel loved Cheese. You used Bastion (who is a legend) but has posted in FF for what? 6-10 months? iZaln (also a leg) but who posts once every one or two months for a bit. I miss both of them though. D:
I think both of the top ones are good, but the last would make writers have low self-esteem. It would batter their confidence if some person persisted on giving it a low rating, which would therefore lower the overall rating of the story. However, I can see much thought has been put into this post. Maybe speak to the devs or use the email. I think that some people should just get over themselves. Maybe some people aren't as good at writing as others. This does NOT mean that people can just pull their story to pieces and batter their confidence. I think everybody should be given their chance; not many people have been allowed that *everyone turns to stare at haters/d_Bo* Okay, I'm done moaning -Swag x
if you're looking for a more friendly audience of critics then post your stories on a proper writers forum of some sort. not the lonely little section on a war game apps forums.
@d_Bo To be honest, this forum is called 'Fan Fiction'. Forgive me if I am mistaken, but I had always been under the impression that 'Fan Fiction' means stories, pieces of writing, the like. Many players of KaW post their stories here. Everyone is talented in their own way; maybe some are not blessed with as many writing skills as others. This does not mean they should be shot down immediately. It is clear, d_Bo, that you do not have such skills. Otherwise, you would be writing your own 'masterpieces' instead of shooting down everyone else's. Even if they are attempting it, at least they have inspiration. I'm not going to sign off. A post of this negativity does not deserve to be signed off.
every time one of you return to the argument that 'you probably can't write' mantra, I'll say again for the fifth time. No, I do not have any creative writing talent nor any desire to write a story. I'm not interested whatsoever. And the writers were given this section because nobody wanted this garbage listed in Active Topics. you got your own section so you could role play and write horrible stories together in the reserve privacy of this section. outcasts and failures of the 7th degree emo.
<3 Yeah a search/rating thing would be useful. Or maybe dbo could stop bumping 'rubbish' ff pieces so the good ones rise to the top.
