I recently have gotten a new laptop and was wondering if fallout New Vegas is a decent game on pc and if the mods for it make the game any better or any worse, also I have alittle money to spend on steam if you know any good games to try I will check them out
I loved Fallout: New Vagas. Just watch out for the sex robots. Seriously, that and the ghouls are disgusting. I never played the modded version but overall the game was great. If you've never played Bethesda games before it might take some time to get used to the learning curve where you encounter enemies who will destroy you in one swipe of their claws (what's their name again?). But it's a great game, and I heard Fallout 3 is amazing as well. If you want mods, and a newer/more refreshing game, get Skyrim. Srsly
Fallout 3 and Vegas both excellent worth playing and I think it was death claws and yeah stay the heck away from them very nasty.
Then get Skyrim. I saw a thread last week on Reddit with a few of the top mods that refresh the look and update the graphics. Forgot what their names were, but those graphics were AMAZING. One of them was like "Oil Painting"? Something reminiscent of an oil painting, I don't know. I recommend before modding that you Google which mods to download. Don't screw your computer up. Plus Bloatware sucks.
Ahh that's their name. There's this old oil mining place that's all sandy on the way to the Vegas Strip (it blocks the direct road) that's ******* filled with them. I visited that place later in the game with 50cal Sniper Rifle, pretty much maxed out stealth, downed a drug that gives you 99% accuracy, and popped off their heads one by one with complete Critical Hit fatal accuracy. Then when the Moth- Never mind. I'll let you explore it yourself. But New Vegas was awesome. I don't recommend that you play it without your parents letting you; it's pretty damn violent. ^Obligatory disclaimer.
Lol I crept around the plateaus close overlooking the main drill/Crain in the middle and picked them off. Of course I didn't go super close, but I didn't hide in far away hills. Honestly though, that was one of the coolest places in the game IMO.
