Submissions must be new, original work that has not been previously published. Any references made within the work to others must be credited and noted. 2. All submissions must be received on January 21st 3. Submissions must be about Kaw and will be judged upon their clarity, accuracy, and relevance to Kaw. Consideration will also be given to the contemporary nature of the topic, the overall readability of the story/song/quote/poem, as well as the writing skill of the author. 4. You can submit for any and every category, but, can only submit one story/poem/song/quote. 5. Finalists will be notified by this thread. 6. Winners will be determined by player. Readers will be able to vote for only one story/song/poem/quote. 7. Winners will be announced on (??) 8. Only I and the Devs will know who wrote what as for the judges to stay impartial. 9. Blah, Blah. 10. Have fun! [title2]Criticism[/title2] 1. You should attempt to re-express your target’s position so clearly, vividly, and fairly that your target says, “Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it that way." 2. You should list any points of agreement. 3. You should mention anything you have learned from your target. Only then are you permitted to say so much as a word of rebuttal or criticism. 4. Describing the work, assume the audience has not and will not view the piece and that you are the sole mediator for their understanding of it's formal qualities. 5. Evaluating the work. This is, perhaps, the most difficult critical task, yet it is usually the one to which most people skip when criticizing a work of art. To thoughtfully evaluate a work of art, you must determine what your criteria are for judging its relative worth or effectiveness. Only you can provide this information. Explain why you feel the way you do. "Thumbs up" or "thumbs down" will not cut it. And remember, you do NOT want to criticize to the point that the writer gives up or is ashamed of his/her own writing. Be respectful. [title2]How this will work[/title2] Once sign up ends, I will message those signed up for each category. (That agreed to the rules and guidelines.) After two weeks, you will submit your work in to me and I will give it to a panel of unknown readers to review. They will evaluate the submissions and a majority vote will cut those least favored. After all that, then the finale three stories/songs/poems/quotes will have a thread, made my me, placed in FanFiction. Players will then be able to vote ON THE THREAD. YOU CAN ONLY VOTE ONCE PER CATEGORY. The voting will be on and will run for a week. Prizes -
Re: KWC 2.0 UPDATE 2/19/15: Hello, I apologies to those who have signed up and have already turned in works to me. My iPhone stopped charging and I have been limited in playing for a good bit. Anyways, the event will still go as planned with the Devs still giving out rewards. Sign ups will be from now, 2/19/15, to 2/25/15. Those who wants to participate will have one week to finish their works and will turn it in 3/5/15. Please, after you sign up, follow me. If you want to be a judge, PM me.
Re: KWC 2.0 Last time, LoveAndrea won both the story and poems competition. She will only be allowed to judge. You can only be one. A participant or a judge. That being said, almost anyone can be a reviewer. Being a judge is harder to be.
Re: KWC 2.0 Don't have a vote on it. The average person wouldn't recognize good quality writing if it slapped her in the face.
