Event Idea

  1. I have an event idea. Since Eb's are what's making this game die off, like what happened when quests were added to Meego, what if we did an event where you could get tiny little rewards for doing the EB portion and tiny little rewards for doing the PvP portion but in order to get the big rewards you have to do both of them. Like let's say you need Piece 1 and Piece 2 to combine and create Item 1. Piece 1 drops from Epic Battles and Piece 2 drops only from PvP. This would encourage players to PvP so they can get their event items!

    Can you read? It says that you need 2 pieces to make the 1 event item, like we already have. 1 of the 2 pieces drops ONLY from PvP.

  10. It's an interesting thought! I like the idea of trying to connect the other avenues of play, like Player vs Player and Wars, by making them a rewarding section of an event.

    Some things I think about: I am concerned about forcing players to do certain things.

    What I mean by that is an event like this makes it required for people who to participate to do those two things. There's little choice or options for players to play the game in the way they want. And that can sometimes be fun, being guided down a path (if the path is set up really well), but sometimes it can be frustrating.

    I would like to build in more choices and options for players. One way I am exploring is making other avenues reward players differently such that they can choose how they would like to grow.
     
  11. The first pvp event was still best imo. All of the game casted automatically, chaos and fun. Bring that back!
    And no 500 items making 1 thing that can't be stolen.
    If not all, maybe the pvp that was present during that 'mind-control' event, when hitting cursed and not cursed players dropped differently.
    Bring back the fun part of PvP events, not just finding an open PS and smacking it
     
  12. A simple fix to the PvP event is possible but a few things need to be looked into first. I think everyone agrees that a target which has more items should pay more. I think most people agree that losing items is beneficial in creating competition and risk so long as the risks are controlled.

    Lets call item A the item that is dropped upon hitting a target. (Can be stolen)
    Lets call item B the item they combine into. (Can't be stolen)

    You need 1000 A in order to make B

    Each A is worth 1 and each B is worth 1000 even if stored which means targets who have high amounts of B will pay well even if they have very few A out.

    This means that once you bank an item you have reached a checkpoint but it also rewards players for hitting the top PvP players. This means that early on hitting a PS will pay well but unless that PS is farming up a lot of items they will quickly not pay enough to remain a viable option.

    Another point is that the amount of A stolen from you or an enemy is dependant on how much A they have out. The amount of A rewarded for hitting an enemy in general is based on size difference as well as the number of items the enemy has . Each B is the equivalent of 1000 A.

    A player with 500 A and 8 B will have a total of 8500 A in total.

    I hope you can make sense of this :p I think this setup would not only reward players for attacking stronger targets but it also prevents hitting open PS or low spy builds in order for "free" items.
     

  13. You mean like being forced to do ebs? because quite frankly.. The blitzes just aren't worth the time and effort required to get anything good out of them.

    PvP as a whole needs a massive overhaul, hit ranges can be ridiculous at some points and need a variable introduced to limit it, rewards for blitzes are just.. Pathetic. There is a whole bunch of stuff (awaiting time to write long thread) that needs to be done.

  15. No support, sorry can't get behind this idea. Charlie said it all when he explained "Forcing a certain playstyle".

    First pure PvP promo was fun & all but the "everyone's a target" without choice lead to majority of players lodging many complaints.

    No one forces anyone to PvE promos & PvP should be treated the same way. The promos where you had PvE & PvP running side by side were great. Only a few things I would have changed.

    1. PvP side either got slightly better rewards.
    2. PvP had less to collect for same rewards.
    3. A PvP plunder bonus was added to the equip.

    Either 1 or 2 but definitely 3. Should be in place. It would encourage PvP while allowing PvE to be left alone. Either offer slightly better rewards (let's face it PvP is harder than PvE) or make PvP goals easier to reach. Allow players to go with both sides as you did with the last promos & let everyone do as they want.

  17. Would also like to see a tiered leader board! 1mc to 10mc 10mc to 20mc and so on! Gives each sized player more encouragement
