ESTOC WAR TRIAL : Immersion to the Future

Discussion in 'Strategy' started by StalkerX, Nov 3, 2012.

  1. Greetings fellow KaW'ers

As the trials for ESTOC are currently running, many of the community are having random thoughts how the new system works. Different minds developing tactics (loopholes?). Throwing ideas on to the table to help their own clan achieve a different kind of fulfilment and ultimately bring out the best this game has to offer, be it as an EB'r or a warrior.

For the next few hours, different "light bulbs" will be lit up how to make the new system work for the better.

I encourage all to share their thoughts as the Devs and Players work towards a better system.

To all, looking forward to a beneficial thread and future!!

***This is not an avenue to tell the world of your old or new-found tactics. It is simply to comment on the "system" itself. Apologies if it has reflected otherwise.

  2. I doubt players will post tactics only halfway through the war, I have ideas that I'm screaming out in cc but I'm not giving it away to my enemies.

  3. Our war finished early. Other team ff. So spies are super useful in the new system. Scouting is much more useful.to ko someone once atk pinned. Avoiding k.o. we noticed is quite important, as you can lose tons from your plunder score. I recommend keeping spies and troops over 70-80%.

Ive noticed not all kos show in our cc when they happen, either self or enemy kos. Estocs edge needs to be rewarded as soonas a war ends/forfeited.

  4. Not surprised they ff, you demolished them

  5. Anyone else with ideas?

  6. With this new war system, there are many new strategies. Given that you have to KO someone without KOing yourself, teamwork is a must. Having a clan with mixed builds like attack and spy builds is probably the most sufficient way in my opinion. The attack builds should be able to wear down the opponent, and the spy build should scout that person until KO. Again, the new KO system forces clans to work together. No lone warrior will be able to win the war alone, I don't care how good you are.

  7. Definitely recommend keeping troops and spies high.

Since I'm not top of the clan, I wasn't given as much attention as the tops in the clan, but when I ko'd someone I suddenly got a lot of attention. As soon as I got real low from hits, I xstalled and then tried to ko the person hitting me. You only get two xstals I think, but it's a better option than being ko'd by them or ko'ing yourself.

  8. I agree with what DJ said. New system is all about teamwork. Our cc was going as fast as wc except no ads.

Great new system, can't wait to try it again 

  9. Thanks Wolf, and I'd like to say good job to Zaft for an incredibly fought war. They were well organized. Unlike anything I've ever seen. When the war started they took the lead and kept it and widened it. Just amazing. Good job guys.

  10. I am wondering if the hansel's loss from getting hit by troops worth the plunder they get from assassin and scouting?
OR is regular defence tower now a must for hansel build to slowing down the speed of troops getting pinned during the estoc war?
I would appreciate it if some real hansels experienced the war could give some opinions.

  11. Hansels were easy to pin the troops of, for sure. But unless you have another hansel around its hard to pin the spies of a hansel to knock them out. You have to use teamwork

  12. I wish i couldve participated:(
