Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7/#8 - General Update

Discussion in 'Past Events' started by admin, May 10, 2013.

  1. War #8

    Signups: 50
    No Match: 2

PERKUTUT ARMY - Your higher member size and high BFA for your build size created a situation where we could not find you a suitable match.

S.O.T.R.A Folkvangr - High member size limited your potential matches, unfortunately we were not able to find y0ou one for this war.

    War #7

    Signups: 35
    No Match: 3

WarLoR your BFA was too high to match with anyone of similar size and build stats.

MurDer War. your BFA was too low.

Black Knigts lower your sign up size to have more potential matches.

    X-Axis - Clan sizes
    Y-Axis - # of signups

As per usual, we will be monitoring clan BFA numbers and we will address any suspicious activity throughout the coming war. Please keep BFA changes post-sign up to a reasonable minimum! Anything beyond that and you will be warned and risk losing rewards and/or match-ups!

Wish I could say thanks for the war
Well respect to our opponents great tight crew and well deserved win
But devs get this through your heads. A knife in a gunfight doesn't help. Either factor "bonus from equipment" into the matches locking equipment at match up or don't ask us to waste our time.

  3. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Honestly don't understand why bfe isn't factored.

  4. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Agreed. And it's just going to get worst.

  5. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Bfe should not be factored in at all. This is the x-factor we are all warring to achieve.

  6. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

What do we think about the Estoc Wars match fixing going on between iFarmers and Swollen Members?

I have to keep writing this out, don't I?

I want to know if your rancor level spell ends after the season, but before distribution, would you still get the rewards?

    For example,
My spell ends May 29. Season ends May 26. Items are rewarded on May 31. Would I get my reward?

  8. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Bfe is a huge factor in matchups. We spent our mith on unholy aura and spy spells during OSWs, had little left for paladin equipment. Every time we weve been way outmatched on bfe we've lost, but when the bfe was similar we've won

Dammit, Anarchy beat me to it.
Funny how they're all ME and they're not even close wars.

  11. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Whilst I agree BFE is hugely important, if that was factored in for the match up, what would be the point in trying to get it?

     lol. 

Whilst I see that you are thinking only of EE, getting that equip is absolutely priceless for osw

    Thanks admin :D

  15. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

    Worm.

BFE is far more important when fighting from KO than either BFA or Cs.

You ask - if BFE is factored in, then why get it?

    I ask:
If BFA is factored in wars - why build BFA?
If CS is factored in wars - why build CS?

If you are right the only conclusion is the game is pointless ... why build anything? I would say the goal is to build BFE, BFA, and CS to war against the best and win.

The way it is currently a win says your clan is better at gaming the matchups than your opponent. Fair enough, but BOOOOOOORRRRRRRING.

  16. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

MrCoffee you are the greatest moron to come onto forums in the last couple of weeks.

    Why build CS?

I don't know dip-****, maybe to get plunder?

    Why build BFA?

I don't know go ask RedStar, seems to have worked for him.

    Why have equipment?

Because you spent hard wars earning, all to have it factored in and loose the advantage you earned because you worked hard and other people didn't/haven't yet.

    Start thinking you fool.

  17. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Huh? Your arguments both make sense, but worms is a little shaky. I'm with coffee

  18. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Anarchy I don't think you got coffee's point. And stop calling people fools you sound like an ass.

  19. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

Oh look another RPA runner who jumped ship the moment the clan started losing.. Who couldn't see that coming?

Go and lose a few more wars child.

    As for my argument.
I'm saying that people have spent almost 20 weeks stacking up mithril to buy the equipment, to be given an advantage they worked for.

By factoring in BFE, you render that advantage useless, because you match bigger clans with less equipment, but higher CS, who haven't yet warred to gain the advantage others worked hard for.

  20. Re: Estoc Trials - Week 6 - War #7- General Update

    Worm.

    You make no sense.

If CS is factored into the match - why build it? Its not like the clans with the highest CS are winning these wars. A high CS only pairs you with other clans with a high CS - they tend to be more experienced and harder to beat. Likewise with BFA.

Some clans even reduced CS and BFA so that that could get easy matchups. Now they have mith equipment. We are supposed to reward them with continued easy matchups by not counting their mith equipment in the matches? Seems ridiculous.

More importantly, if we dont count BFE - new participants don't stand a chance. Why join if you dont have a chance to win?

Sure some clans figure out the rules, gamed the system, and got lots of win and now have great equipment. Respect for that. Time to equalize the for the equipment, eliminate as many of the old ways matchup were gamed, and make people find new ways to win. Otherwise, where exactly is the challenge? What exactly is the point.
