Estoc Trials - No Match Feature *EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY*

  1. *UPDATE*
For those curious, , 12 out of 78 clans who signed up received a "No Match". We understand that some of you are frustrated and disappointed that a match was not found, but this was something that was asked for by the community. Given a choice between warring in a losing battle, and not warring, we chose to not war.

We are now looking into how we can reduce the number of no matches via restricting the sign up numbers and adding shorter wars to the schedule. We will be announcing this before the start of next week.

    ------

Based on this week's data so far, we are pushing forward with the "No Match" feature. Effective immediately (Week 15, Round 4), we will be removing clans from the matchup process if we cannot find a suitable opponent for them.

The number of "no match" clans will vary based on who signed up, and the differences between them.

Unfortunately, with this change, there will be clans who signed up to war but cannot participate. However, the benefit is that the match-ups that do occur will be closer together in strength.

If you find yourself in a "No Match" situation, examine the other wars that are going on and try to sign up with numbers that are similar to what other clans are signing up with in future wars.

For example, if a large number of clans are signing up with 60 members, sign up with 60 members as well. Conversely, if only a few clans are signing up with 100 members, signing up with 100 members will have a high chance of generating no matches.

Note that we not only examine clan sizes, we also look at the strength of the members in the clan.

    **SPECIAL NOTICE**
The original post incorrectly stated that the no-match system would start in Week 15, Round 5, but it was effective immediately for Week 15, Round 4. As a result, the active members that were not matched for Week 15, Round 4 ONLY are getting 10 Mithril.

  2. With*?

    And seems good, thanks guys

  3. Good, the last match-ups were terrible. This is a much better feature.

  4. So what about those of us that got screwed match ups today? Would appreciate at least a token gesture to show good will. An apology would be appreciated cos i've stayed up until minimum 4am to war and wasted pots etc. I enjoy the wars but this is crazy!

  5. Devs read my 'butthurt' thread?

  6. I don't think it's the numbers. Cause ATM we have 28 n they mainly attack builds n few others. The other side has 60 n mostly spies n guild builds n hybrid

  7. Terrible idea devs i would rather be in an unfair match up than no match up at all people like to war not do ebs all the time kaw was much better wen i first started WORST IDEA EVER

  8. lol idiots complaining about uneven matchups

Now this idiot complaining about this change

Cant please everyone, whiners gonna whine

  9. I guess he has never felt the pain of getting ko in 5 second every 15' because of mismatch by numbers. I am totally agree with no match up. I rather not war or giving my hard earn miths to other clan due to mismatch of participate numbers and strenght. Good job devs.

  10. Wooohoooooo

  11. I would say that numbers are FAR more important to have close - rather than just sheer "clan strength". There are a few reasons why this is the case - perhaps no one has pointed them out before:

#1) more people = smaller people (on larger # side): this being the case = less plunder as the bigger builds have to hit them as well. That in turn affects ewars tremendously - certain clans DEPEND on this fact to win wars consistently.

#2) more people = more xstals (again, larger # side): making the already big issue stated above even worse! Even almost statless builds can kill big players by constant failing - happens all the time. Perhaps you could limit xstal usage to at least the same amount since they already have the # advantage. **Example: tell the bottom 4 people (in the #40 clan) in a 36-40 war that they will not be able to use xstals this war. They practically have 4 xstals at their disposal hourly anyway. Do you take this into account?

I wasn't going to state what I thought was obvious but saw someone post a 25-60 player war!! that's nuts!! Honestly, if half the players show up on the 60 side and use xstals they have it in the bag!! That's just wrong

Ewars and concept is awesome and I know you're doing the best you can to come up w "no match" systems - just want to encourage overall #s to be a BIG factor in the no match. Don't expect perfection - but I'd say, 10% more numbers = no match regardless of cs advantage.

  12. Mith refund for the unfair wars today?

  13. Everyone knew removing the 60 max would create insane mismatches. I've seen crazy ones today b/c no max.

  14. What do u mean by immediately? We were match with a higher ranker clan, plus they had 32 more members, hmmmm that really a close match huh? U math is really off we had 51 they had 83 . How is that even close?

  15. ^^^^^

Think when they say immediately they mean...immediately.

    idiot.

  16. As in starting immediately for next wars

  17. Yes devs it would be nice to at least get xstals or mith back.
