So.... The "Turtle Technique" is dead? I have seen mostly positive feedback, some negative, and a lot of questions. There is no doubt that this ADJUSTED MECHANIC will eliminate the initial pinned entry into a system war, but the bigger question is, will it kill the turtle? You can pin yourself, but at a cost. You are penalized. KAW_ADMIN SAYS: So, it costs a smaller percentage of your plunder score. IS IT STILL WORTH TURTLING? Herein lies the question.... You lose less overall plunder score if you are self-pinning at the beginning (by simple mathmatics). But your clans stratigificacation (Thank you George W Bush) will determine how you will fight. You could: Do 1-4 hits and try to regen. *Individually, you could rack up some good plunder if you are left alone. Unload one full bar, and try to catch someone trying to pin you. *This (in my opinion) will be the new game. If two players are simultaniously trying to hit each other, its a race to either self-pin, or KO your opponant. Team up and KO players individually. It would seem the devs wanted to try to build a war where you are trying to keep a high amount of troops, and prevent the boredom and frustration of turtle wars. I like it. ALSO... KAW_ADMIN SAID: . You will be open. This will be a test of clan activity, and constant watching of your newsfeed, and coordination within your clan. I think this will be a massive upgrade to the system war format. Should be interesting to see which clans in an OSW will enter this to avoid being hit. :lol: Lets discuss......

If you put osf in one clan and use this format you can war non stop and never get hit.. No eb items and that dumb stuff but whole clans can repot, safe as sound, during a osw. Nice try ATA but in trying to make system war better you killed osw ^_^.
don't forget guys this is only a beta Changes can be made if they get enough feedback so come up with ideas that keeps this new war system in place but finds a way around these bad points E.g killing off osw and warring sub clans to not get hit by other clans
I think the new war system is totally unfavorable to hansels from what I can see. Trying to get on beta test
I agree. Hybrid builds and BIG pure attack builds will play a massive role in these wars. IMSO Pure spy and Hansel builds will "assist" ... I don't know. Spies assassinations will be big too. We'll see.
I think all builds are weakened. In normal war I could pin spies and troops and still be strong enough to win attacks from pin. However with the new system I will get assassinated and screwed.
Big hansels will be the dominant players in this now, seeing as they can assa troops and take out spies at the same time.
Totally disagree. The estoc-style war will not be a full time thing. And if it is, im certain they will not disable outside hits forever. And there will not be an OSF/OAF PWar scenario again.... DEVS DO USE DEM BRAIN THOUGHTS.
Does it seem like a good idea to go pure spy for the wars? Or would it just be assisting your enemy because to get knocked out only your spies have to be brought to 0? Or will the benefit of not having to knock yourself out to pin troops outweigh the fact only your spies will have to be brought to 0?
I understand that, but if the hansels are pinning their troops, aren't they essentially just a pure spy at that point, and hitting as their troops regen?
