EMERGENCY CALL OUT - new players quiting and grow slow

Discussion in 'Ideas + Feature Requests' started by Ender_-, Oct 11, 2014.

  1. THANK YOU ALL! For recognising the problem and help find a solution.
I let go of the analyses of how this situation evolved ... we too volley new members so they are able to hit in all Tier 1+2 webs, buy some items and allies. I'd rather focus on the solution.

I do agree there is a difference between newbie and new alts... big difference. B2B TFO won't get anyone hooked to KaW. People suggesting volleying don't comprehend the problem completely. The mains keep chat alive.. often alts are solo quiet (not all of course).

1a. There are concerns about the number of new players ...
1b. There are concerns about the amount of players that stay active

I guess Kaw and us share the wish for a popular game.

    2. There are several solutions to bypass the ally problem by making sure the newbie gets more and gold:
    - a max plunder spell for a couple of weeks or till opening highlands,
    - a tutorial... or prefab grow period so newbie get a good earning build, maybe including other ways to make them grow faster (lower pricing of lands, builds),
    - maybe a higher horn droprate, higher returns on lower ebs... taking into account the variation that newbies like (less important to alts)
    - not clearing databases to delete inactive accounts...i'd rather have more active players within price range...
    - limit amount of allies with lower stats per account, newbie can only be bought by newbie (hmmm)
    - a bot like in FC? That resets?
    - raise quest pay out

Anymore suggestions? Or shall I copy this to the change proposals already?

  2. They have a newbie gray color… y not a newbie plunder spell to go along eit that mithril? I mean, how simple is that lol

  3. HERE is an idea I've not heard that I think could be a great edition to the game for new players. More advanced tutorials!!! specifically that idea I think is genius. My opinion the current tutorial should be updated and a bit more in depth and when finished the player should be given the option to complete other tutorials that go even further into build types, max plunder, ebs, pvp, ally market ect... If you ever played the begging of a pokemon game where the professor asks "is this your first journey" that is what I'm thinking here

  4. New players already get everything half price lol.

Most of us had to pay full price for that ****.

It's like walking into a store and buying 1 gallon of paint for $20. 10 minutes later you remember you forgot to buy a brush. You notice the paint is now $10, but you can't get the rest of your money back.

  5. Tutorials should be carried out in a clan with experienced admins who can help. The problem with this is that not enough experienced players want to spend the time or effort to teach. This has become the biggest problem since the creation of pay-to-be-a-member clans.

  6. Yeah pup like that but two years later so no one should care

  7. Everything evolves prices/game/equip seems to be a clash between the new and the old.i smell the butthurt (no offence to anyboby)but if theres not a solution guess what (hmmm where did i read about other ata games shutting down ummm !!! ) there you have it,

I donot pretend to have any answers being the noob i am .but i do reconize there is one so i think the community should come together on this one (and i mean everybody) or kaw will b next i do understand business and trimming the fat, heppy kawing:)

  8. My alt is growing just fine  stateless alts are the worst

  9. I can LCBC a brand new accnt in less than a week with current prices.

When I first started it took me ages to LCBC. There were no b2b haunts or HTE's to give massive payouts. So you can't tell me that it's impossible to grow a new accnt.

Suck it up and deal with it. This games takes alot of time to grow. If you aren't committed you ain't gonna grow, just quit

  10. Pup that's the kind of attitude that will kill this game. The difficulty of growing in this game is far too high and off putting to new players so you have little influx of new people. I don't know how many people leave daily or monthly, but I can almost guarantee that it's higher than the amount of new players coming in during that same time. Without a feeling of appropriate progression in a game based on time spent on it, people get discouraged and leave.

The prices of buildings are extremely high and plunder extremely low. There needs to be more of a middle ground instead of artificial lengthening of a game based upon broken mechanics. People always complain about inflating the kaw economy but the lower end needs more income or cheaper buildings/lands. It shouldn't matter what the veteran players have already paid for the same buildings/land.

  11. Tom

You can't say more people quit daily than join daily. Why? Because you don't have any statistical evidence of the claim. It's a logical fallacy.

Now try to find hard data to support your claim and i might consider you less of a jackass

  12. 4/6 people I have introduced to kaw gave up. It wasnt because of tutorials or not knowing ( I told them).

They just didn't find interest in the game.

  13. It can't be proven, except by the devs, but the game is not easily accessible by new players. On that basis I see no reason why I can't make that claim. Yes, I may be wrong but it's more likely that I'm not. Not only is the game not easily accessible, it's not advertised to my knowledge. Another mark against the stream of new players

  14. I've had a 90% success rate  with everyone I've introduced and taught.. but I spend hours going through every step and teaching them everything I know which lots of people don't have the time for.

    This is an alt btw

  15. When I first started out I was in Little Mercenaries, B2B Ambush was running and was the best EB for growth

  16. The new generation of gamers don't have the patience for this game due to the fact you have to take the time to learn and grow and understand how thing work within the game

  17. I agree with him 

  18. I remember regulator academy teaching the game to us noobs. That was my favorite clan ever

  19. Oops wrong account 
