Aria lay by the public pool in suburban Pennsylvania, the hot summer sun practically burning her pale skin. She lay on a lounge chair in between her sisters, Lilianna and Heartia. Aria’s flaming red hair spread out underneath her, her golden eyes shaded from the sun by big round sunglasses. On her right lay Lilianna, Lilianna with her soft brown hair that almost reached her hips when she stood, Lilianna with her soft brown eyes that had golden flecks in them. Eyes that could make you tell your deepest secrets. Lilianna was, naturally, attracting all the boys, with her pale skin and perfectly carved face and slender figure. To Aria’s left lay Heartia. Heartia’s blond locks were pulled into an effortless ponytail, her piercing green eyes also shaded by sunglasses. Heartia’s heart shaped face was also pale, her red lips prominent against it. “Why can’t we be back on Aria?” Heartia groaned softly so no one else could hear. “Because Mom and Dad need to straighten some things out,” replied Aria, Aria was named after their world, receiving that fluttery feeling she always got when discussing their world. “But why?” Heartia pursued the topic, pausing to scowl at a passing boy. “They just do,” Aria said simply in her this-is-the-end-of-this-conversation tone. “Hey, Earth isn’t too bad,” Lilianna stated, “though Pennsylvania wouldn’t exactly be my first choice…” Lilianna giggled softly, her laugh sounding like the gentle tinkling of bells in the summer breeze. “Yeah, it’s so hot here,” Heartia complained, rolling over onto her stomach. “It’s hot everywhere,” Aria told her sternly. “Besides, you can get into the pool.” “Where they swim? No thanks, I’m good lying here, I’ll wait to get home to swim,” Heartia sighed, fanning herself. The public pool was dotted with people, kids, parents, and teenagers. Many of the boys who looked around seventeen, Aria, Heartia, and Lilianna’s age, were starting to hover around the girls’ lounge chairs. The pool was huge, and filled to the brim with cold water. Aria sighed, looking around the area. It really is kinda nice here… in a weird way. But there’s really no place for us. Aria thought to herself, tilting her head in thought. “Hey,” one of the boys who had started gathering was now talking to Lilianna. The boy was tall with dark hair and brown eyes. “I’m Drew,” the boy named Drew held out his hand to Lilianna and she took it, cautiously shaking it. “I’m Lilianna,” her voice was crystal clear, sounding sweet and delicate. “You new?” Drew asked. “Yeah, me and my sisters just moved here, our parents had something to deal with so they sent us to live with our aunt,” Lilianna told their cover story. “Oh, cool, where you from?” “Montana, we lived by the mountains,” Lilianna said easily, looking up with her soft brown eyes, no doubt using some persuasion of the mental kind to make him believe it more. “Nice, so where are you going to be going to school?” Drew asked, Aria started not to like him, way to pushy. “Roselily High, you?” Lilianna suddenly sent a message through her mind to Aria and Heartia, Why is he asking me all this stuff? Aria and Heartia shrugged gently when Lilianna slightly turned toward them. Lilianna stood up, hair falling down, and Drew looked amazed. “Um… Roselily High too,” he stumbled over his words. “Would you like to go for a walk, Drew?” Lilianna asked, smiling graciously. Aria, Heartia, see you later. “Uh… sure,” Drew took Lilianna’s outstretched hand, walking away from the group of people. Aria stared after them, confusion mixed in with instinct. She can’t fall in love with a human, no. Everyone on Aria knew that if they would fall in love with a human then, well, they’d have to tell them about Aria and it would be a mess. Heartia on the other hand, stared jealously after Lilianna, she wanted all the boys goggling over her. But soon enough the next boy, who was named Michael, approached her and they ended up going for a walk. Aria was left alone. Aria sighed, looking at her two younger sisters, Lilianna was younger by a year, and Heartia was younger by four years, wondering what she would do. “Hello, I’m Nikka,” a guy with sandy brown hair and blue eyes, approached Aria, shyly. “Hey, I’m Aria,” and then Aria shook his hand. Sparks seemed to fly, and suddenly Aria and Nikka were floating, floating together. Nothing was beneath, beside them, or above them, they were alone, floating. Everything felt so peaceful, Aria didn’t know what she was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t this. She was sure Lilianna and Heartia didn’t feel this, shock, when they touched Drew and Michael. Aria could tell that Nikka was just as surprised. They suddenly wrenched apart, shocked. “Uh, hey,” Aria was suddenly back on the lounge chair, by the pool, looking into Nikka’s soft blue eyes. “Wha… what just happened?” he asked, shocked. “It’s beyond me,” Aria told Nikka, puzzling over it herself. Aria suddenly stood up, red hair cascading over her shoulders, and grabbed onto Nikka’s hand. He followed Aria obediently, without question. Aria knew that it was dangerous for something like that to happen, because if something like it did then that meant that you had a chance to be soulmates with whomever you had the connection with. And Aria was Elvin, not human. Out of the corner of her eye, Aria could see Lilianna and Heartia finishing up with their boys, and getting together. “I.. I got to go,” Aria said hastily, letting go of Nikka and made a movement to go over to Lilianna and Heartia. “What’s going on?” Nikka asked, grabbing hold of Aria’s thin wrist. “I… I don’t know, see you at school or something,” she replied, this time running for Lilianna and Heartia. Aria’s flaming red hair was flying behind her as she broke away from Nikka and dashed across the grass to Lilianna and Heartia. She appeared by Lilianna’s side, breathless. “What happened to you?” Lilianna asked, staring at Aria’s suddenly messed up look. "N...Nikka.... He.. He it was weird...." Aria stuttered, catching her breath. "Breathe," Lilianna commanded, pulling her brown hair into a ponytail. "I'll tell you later," Aria whispered, suddenly aware that another group of boys were starting to gather. "Hey guys!" Heartia went over, taking advantage over them. "Hi," they said, staring at Heartia, smiling. "Let her go," Lilianna told Aria when she noticed she was looking angrily at Heartia. "Let's go home," Aria said, meaning their Earth home. "Okay," Lilianna said, moving towards the exit.
@assasian gee thnx For everybody else: thanks do the help!! Ur right I could use more pronouns thanks for bringing that to my attention!! Meanwhile, read my other story "I Will Fight For My Sister"
how can you not notice you used each of there names like 147 times? it'd probably make sense for a dyslexic kid to read
D_bo, if you think so many people suck, prove that. Write your own story and prove that you're better than us to the point of being worthy of insulting people. I dare you.
I really like this story. Yeah, it could use some work, but it's honestly one of the BEST stories in KaW! In my opinion, this could actually be turned into a book. Keep going!
I loved it! I hope u write more of this! Like a few people said, you use their names a few times so it is a bit repetitive but other than that IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
