Don't Hug, Me I'm Scared is a series created by Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling starting in 2011. In total, there are currently three of these short viral videos. spoiler alert If you haven't watched any of these videos yet, please do so. Then come back and tell me what you think. —–-----------------------------------–— For those of you who have watched it. As you know these videos seem so child friendly and innocent, but all of a sudden take a twisted turn. But these videos teach values and lessons. Ranging from Creativity, Time, and Love. All of which have an accurate yet interesting perspective on the topic. There are a lot of hidden meanings, and "easter eggs" in these as well. I want to know your thoughts on these. What do you think about each one of them? Do you like them (why/why not)? Which one is your favorite (If you liked them)? I think each one that has been made so far is genius. I do like them, it is interesting how everything can all of a sudden just change so quickly. And they do an excellent job of bringing this message across. As well as the creative songs they come up with. (Pun intended.) I'd have to say my favorite one is a tie between the one about time and the one about love.
The video had a nice song, then it took the dark turn. After watching it through the first time, I had no idea what just happend, and I rewatched it several times. Eventually I understood, and it was really dark.
Sorry but,.... Yeah I've had to watch each one several times to understand what the true meaning is.
Just watched them and honestly they're intriguing. They put a twist on current society and have different hidden and twisted ideas beneath the skin of each one.
Yeah ikr, it's crazy. Especially the third one, about love. They find him in his loneliness and use it to their advantage to try to convert him over to their cult or whatever. That one received a lot of hate according to the youtube comments. But I thought it was the best one really.
Shhh xanth. BR: I'd love to talk to the creators and pick apart their thinking process and I'm definitely watching it a couple more times. It's dark but the underlying themes are true.
I will answer this with a quote: —–-–— There are a lot of little things in there. The reoccurring date June 29th... Appears in all the episodes. The characters are also reoccurring. In the third one, when they are trying to get the yellow guy to worship their king in the background is his dad, the notepad, and the clock.
