Dissecting 11 SH Rosters A long time ago, there was an ancient city-state on the coast of Turkey, across the sea from Sparta. This city-state was named Troy. At one time, Troy and the other Greek city-states were allies. But with time, each developed their own strategies and plans. The city of Troy was protected by a high wall built around the city. Some parts of the wall were 20 feet high! There were gates in the wall to let people in and out but it provided great defense for the people of Troy. It gave the Trojan warriors a relatively safe place to stand, while they rained arrows down on the people below, who were trying to break into the city. The Greek warriors had been trying to breach the wall around Troy for about ten years. The Greeks could not find a way in, and the Trojans did not seem able to drive the Greeks away. Odysseus, a Greek general, had an idea. His plan was to build a horse, a huge wooden horse, and leave it outside the gate. Then, the entire Greek army would pretend to leave, as if they had finally admitted defeat. But the horse would be hollow. Thirty men would be hiding inside. That's what they did. As the Greek warriors sailed away, the people of Troy rushed outside, cheering. They found the horse. Instead, they dragged the horse inside the city gates to keep it on display. That night, while the Trojan people were sleeping, the men hiding inside the wooden horse climbed out and opened the gates. The waiting Greek army entered Troy. That was the end of Troy. Matchups at the moment are based on Hit Ratio. Simply put, clans are matched up, based on the overall effective hit ratio amongst the players that are signed up. As of now, the hit ratio being used is 75%. This means that at least 75% of the players of two clans matched up against each other can hit each other, with the success rate of the hits AND the overall plunder per hit not accounting too much. Roster Variations – 1) 11 SH/MSH; 2) 01 LB Tank AND 10 SH/MSH; 3) 01 LB Tank + 01 PS Above DTS Line + 09 SH/MSH Break-Up of the war rosters matched up as per Hit Ratio Mechanics – 6 SH (Fully Equipped) Vs 6 SH = 100% HIT RATIO 01 SH (Fully equipped) Vs 01 Mid below DTS Line for SH (Below 18 Mil cs, not accounting for ally cs) = 80-90% HIT RATIO 01 SH (Fully equipped) Vs 01 SH/01 MSH = 100% HIT RATIO 02-03 SSH (Fully equipped) Vs 03 TANKS = 50-60% HIT RATIO HENCE, OVERALL HIT RATIO FOR MATCHUP = 330/400 = 82.5% HIT RATIO As seen, this is a sufficient ratio for matchups, based on the present matchup parameters and satisfies the matchup criterion of a 75% hit ratio between the clans warring. NOTABLE FEATURE : Most SH can hit till an 18 mil cs player. Thus casting ore and more players with higher ADT and SDT may/ may not solve the issue. MODUS OPERANDI – After matchup, all MSH drop allies in order to become DTW to Tanks and LB. While MSH have a greater command over their own hit ratios, due to smaller build cs, Tanks and LB have a lesser impact on their own hit ratio, due to their higher build cs. Thus, if a Tank or a LB were to follow suit and try to drop allies, they would not be able to affect their own hit ratio much. A point to note here, is that MSH may drop allies in trillions, in order to escape the reach of Tanks and LB. In a nutshell, this translates into a case of 11 SH/MSH (Fully equipped) warring against a paltry 06-07 SH (with barely any equips), with the Tanks being rendered helpless throughout the war. I am no expert, purist, or a hero. I have myself warred in 11 SH rosters. SH do not have a plunder advantage at the moment, because most clans field 05-06 SH on an average. So under normal circumstances, you would mostly find SH hitting opponent SH and making just about 26-29 mil plunder per hit on an average. And the fact that you have to first overcome opponent SH first, before you can actually hit an 18 mil cs player within range, makes it even harder to plunder for SH during war. My only concern is about 11 SH rosters. True, each one of us is free to decide what roster they want for wars. And of course, it is great to be innovative and 11 SH rosters are actually a really innovative concept. But somehow I feel it is not right because of the fact that other builds do not have a fair chance in a war, when matched against 11 SH. Due apologies if I have hurt any sentiments through this thread. This thread is not meant to be aimed at any one in particular and is just a viewpoint. It is an open discussion about the present matchups and possible ways to counter 11 SH rosters. Please keep it clean, and let the discussion stay on the topic. Cheers ! Women were not allowed to become warriors. Your picture is invalid. Also, if I'm right a giant serpent saved the horse from being burned. You also forgot about Simon.
I have nothing against SH rosters, being an SH myself. But I somehow feel that it leads to other builds not given a fair chance in a war
Re: Dissecting 11 LB/SH now know how mids feel against their rosters, I feel all SH rosters are good for the game, not many clans dare war 2 LB 9 SH or 2 lb 1 big 8 sh anymore, which was the rosters that removed mids from EE. And the complaints from big spenders may finally force devs to make changes
Agreed. Mids have had a tough time with wars so far. And tbh, the present hit ratio mechanics are somewhat not clear of how to counter 11 SH rosters
The idea behind this thread is an open discussion on 11 SH rosters and possible ways to counter such a roster
Countering a all-SH roster is possible with a balanced roster. It is tougher, especially if some our members aren't achieving the number of actions needed. A E O N W A R fields a smaller balanced roster. While we lost to We Will RP U, the win was within our grasp. We fielded, 1 big, 3 mids, and 7 SH. Everyone could hit something. The mids had great range to tackle the SH. Personally, I could hit all the SH. It is definitely a challenging war going up against all SH. Our SH have to plunder especially well, and then the mids need to consistenly KO SH to gain plunder. Would this work with a bigger roster, i.e. more bfa, or larger bigs? I don't think so. Our hit ratio would prevent us from KOing the SH.
best thing thats happened to ee It forces those that pray on small clans to step it up and include bigger builds or risk all sh. Dont need to counter tge concept, just step up.
