Customise your profile! So I was reading the thread written by Inglorious_Saberwulf, which was entitled: Is the eKaWnomy flooded with gold? The link is here: http://forum.kingdomsatwar.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=171119&start=0 His point was very valid in my opinion - there is clearly an excess of gold in KaW, as people are becoming HFBC and have nothing to do with their gold, except to invest them into allies or pots. This has come as a result of the advent of the so-called "pay to win" EBs (ROTWB and HTE). There was a specific post on that thread that gave me an idea that could be implemented to provide a use for the excess gold in the game (props to wordwaster for his post). The "bling" that you suggested is a very good idea, indeed. I thought it would be a good idea if the devs could introduce (if possible) a way of a player customising their profile. I'm not sure on all the currencies that would be used to purchase this "bling", but I would definitely like to see gold there, as it would actually give a use for the cash overflowing from many players' pockets. Well, I haven't thought this through in detail but here's what I've come up with so far... 1) Background Colour/Texture It's as simple as it sounds. Basically the option to change your profile background's colour or texture. This may be a little visually different on the three platforms (iOS/Android/PC), but I'm sure that they would be reasonably consistent. 2) Banner Style I understand that there are obviously different banners, depending on that player's participation/success in different events or drops from EBs, but this customisable option would probably only apply to the colour of the banner, and perhaps adjust the style slightly without removing the distinctness of a specific banner type. 3) Profile Font Wouldn't it be awesome if you could change the font of your entire profile (all the buttons involved, as well as the posts on your wall, and perhaps your name?). I don't know, but I'd quite like it. Of course, the available fonts would have to be legible... But in my opinion it would be a very nice feature to have. 4) Trophies! These would be separate from your achievement badges. Unlike achievements, they would NOT be shown automatically. Instead, they would be available to purchase to show off some of your more obscure achievements! These trophies could perhaps show your highest ever EB plunder, your war win/loss ratio in wars, your total KOs, your highest ever leaderboard rank, and many other possibilities! The only possible drawback is that I'm not sure whether the devs would be willing/be able to record these statistics. Those are the possible ideas I've come up with so far. Sorry, I understand they aren't gamechanging, but I guess they're a start. :lol: The main thing I'm unsure about is whether these customisations would be temporary (as with spells), or a permanent feature of someone's profile. I support for Idea #1 and #3- Profile Background and Profile Font!! It would help ignite the creativity of the kaw players to message on walls, and also to decorate their own profile page!!
Profiles certainly could use an update. Not sure exactly what they need but it could be better. Maybe something like a link to their forum profile/post list, or a recent EE war list. Maybe something upgradeable for gold that doesnt effect stats at all.
I like it. But honestly, why not mith as well? Just insanely high prices to balance the war thingy and buying it normally.
i suppose i have no choice but to support, eh? to all the "no supporters", you have to understand that the basic idea behind this (or at least the part that was stolen from me) is meant to deal with the inflation that is caused by hte and crux chests.
