Broken homes built near a desolate highway cast shadows over the damned, fallen, and deprived. Near a dried up river bed stands a man with no legs, on stilts with no pride, waiting for the day he dies. A tear falls from his eye as he looks forth towards the town. Once it was great. In the days when the windows were clear not shattered, when the street was clean, not dusty. Back in the days when men stood tall and woman walked proud. Back before the interstate was built and the highway was the onlyway. The man falls to the ground and lays their as the sun boils his blood. The was old and useless and throuhjt his years he has became weak and angry. Could it be that today he dies with his hometown. ..... 2 Years later Weeks has past since a bunch of men in white pickup truck arrived. Rumors spread through the groggy town as of what their busness could be.. ....3 weeks later The population had rose from 43 people to nearly 500 in a short amount of time. The men in the white trucks are restoring the tow. And opening up old busniss building. Though the odd part is that they are building a massive wall around this old town. ....2 Months later A large division of the Army has been relocated to town. Confusion has set in, but maybe they are building a military base out her? At least the locals think that. ....4 months later Marshall law is called. And talks of a virus outside this wall is talked about between the military. Locals trade rumors of Zombies ......1 week later Rifle fire and hallowed scream are heard on the otherside of the wall. Locals speak of safty behind the walls. ....4 months later Down by the dried up creek bed is an unmarked gravestone. The dirt before is is dug out. ...The morning after The city by the desolate highway fate is renew as once again it become the city of the dead. (Let me know what you think.
