Jesus was the son of god, I believe Christians believe he was sent as a part of god himself though, therefor no, they would not go to hell as they worship a part of god
OK then here's my next question why are they called Christian if Jesus was Jewish wouldn't they be Jewish like him?
Firstly it's God. Not god. When referring to a supreme deity be sure to show correct respect. Secondly.... Stop making spam threads. Jesus was also called Christ. Therefore his followers are called Christ'ians'
My understanding is that Jesus God and the Holy Ghost are a three part being each unique but also part of the larger whole divinity, I believe it was explained as the leaves of a shamrock to Irish converts in the early Christian church. However there are schools of Christian thought which held other views on the matter. Most have been declared heretical now, the nature of Jesus was often discussed with in the early church his relationship with God and his personal divinity. There also was a school of thought that the God of Jesus was not the same God as the Jewish Jehovah rather a new more beneficent and benevolent deity who had come to surpass and replace the older vengeful angry God.
Jews and christians believe in the same god but to jews that jesus fella was just a prophet or something whereas the christians believe he is gods son and also god himself. Kinda funny when jesus is praying to god and going on about father this and that when he's god but yaknow. Whatever it works.
A lock on this would be nice before a flame war occurs over "If God/Jesus etc" Op, if you have any questions just follow me and I can help to the best of my ability.
