Calculating the Value of Your Assassinates in EB

  1. When hitting an EB, you get immediate feedback on how much you make when you attack with your troops. It’s not so apparent, though, what your spies do unless there is a STEAL bar. Of course, one easy method is just to do ONE assassinate and nothing else and see what you make at the end…but who really wants to waste hours when they can be making money unloading on the EB at every opportunity?

    What follows is a method to calculate what you make from your FIRST ASSASSINATE whether you are unloading with spies, or skimming. All that is required is a little diligence on the user’s part. It works with the following restrictions in mind:

    1) Spies start at 100% each unload/skim
    2) Regen does not occur during unload/skim
    3) Spies are used for assassinates only (no scout actions but steals are okay)
    4) User does not do items – this throws the numbers off

    Make money with your troops as usual. Use them however you like and there’s no need to keep track of them. However, you have to keep track of the number of spy unloads or skims you do. For me, every time I unload my spies, I just update the count to my wall.

    If you follow the above restrictions then you can calculate the value of your First Assassinate (kinda like your First Hit with troops). You only need 3 pieces of information:

    1) Your running count of spy actions
    2) The BONUS from your EB (shows up in your news feed)
    3) And the TOTAL you made in the EB (from EB history)

    CALCULATING VALUE OF FIRST ASSASSINATE FOR UNLOADS
    In a recent FoD, I did 5 unloads. Here’s what I got for bonus:

    [IMG]

    And here is what I made overall

    [IMG]

    1) Calculate the difference D = TOTAL – BONUS
    13,332,936,165 – 7,421,212,263 = 5,911,723,901

    This is how much money I made from my attacks. My bonus is based on bonus from attacks and bonus from spy actions. If I knew how much of my bonus was due to the attacks, then I can figure out how much of it is due to my spies. As it turns out, you CAN calculate this if you know the bonus factor (kEB) for the EB.
    For FoD, kFoD = 0.27.
    For Haunt, it’s kFoD = 0.64

    [IMG]

    2) Calculate the Bonus due to attacks (and steals if there was a steal bar):
    BONUSattack = 0.27 x 5,911,723,901
    or BONUSattack = 1,596,165,453

    3) Now calculate bonus due to your spies:
    BONUSspies = BONUS - BONUSattack
    In this example,
    BONUSspies = 7,421,212,263 – 1,596,165,453
    BONUSspies = 5,825,046,810

    4) Calculate BONUSspies per unload. I did 5 unloads:
    BONUSspies/5 = 1,165,009,362

    5) Finally, divide this number by 18.5 to get the value of your FIRST ASSASSINATE. Why 18.5? It’s a little more technical to get into but this number changes based on whether you are unloading or skimming.

    My FA = 1,165,009,362/18.5 = 62,973,479

    CALCULATING VALUE OF FIRST ASSASSINATE FOR SKIMMING
    In this example, with the same build and the same EB, I did 10 five minute skims (assassinate 3 times, regen to full, and repeat – I did this 10 times). Here’s my bonus:

    [IMG]

    And here is what I made overall

    [IMG]

    Let’s follow the same procedure:

    1) D = 4,583,407,792 – 2,420,730,163 = 2,162,677,629

    2) BONUSattack = 0.27 x 2,162,677,629 = 583,922,960

    3) BONUSspies = 2,420,730,163 – 583,922,960 = 1,836,807,203

    4) I did 10 skims so spy bonus per skim is:
    BONUSspies/10 = 183,680,720

    5) For unloads, we divided by 18.5. For five minute skims, we divide by 70/24 (if we did 10 or 15 minute skims, this number would change…18.5 is essentially a one-hour skim number)

    FIRST ASSASSINATE = 183,680,720/(70/24) = 62,976,247

    [IMG]

    Remember, these were during 2x FoDs.
    My FA(unload) = 62,973,479/2 = 31,486,740
    My FA(skim) = 62,976,247/2 = 31,488,124

    The numbers aren’t equal but they ARE within 0.004% of each other. The error is due to the imprecision in that kEB factor. Personally, using spreadsheets, I can get them to within +/- 1.

    Anyway….if you’ve made it this far, you deserve a cookie. And congrats. It's really easy once you do it a few times.

  2. Interesting... is the cookie magical?

  3. Well u miss calculated how much u make from assassinations and attacks to begin with....
    You attack an eb and u get 30 mil, but u get an end reward also for attacks. So end plunder assassinations is still combined with a few bill of attack rewards

  4. It's mathemagical 

  5. Its long, and i saw numbers. Must be legit!

  6. I think I'd prefer to just wait and see how much I get. That's too much work.

  7. Wake me up when the calculation is over.
    I would have to get my friends kid to help me out.

  8. Please explain that again for those of us who are less intelligent.... How EXACTLY do I get that cookie?

  9. Run Haunt. Assassinate once. Record damage done. No attacks or items. Take bonus and thats how much you get per assassinate. Divide the bonus by your damage and thats how much per damage point on assassinations, which is more accurate.

  10. @gac - bonus has NOTHING to do with damage

  11. You can attack with spies before full to break even troop to spy - then find an eb that's about to finish ( haunt ) then unload with spies only n see what happens !

  12. I'm asian and that still went over my head..

  13. You are wrong. Doing a steal also gives and end bonus

  14. So if I attack an eb using only troops I won't get any end reward?

  15. i understood but im a borderline genius! lol :p

  16. @Caribou - yes. Steals do give a bonus just like attacks do. I pointed that out in my post. It doesn't affect any of these calculations though. Steals are treated like attacks.

  17. @blue_panda. Your bonus will be that EB factor (0.64) for Haunting multiplied by how much you made while attacking the EB with troops.

  18. As the worm pointed out, this is invalid because you also get end plunder for attacks.

  19. ⇧⇧i believe that was pointed out and how to figure it out.

  20. Where did you get the bonus factors from?
