Please don't post in the story thread! Thanks! ••Prologue•• Muffled voices reach my ears as if through cotton. I hear a raspy, wet sound, as if someone is sanding wood underwater. "She's coming around!" I can just make out an exited voice. Mom? I try to crack open an eyelid, but I can't feel anything. Black, so much black. I hear my mom's voice again. "Is she alright?" She asked someone. "She will be fine, Mrs. Shelby." A smooth, deep voice replied. I tried to reach out, to tell her I was just fine, but I couldn't move. Help!! I began to panic. I began hearing a rapid beeping, loud and shrill. I felt a slight prick on what I assumed to be my arm, before nothingness spread around me, and I passed out.
••Chapter One•• It's been three years since the accident. Three years since everything I knew got washed away, gone all of a sudden, not waiting for me. Three years since my mother, my father and my brother all died. How? They won't tell me. They ony will tell me that I HAD a mother, HAD a father, HAD a brother, but they all died. At times, I doubt that they are telling me the truth--there's something more to the story. Well, how did I live? You might me asking. They all say it was a miracle, that my body was the only one they could save, and create a NEW me. Sometimes I wonder if the story is true at all--Did the woman I'm supposed to call "Mum" just want a child, and they grew me from a few cells? Am I just a test-tube experiment? What if I was--not even human, and lied to about my past. "Jenna! Lunch is ready!!" Mrs. Bergen's voice interrupts my thoughts. I stand up, pulling out my earphones, and clicking off my iPod. "Coming!" I call, before walking out of my room and shutting the door behind me.
••Chapter Two•• Sometimes kids at school call me a loser. I don't mind--untill She came along. She was tall and pretty, and everyone seemed to love her. I thought she might be nice--after all, who can love a mean girl? So-I went up to her and said hello. She wrinkles her nose. "Eew, where'd you get you clothes, the Dumpster?" She said. This girl is a complete SNOB! She looks at one of her "posse girls" and says, "We don't hang out around LOSERS, do we?" And they all wrinkled up their perfect little noses. "Let's get awat from that freakazoid!" One of them says. "Yeah, let's!" Another replies. "LOSER." Someone sneers as they walk away. Back in class, I pick up my Vocab book. Out flutters a tiny scrap of purple paper. "Loser." I ball up the note, having a perfect idea of who it camp from. I collected my stuff and walked into the hallway. "There she is guys!" I hear someone whisper. "Loser!" Someone taunts. I turn the corner and almost run into--guess who?--Mrs. Snotty from recess. "Watch where you're going!" She screeches. "You almost stepped on my Uggs!" I rolled my eyes and continues walking. "Loser." I hear her mutter as I walk away. I turn and walk into the doorway of Room 15, my English class.
I will re-write this request one last time. PLEASE DO NOT POST ON THE STORY! Use the feedback thread instead. ••Chapter 3•• Brrrrriiing! The shrill screech of the schoolbell jolted me out of my seat. I dumped my iPod in my bag and I swung it over my shoulder. Thunk. I look at the empty classroom around me. Thunk. Everyone else are in the halls, waiting for the buses to be called. Jeeeeennnnnaaaaa..... I spin around, my heart fluttering in my chest like a frantic hummingbird. Thunk. Jeeeeeeeennnnnnnnaaaaaaa..... I back into a wall, holding my bookbag in front of me. Jeeeeeeennnnnnnaaaaa..... Whoever it is, whatever it is, that's making that noise is really starting to creep me out. Suddenly, all the lights go out. Screams are filling my ears. "HELP!! Somebody!!" Someone calls. "I spilled my water on my Uggs!!!" Another voice exclaims. I'm about to make a dash for where I think the door is when a rough cloth is pressed to my face. My science teacher's words float through my head as I quickly catch my breath and stop breathing. "Chlorophorm is an odorless, colorless substance that can have you knocked out cold in five seconds flat if you so much as smell it." My head starts to go fuzzy. My ears are beginning to feel like they're stuffed with cotton. I can't hold my breath any more!! My last though slithered through my mind before I released my breath and gulped the air. No more than two seconds pass before I feel like I'm buried in cotton, then my mind goes black.
••Chapter 4•• A shrill scream errupts through the air, jolting my eyes open. I try to sit up, but something rough cuts off my breath, tugging me back down. Panic begins to fill my mind. Where am I?! How- Then it all comes crashing back. After the lights went out at school, I was taken by two men. I woke up in the back of a minivan. Rough bonds clutched my hands together, as well as me legs and feet. A gruff voice barked, "She's awake!" then a stabbing pain ripped through my left arm, and everything went black. I begin to flail wildly, my mind swept up in the turmoil of panic. "SOMEONE!!!!" I screamed, the raw sound ripping itself from my throat. "HELP!!!!" Clanking footsteps echo through the air and I freeze. I hear a soft click. A soft, hazy fog envelops my thoughts. NO!!!! I can't let them- My thought ends abruptly as I inhale some sort of gas and my mind goes blank. I feel my body go limp just before my vision closes in and I pass out.
Lol we meant to answer on here? And if you no troll op, I'll give you a hat so you can beg for money's.
••Chapter 5•• I open my eyes, and I'm floating, my hair drifting freely and a soft wind caressing my cheek. I smile, my face warmed by sunlight. The gentle tweeting of unseen birds flutters through the summery air. Tall, gentle green grass waves lazily on the ground below me. Suddenly, the sky is crowded with dark clouds, and flashes of violent lightning bursts from their angry bellies. My hair is whipped around my face. I look down, only to see I'm falling now, speeding towards charred, black earth. A scream errupts from my throat, only to be swept away by the howling of the wind. A flash of lightning and the deafening boom of thunder drown out my screams. A fraction of a second before I hit the ground, my mind dives into blackness. "Sir.....sir.....SIR!! SHE'S GOT A FLATLINE!!!" Voices echo around me, and in the background a shrill tone holds one note, screeching to the world. I just barely feel something putting slight pressure on my chest. A sudden, intense pain floods through my body. I convulse, feeling something wrench from my arm. Voices reach me through a thick haze. "SIR!! The IV is out! Someone get a tranquilizer! Make it powerful. This one's strong." This one's strong... I wonder what that means. The single thought drifts lazily through my hazy mind before I feel two sharp pokes in my arm. A warmpth floods through my veins and I smile, thinking I'm floating again, before my mind closes in and no more thoughs take shape.
