Bob, Carol, Ted, and Alice finally LC’d today, with similar but different builds, all around a common theme. Bob, being the Type A personality he is, decided on 23 Level 3 War Aviaries and 1 Level 4 Guild (which I’ll shorten to 23WA, 1G). Carol and Ted, being newlyweds, couldn’t agree on anything but decided to compromise: Carol: 18WA, 6G Ted: 6WA, 18G And Alice…well, she’s just weird and went with 1WA, 23G. They were debating the PROs and CONs of their builds when they decided to run a little experiment during Haunting. They would each unload and record what they made for their First Hit (FH) Plunder (P) and Allies Bonus (AB) and, after their EB was over, look at their bonuses. Here’s what they got (and btw, ignore pots needed to hit haunt…assume they had fantabulous BFE and fabtastic BFA): BOB (23WA, 1G) FH_P = 4,989,362 FH_AB = 11,333,926 FH_TOTAL = 16,323,289 CAROL (18WA, 6G) FH_P = 3,904,718 FH_AB = 12,036,326 FH_TOTAL = 15,941,045 TED (6WA, 1G) FH_P = 1,301,573 FH_AB = 13,722,086 FH_TOTAL = 15,023,659 ALICE (23G, 1WA) FH_P = 216,929 FH_AB = 14,424,486 FH_TOTAL = 14,641,415 Bob was pretty pleased with himself, having the highest First Hit total and scoffed at those rumors that guilds rocked! But when everyone reported their unload totals...he became quiet. Alice, it seemed, had come out slightly ahead. She started trying to explain that, even though her plunder was puny, her Allies Bonus remained a constant with each hit…but Bob was having none of it. For all that he’s been hearing about spy builds, her unload total (377,965,185) wasn’t THAT much better than his (362,038,479). And he had much better attack stats than her. So the differences seemed minor. That was…until the bonuses came in. Alice, as had always been the case, came in first. And not just by a little…but by a LOT! True to form, Bob began accusing everyone of taking extra hits or doing some of the items during the item phase. But after they farmed him for awhile, he calmed down. Meanwhile, the two co-owners of the clan, Darryl and his other brother Darryl, turned off “Lurk Mode” and decided to weigh in on the discussion. They had read my post on EB Bonus Factors and knew that part of the bonus came from (7/11 x Gold Made During Unload). Once they figured that in, here’s what they saw: Even AFTER including the bonus due to the attack unload, there was still something left over. If no one did any extra attacks and no one took part in the item phase…the only thing left must have been their assassinates. Let’s update that chart: So we can see that even though they were pretty much the same when it came to attack unloads, those with more guilds got extra bonus money for their assassinates. This isn’t something that’s easily seen because KaW doesn’t give you an amount made for assassinates. It’s all hidden away, but under careful experimental controls, you CAN figure it out. Darryl (no, not THAT Darryl, the other Darryl…the one with the Parrot Head t-shirt) soon came back with a chart showing ALL the possible War Aviary/Guild combos: Bob looked at the chart and began reconsidering his build as he moved into the highlands. Carol and Ted still fuss over their build strategy, but Ted won a trip for two cruising the Galapagos, so no one is really complaining. And Alice…she’s thinking about what her next tattoo should be.
Alice should get a dolphin. Because dolphins are intelligent, commit infanticide, and enjoy gang ****. (well, 9/10 of them do)
Can I hire you to come work for my company UPC? If you do this much work for free I can't imagine how good you'll be if you're paid.
GH's are awesome. The only issue is, initially until one gets awesome bfe, having to hit with pots/mith.
What is the point of these old time builds if not to farm new players? I've heard the done that been there claims but the game moves forward these are builds from the past. In FC the reverse Hansel was banned and players stripped of buildings. If another glitch is being taken advantage of it will be short lived
