To me the best builds for waring or fighting in osw would either be a hybrid or a war hansel. I say this because as you know hybrids are balanced out so then they could take some hits and it wouldn't really bother them. Hybrids are great for war not only because they are balanced out also because hybrids would be good at attacking and spying having an over all advantage. For an example if somebody was an attack build and hit a hybrid then the hybrid would hit back with spies either way they can counter with the opposite unit. As for a war hansel I would say that person would have a great advantage because they are mostly spies but with a good amount of attk and deff and a war hansel is 5 attack builds and then the rest are spy builds. War hansel's are good because if they have 5 mostly deffence builds then their deff would be good while having a strong spy attack and defense. The only problem is that they do not have much attack. Other then that those two builds would be great for wars. ( like I said it's only my opinion ) thanks for reading
In my opinion there is no 'best build'. It depends more on whether or not you know how to use your build to it's strengths. No point having a PS (just an example) for OSW and leaving gold out because you're inexperienced with the build. Better to have a build you know inside and out.
A balanced hybrid build usually isn't practical as an attacker against a build of similar size. It can easily assa it's target down but lacks the hitting power to effectively/consistently hit the target coming out of pin. This means it has to rely on using it's spies more and puts the build on a financial drain when trying to hold a target. Attack hansels are good for ebs but the the extra attack power only helps them hit other hansels(which usually self pin anyways). They are still easy targets for any hybrid or attack build.
@greatness that is true but if u ass the troops then attack u could win while that is pinning spies and attack troops
Like I said, you can assa them low but the targets strength around pin or coming put of it will be close to a balanced hybrids max strength. This means the balanced hybrid won't be around minimal troop loss per hit and still will likely lose too high a % of attacks to be efficient. This means spies will need to be used much more and make the process of fighting the target a financial loss each time
