The anything goes approach is definitely embraced by bellemorte, as she used a pm about a moderating issue and turned it into an osw weapon. Was it brilliant or was it dirty? You decide! This is the story. Most of you probably know that the -WiT- player known as tatsugin had his clock cleaned to the tune of 4T by Belle, wulf and company. What most of you probably don’t know was that tatsugin contacted bellemorte before the strip in regards to a moderating issue. Let’s take a look: Note to Tatsugin, the next time you need a mod’s help, it is probably best not to ask someone you are warring against. Anyway, belle seems to be helpful enough. Perhaps she will put her hatred of iG behind her and help tatsugin. Not likely. Look at the following ss. The bottom post by bellemorte a few days after the initial conversation is the key. Just a few minutes after this post, tatsugin was stripped. Belle was checking in alright. She was checking in to see if tatsugin was online. When tatsugin did not respond to belle she told Wulf who then stripped him and cleaned his clock. Apparently after this tatsugin wrote to ATA and was told they received no such message from belle at all. How do you feel about this? Personally I am on the fence. On one hand it was brilliant for bellemorte to use all her resources to help her side win. It was also not a smart move by tatsugin to put his trust in an enemy just because she is a mod. On the other hand, poor guy! Asks a mod for help and gets stripped instead. Could this be seen as an abuse of trust? Well, that is my two bits. What do you make of this?
What surprises me is, it was pure trickery. No "moderator" job involved, even though it was required. I personally frown upon this, yet it was a good strategy…
Val, difference is, you aren't a moderator. It's perfectly fine to check in your opponent the way belle did, but… She actually LIED to him about saying that she had sent something to ATA. She ignored her moderator duties to gain an upper hand in the conflict, right?
There's like what, 6 other mods or whatever? Absolutely no reason to give the leader of your enemies any advantage. Huge mistake on his part, smart warring by belle.
