Atk vs Atk Spy (haunting)

  1. So I decided to test some of the theories I've seen on the forums, people are saying using spies reduces your "damage per hit" on the EB therefore reduces payout.

I wanted to check if it was beneficial to hit the EB using troops only instead of fully unloading troops and spies (this was done on regular haunts). In both EBs I didn't hit the item phase at all.

    1. Initially I did 2 full unloads of troops ONLY, I got 836m each unload and 1.098b payout at the end:

    0.836b 0.836b 1.098b = 2.825b

    2. In the next EB I did 2 full unloads of troops AND spies, gaining 836m per unload and 1.485b payout at the end:

    0.836b 0.836b 1.485b = 3.157b

So from this I can conclude that it is "worth my while" unloading full troops and spies. Bear in mind my spy stats are about one third of my attack stats so no doubt this has to be taken into account when comparing other peoples results to mine.

Maybe there is a "sweet spot" atk:spy ratio whereby after this ratio it's increases payout but before it it decreases as mentioned by a few members I've seen on forum threads.

Just thought I'd post incase anyone's interested 

  2. yea its called skimming

  3. That's because you are a hybrid.. Hybrid mechs are different than attack build mechs. An attack build will experience different plunder results from spies.. But the similarity is skimming attack bar will yield the highest payout possible

  4. @Heat_wave yes undoubtedly skimming is the most effective method for making gold but sometimes people don't have time to skim etc. so have to fully unload too! I totally understand what you're saying though mate

  5. @dirtylarry yup that has to be taken into consideration, maybe there is a "sweet spot ratio" as I mentioned that could be worked out such that anyone below this shouldn't unload spies and anyone above it should

  6. 25%

The point at which you are no longer an attack build but an attack heavy hybrid

  7. @dirtylarry nice I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the info!

  8. I did the same test some time ago because I heard the same urban myth as you. It is total nonsense, the resulting plunder in an eb is the sum of your plunder for different actions and there is no correlation between spy and hit actions. I remember UPC came to the same conclusion.

However, many people will tell you that hitters shouldn't assassinate HTE as it lowers plunder. This is true in a certain sense. Hitters only gain very low plunder for assassinating HTE and are thereby "wasting" precious hit points from HTE. The total plunder earned from your clan will be lower... To maximize earnings from HTEs for your clan (except if you have unlimited seals), have your hitters refrain from assassinating.
