I have tried both in war and I am not sure it feels like it changes week to week. Obviously scout is more likely to succeed and takes up less spies which means more actions in war, however it costs more money in pots (if you do it properly and use all pots) and it takes more button bashing which decreases the chance of getting knock outs Assassinate on the other hand will always when successful lower either spy or attack troops. it costs less in pot money but there is an increased chance of failure. the other plus is you have more chance of getting the last hit and knockout (if that matters)
You don't need to pot up scouts if your spy attack count is higher than theirs. I would guess scouting.
I say scout, I scout a lot (while a friend attacks) and usually I get the ko last war I had 5 kos all around 150m a piece.
Assassinations pay better because you use pots and they use defense pots which will give you more mith. Actions have little effect on the outcome of mith
Assns fail some though so that may even it out. If u can dump a whole bar with 100% scout vs say 85% assn I'd say scout would pay more but since u may be in a race vs incs, assns would pay more in a tight war.
If you want to compare one assassination vs one scout, assassination wins. But it depends on your build, the build of your opponent, the tactical state of the war you're in from minute to minute. First you have to win or the entire question is irrelevant. Do what your clan needs, follow the plan. Mostly, attack builds should scout and hansels/spies assassinate more often. Be effective and mith will come.
Small spy stats should scout the target to 0 spies. Then ass if u can get pass the tower, pots and bfa. Else move on to the next target.
