This thread is dedicated to Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Veteran who fought bravely against Ottomans Empire in year 1915 Gallipoli Landing (WWI).May God Rest They Soul Who Falls Among The Good Men.Their Sacrifice Will Never Be Forgotten.Amen Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 We walked among the crosses Where our fallen soldiers lay. And listened to the bugle As taps began to play. The Chaplin led a prayer We stood with heads bowed low. And I thought of fallen comrades I had known so long ago. They came from every city Across this fertile land. That we might live in freedom. They lie here 'neath the sand. I felt a little guilty My sacrifice was small. I only lost a little time But these men lost their all. Now the services are over For this Memorial Day. To the names upon these crosses I just want to say, Thanks for what you've given No one could ask for more. May you rest with God in heaven From now through evermore.
Support Anzac Day. May we remember the ultimate sacrifice of many and their unwavering determination and the strength of those who fought for us; and their desire to see our countries remain free and prosperous. May it also not be for nought as we fight against ourselves for a political correctness and personal rights, and instead focus on sacrificing ourselves for our national betterment and on the founding spirit of our countries. Proud great Grandson
An exert from the ode of remembrance They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest we forget
I was lucky enough to met one of those men before he passed they were a great generation and will never be forgotten.
Lest We Forget anzac day was for wwi but now to most it represents the sacrifice of all diggers who fought in all wars.
