As I was browsing the web looking for topics to research for my project this semester, I came across an interesting news story that I would like to discuss. Recently, Jewish schools and synagogues in the United Kingdom have increased their security in response to the Denmark shootings, as if security wasn't tight enough after the Paris bomb attacks that took place earlier this year. This statement also troubles me deeply: "The number of anti-Semitic offenses reported has more than doubled in a year -- from 535 in 2013 to 1,168 in 2014" says the Community Security Trust. Note, this is only from the UNITED KINGDOM! Imagine how many other people are in fear of being injured, and bombed due to their beliefs? Speaking as a Jewish Bar Mitzvah, I honestly feel that this should be unnecessary, as the world should be more tolerant of people's beliefs. However I'm glad that they are putting these security measures in place, as it lowers the chance someone will die due to terrorist attacks. What are your thoughts? Discuss.

Note that the quote that was used was from the Community Security Trust, but the topic is about the Jewish synagogues. I'm sure that they are also increasing the measures of security in Palestinian churches as well.
The problem with the West's heavy-handed approach to "terrorism" is that it is counter-productive. Every time we kill one of them, their pissed off brother/cousin/son/father/etc also become a "terrorist" when they otherwise would not have

I've been told that across the east coast of the US, they have restricted certain religions from taking engineering classes. I don't believe it, but if it's true, that's ****** up.
We don't need a bunch of bull crap guys. People have been killing for religion and power since those concepts were thought up. It's takes people willing to use weapons and violence as a means of change, or rather means to not change, to sell weapons. Whether they come from the US, China, Russia, Iran, Germany. Pick your poison.You get the point. There really is no one to blame expect inflexible, power hungry opportunist. I don't think it has anything to do with belief. Good chance there are a few delusional ppl actually believe they are pleasing Allah. Churches have been attacked in Muslim countries on a regular basis. The treatment of Palestinians in the settlement is hideous. Clamputs and McCoys a kid from the other side of the track mankind enjoys someone to hate to feel better about himself. Of course for over 1,000 years religions have controlled government specifically Christians and Muslims. These two religions represent 57% of the planet. For over 1 billon ppl any religious belief is illegal. Muhammed's instructions in the Qur'an on how to deal with non believers in their midst are clear. There is nothing evil or wrong in his instructions 1,400 years agp when Christian terrorist wiped out entire Muslim towns. Convert or destroy when majority , deceive pretend to be a friend and tolerant when minority. So in these few pages, out of time, a fool can ignore the rest of this great book and strike out for Allah, 1,400 years too late. They are criminals. Just because you label them into a different category shouldn't change our views on them. Terrorists are criminals just like a man who robs a store. I think all security measures should be raised for everyone
