There is no doubt the Wulf is one of the hardest-working, most passionate mods around. His Epic Battle thread is one of the best-made threads out there and shows his passion for the game. Wherein lies the problem. The thread is too good. It is a complete spoiler that unfortunately sucks the passion out of the EBs. EBs were supposed to be to clan puzzles to solve. What pots do you use for FOD? When and in what amount? EBs were supposed to involve an element of thinking and clan co-operation and not merely mindless slugfests. Unfortunately Wulf decided to suck all the work and fun out of EBs. He is like the guy who comes up to you while you are reading Murder on the Orient Express{/i] and says " Great book! Who would have guessed that everyone was guilty?! Or the guy in the movie theatre who scream out these tidbits: "That chick is really a dude!" (the Crying Game) "Bruce Willis is really dead!" (Sixth Sense) "Kobayashi is the name of the cup!" (The Usual Suspects) Now one may argue that if Wulf didn't make the thread, someone else would have. The difference here is that Wulf is a mod and the thread is a sticky. Wulf and the Devs should have known better before they decided to suck the fun out of their own game. I therefore humbly requests for the EB sticky thread to be removed. I admire your passion and hard work, Wulf, but let us players think for ourselves a bit in the future before you go around and tell everyone that Rosebud is just a toy sled. (Citizen Kane)
it would take people a LONG time to find the right combo or single items for hard EBs. its not a spoiler its just helpful
Philo: I disagree with you, in part. Those who want to figure the eb system out with no assistance don't need to read wulfs thread. Actually, because his thread is around, players don't need to spam forum asking "what item do I need for (insert eb) so as a spam reducing tool, I say keep it.
@blutaiwan Simply not reading it would give a competitive advantage to those who choose to read it. That is why removing the thread must be an all or nothing affair.
Your problem (if one exists) could be fixed by simply putting the words "spoiler alert" on his thread, so players have the choice of figuring this out on their own or not.
Sorry for the book/movie references. Luckily they are all old films. Did you know that Darth Vader is Luke's father?
