I'd tell you a joke about the unemployed, but they usually don't work.

And guess what? Jesus died for you to be saved. He literally died a death He didn't deserve for your sake specifically.

So when you start to think of the loss your team experienced, instead focus on the victory Jesus won over sin and death. He fought the battle for you. All that's left now is to accept the victory.

I'm very serious. The OP asked for a pick me up that is personal to us. Nothing is more powerful of a pick me up than to think of how much God loves us!

God's greatest expression of love for us was to humble Himself in human form and take on our sins so that we could have a personal relationship with Him.

 

You just had to bring religion into this... Sorry guys, we may have to abandon this thread.
